As an LRL player I'm pretty excited about the Sevarith/Harukan shoot-and-move shenanigans and the tanky cow! And the moving shrine lol. Hoping they have a very interesting set of spell lores and endless spells too! I will say though that at the two big GT's I attended last year, the movement speed 4 on the Stoneguard felt pretty painful into how fast most armies were. Wish I woulda realized how good dawnriders were earlier.
This looks like how armies are built in Conquest, you choose a leader, leader determines regiment units, some of which are mainstay some are restricted. Then choose next hero to lead the next regiment of the warband.
Firstly, just to say that this channel is hands down my favourite AOS content channel (though recently I have been eyeing up some pretty tasty Juggz…) Secondly, from the battle it actually looks like (at least for Lumineth) you don’t pick a single spell lore for your army, but a single lore for each battle formation! In the match Lumineth has lore of Hysh in one formation and lore of manifestation in another!
You pick one spell lore _and_ one manifestation lore (edit: and one prayer lore, if you've got priests) for your whole army. Manifestation lores are different from spell lores (edit: and prayer lores).
Hi there, just found your channel because AoS 4 interests me a lot. Have no xp in aos, but the models are great. You seem to be a cool guy, keep up your work - thank you.
Rob is near the top of aos discussion channels. I'd say the very top but I couldn't choose a single person to be at the top of the tower for this. There's a few other creators of similar caliber that fit into this sphere of content.
I was going to start playing AoS with the lumineth earlier this year, but decided to hold off for 4e. This has been great and I can't wait to get ahold of the full rules! I love the current rules and flavor of Syar with their extra crystals so I hope they end up somewhere in the new rules
Very pro channel. Rob has a great passion for the game and a lovely calm natural presenting style. His explanation is very clear with a deep knowledge of the game.
I just picked up 2 halves of the Arcane cataclysm set and 1 Vanari shinning host!! Now with your video I'm so frikkin hyped for this new edition. I'm not sure if what I have will be any good but i'm too excited to care :) !! thanks for the 3 treats today!
As a Hurakan/Helon player, I'm quite hyped about these changes. Sevireth looks brilliant. Improve save, improved damage, and now a monster with a good rampage but I fear he's been killed off as regular Ally as the post shoot move has been taken off his Warscroll and been bundled into the facet of war
Question: The Alarith Stonemage spell says "Roll a D3 for each unit (...) that the line passes across. on a 2+, inflict an amount of mortal damage on that unit equal to the roll." Does that mean, that I roll a D6 and on a roll of 3+ I deal 2 (for 3 and 4) or 3 (for 5 and 6) damage and on a 1-2 I miss?
Would have been nice if they just, idk, showed off the indexes. I was a little concerned with the Facets abilities because I didn't know the "regiment" also gives you something to go with it. Sprinkling rules like this is exciting but quickly turns to frustration for me.
Many thanks for this not played AOS since version 1 didn't like it, V4 has peaked my interest so bought lumineth box, never played elves or used magic using armies so now I'm a happy chap about to go ₩¥£€s deep in the game😅
The shinning company (-1 to hit all Vanari units for a battle round) seems really good if you are playing a heavy Vanari army but I'm a new Lumineth player so I have no experience with this type of knowledge.
I am hoping it works out well in the new meta. There does seem to be an indication that massive damage outside of combos designed to give massive damage at a cost will be rarer, so maybe the limited "facets of war" are actually helpful?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but is there anywhere that says that you can’t stack multiple speed of hysh on the same unit since it is unlimited and doesn’t specify that you have to pick a different target for each one?
Not sure about LRL have some cool models but not generally feeling the rules. Wind temple looks cool but will see. Nothing in the rules to tempt me me to start playing them. Smashing out these vids dude. Much love.
Either you are not familiar with LRL or you are playing dumb, but so much of these things you mention are current abilities. Lightning reactions is not new, much of Severith is the same but worse than his current play (reduced movement and range) searing desert winds has been weakened and yes it's on the non unique version of severith already and is already not stackable. The facet of war is just all the LRL abilities that we used to get to do all at the same time and now we get to pick only one to do. Idk if other armies are getting nerfed hard but LRL is taking a beating from everything I've seen
I just cant get excited about ANY of this. The reality is that we had access to nesrly all these abilities already and it was constant access. This isnt new ways to play, its just a reduction of the waysbwe currently play.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw the rules. Rob sounds like the rules are new. A straight nerf. Apart from the hit and run possibilities. Aetherquartz seems to be completely missing, which was very important to keep the fragile units alive. I hope the other armies are toned down to the same extent.
This man won’t stop, and I don’t want anyone trying.
He overcasted Speed of Hysh on himself for these reports. ☀️ 🏆
Can't stop, won't stop selling mad izm
Hardest working man in AOS community, we are blessed to have you Rob!

I saw that game too
I was waiting for someone to catch that they were flat out showing tons of the rules and warscrolls throughout the entire match!
Yeah!!!
Thanks for the summary of the new LRL! Can’t wait for 4.0.

This looks interesting. Not particularly what I'm into but makes me excited to see the other armies.

I'm loving that this video is getting people hyped it's encouraging to see, keep up great work!
Very pro channel. Rob has a great passion for the game and a lovely calm natural presenting style. His explanation is very clear with a deep knowledge of the game.
Thanks Rob. Have a big Lumineth army but no windchargers, looks like I do need to add them (unless the point cost is prohibitive)

Lumineth Realm Lords looks like my new army - im soo hyped thx to you
I bet I'll be sailing my deepkin around the table on their gloomtide shipwreck
That would be awesome
Cool looking rules. Road runner windchargers sounds fun.
One of my favourite factions omg so hyped!
I love the alarith rules, kinda wanna make a stone elf army

you only miss on an 1. On a 2 you infioct 1 MW
These rules and the streamed game make me want to start an LRL army.
My eyes already glazed over.
Would have been nice if they just, idk, showed off the indexes. I was a little concerned with the Facets abilities because I didn't know the "regiment" also gives you something to go with it. Sprinkling rules like this is exciting but quickly turns to frustration for me.
Moving Terrain is for beginners. Real men summon faction terrain from thin air (Sylvaneth, Nurgle, new Skaven)
Tell me what you think on the comments below.
I think Rob is great.

To be quite frank, we basically already have it but it's constant, providing you meet a very easy condition.
So this is kind of a downgrade
@@cameronR1992 thanks for the reply! hopefully the internal balance is good enough we all don't have to play stone and wind to be competitive.
-1 to hit is always a nice ability to have!
Bit of a nerf for my ymatrica alarith list but then it's a new edition, so I figure everything is toned down.
After watching the Skaven video, they don't feel toned down :)
I am hoping it works out well in the new meta. There does seem to be an indication that massive damage outside of combos designed to give massive damage at a cost will be rarer, so maybe the limited "facets of war" are actually helpful?
Cant wait too see what they do with sons of behemat since theyve taken away brackets
Sad for the slight speed of hysh nerf, but protection of hysh finally being 12" is great
A illuminating
It seems they deleeted about two thirds of all abilities on the warscrolls.
Very stripped back
Amaze much good

What’s the “July 2024” on the bottom of the battle traits page?
You saying trolls and Kroc I got have increased a health each but my hunters are still 5 and have dropped to a 4+ save 😢
It's not a Loonshrine!
It's a Loomshrine.
Greetings praise algorithm gods
Is it truly Lumineth when their abilities say "and" instead of "in addition"?
Are there Generic spells you get in addition to your faction lore? Or are Lumineth going to only have 3 spells+manifestations to cast?
does rolling 2+ on d3 , equal 3+ on d6?
Sad mushroom noises when loonshrine mentioned 😅
Where can i find the battle?
If you have a shrine, wich can't be bought anymore :/.
Feels like a nerf to my bois 😅😢
Only 3 spells in the Lore of Hysh… one of the magic factions…
Yea that made me worry aswell.
I can't believe they let LRL win, did they learn nothing from the superbowl?
So is bravery just gone?
Yes
@@hendrikrasmus that's... a massive change.
Jesus Rob… sleep

Sentinels are trash again. Or broken. Or trash
looks terrible.
