Definitely a great cover, probably the best on youtube, you got most things spot on where it's pretty difficult to tell your playing from the track running over it. Theres two sections I think are different, but those are the ones I haven't managed to figure out myself either. The intro sounds more like picked natural harmonics, but there's one weird one in there I can't replicate. There also seems to be some 16th note fiddling under the synth lead section instead of just a plain riff with chords.
For all the people wondering about the harmonics that guitar have some kind of sustainiac pickup (probably a 1990 one or so) at 2:58 you can check the controls for that "standard / mix / harmonics" If its the same as nowadays sustainiacs in that mode when you pluck the string gently the harmonic is almost instantaneous and hard take a little more to build up
no they're standard open harmonics with a high gain sound and the whammy divebomb brings them out more no sustaniac needed or used here! sustaniacs are used to get harmonics in areas that you usually cant while fretting notes and manipulating feedback to be perfectly in key, hope this correction helps and sorry if i sound moody i have just woke up, all the best and have a wonderful day my fellow guitar enthusiast!
@@TheBernas97 thats a technique i use alot that you dont need any extra gear for, on the guitar there are lots of 'secret' harmonics in the picking area, very gently rest your palm on the strings and do fast pull offs and slowly move it towards the neck though it doesnt work unless you have a high gain sound
It's called pinched harmonics, it works the same as regular harmonics but you do it with just your thumb. After you plucked the string, gently touch it with your thumb.
@@youraveragebrian8305 yeah if you wanna get use to pinch harmonics turn your gain on the amp up high it will be harder since you probs haven’t done it before and do it on the G string 3rd fret that’s the easiest place to get one, once you learn the technique to do it you will get it it’s one of them ones where once you do it once willingly you can do it forever and then start to experiment on lower stings cause it’s harder like on the low E and A strings like he is doing good luck if your gonna learn them if you haven’t already
