This was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever watched, still brings tears to the eyes. But, being a local and a pedant, you did get the Thames flowing the wrong way from its source near Kemble on that opening sequence. Will let you off for that ;)
I fucking love live production, so much energy, so much planning. This was one astounding broadcast event. I pity the next guys. Hope they drag you into that somehow as you're international.
I remember watching this as it went out live. The shots of the Olympic rings and the rising Olympic Flame were absolutely sublime and seemed to come out of nowhere. It is a true state of the art to bring so much technical and logistical knowledge to produce the phenomenal moments you did that day. I'd love to work on live television production one day - and the commitment you and your crew brought to the show is something to look right up to.
Dam! Soo many parts, and many many things to consider. cannot contemplate the stress that you and your team could have faced! The pre-vis was outstanding but I am surprised it matched quite closely to what was actually produced. I think that indicated exactly how all the prep work was just as important as all others aspects. Above all things I love the mix of cameras was introduced to get the shots to match lol, steadies on wires? H&S must have gone mental :P Keep these coming!
Hi there Hamish, Really nice seeing this. I was one of the cast in the show. I'm trying to get hold of a copy of the pre vis. Do you have any idea how I would go about it? Many Thanks, Andrew Welsh

Fantastic to hear from behind the scenes. I was a PD volunteer so this is super cool to know what you guys were doing! :D

Paris 2024 should have watched this before doing something outside a stadium.

How did you grow your hair so quickly? You're hair was so long in the Katy Perry 2015 documentary and it was short two years before. haha
