I was thinking that too. And you could put in a 1-of vito as an alternate tutor target for troll, for when you're not opposed to drawing cards and gaining life. Then they take 3 damage each time troll gets tapped too, and if he ever gets to swing in you can give him lifelink with vito for potentially 16 damage :D
You could probably take out the massacre wurms. Now the combo still works with Vivien, but you cast Troll first. Since the -1/-1 is a static ability, it doesn't matter that the goats come in afterwards; they still die. This would effectively lower the curve and black-mana requirement of the deck, which are two problems that it did seem to run into in the games. The loss is that Vivien+Wurm no longer acts as copies 5-7 of Troll, which is nice for redundancy. This deck is a combo deck, and those two cards are the combo. Slotting in a single Kaerveck makes it so that Troll would act as copies 4-7 of Wurm, since they'd still combo with Vivien. And if you draw Kaerveck first, that's okay because you can just play him first. Personally, I think Kaerveck is a better card than Wurm for the small-creature hate, but swapping out all of the wurms would make the combo less reliable.
@@SpitefulAZ Well, being in Orzhov also gives access to cards like Etherial Absolution as well. I’m away from home for a few days, but when I get back I’ll share the list if you’re interested!
Assuming historic is okay, the hushbrunger troll combo is very effective there since you can get redundancy with tocatli honor guard and hard counter a lot of the meta decks that rely on ETB or upon death effects (goblins, neoform combo, jund sacrifice/citadel, any collected company deck) I like to run it with a bunch of removal and black card advantage like phyrexian arena and planeswalkers

A bit disappointing, yeah. When opponents are dawdling and I'm dead on board I scoop, but right before the kill shot is kinda lame. They probably didn't know they were on camera though.
I played this combo and got exactly the right amount of life knocked off for my two trolls to get the win. Fun deck! I just subbed a few cards out to use Agonizing Remorse to hit the hand and take out potential threats to the combo, like Ugin.

@@eggegg9026 If someone is doing an infinite self-mill combo with thassa's oracle or an infinite turns combo to slowly kill me, there's a 50% chance they don't want to complete it fully and would like me to gg early, and if I don't gg early they might accuse me of roping.
Hi, thank you for the video. I watched you jeskai narset video, and I wonder if the mazemind tome would fit in or if you didnt put it for a reason, btw I'm gonna buy it for my paper collection, so ty again for sharing your creations ! :)
Mostly because that deck has other avenues of card advantage and Tome does get destroyed by Inversion before we potentially got every card out of it. It's still a reasonable inclusion though.
I feel like the deck is threat light. Yes the big bombs are nice but with the amount of removal or counter magic people play in the format you can easily lose if they kill your bombs (which happened in one of your first games). You build a ton of Mana but don't use any activated lands. I would highly suggest at least 2 of the new man land. Just to have another plan of attack. Triple B is only for your 6 drop and the rest are double g or double b so if you trim some forest it can easily work.
so I guess you found a way to make it work? 😄 haven't watched it yet, guessing it's gonna be good though, so good video in advance. after watching: as expected, not a powerhouse, but game 3 was a great example of why I wanted to see something like it in action (a shame the opponent didn't let it resolve :(

At the end of the second match here if you'd used both heartless acts to kill both 2/2 attackers (simulacrums) instead of just one you would have maintained 20 life, then you would have taken 3 at end of turn from valakut. On your following turn you would have gained 3 from them sacrificing for troll, putting you back to 20 life. Their crawling barren pumped with all their available mana would only have attacked for 18, meaning you would have survived and could have played the symbiosis and if it had found a massacre worm you would have won. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this line would also have given your opponent one extra card one turn earlier so it's possible they could have found a way to kill you some other way, but I definitely think you should have considered that line.
@@LegenVD Yes, that would have also worked, but with crawling barrens being the only attacker they attack for 6 with enough mana to activate twice, and that takes you down to 2 life. Look. You had 2 heartless acts. You killed one simulacrum with one of them, and the second one you used to remove 3 counters from a crawling barrens. Removing 3 power from crawling barrens once preserves 9 life. Using it instead to kill a simulacrum on the previous turn preserves 6 life on the first attack and 6 more on the second. I'm not saying you would have won, but you would have had one more turn even if your opponent came up with the mana for another pump on CB. While yes, your chosen line might have resulted in a kill on the crawling barrens if your opponent had missed a land, both lines potentially have you survive only a single more turn.... except if you kill the simulacrum the turn previous you would have survived even if the opponent had drawn an extra land. Good games all around though, as yours usually are, I just wanted you to consider being less hesitant to spend your removal in spots like that.
If you'd used Turntimber at the end of Match 2 instead of holding it for a turn, couldn't you have dealt lethal by Wurming their three creatures for 6 damage?
Why don’t use Kaervek? Can be tutored with vivien’s -2 as you cast the troll, and having a clock of 7 isn’t that much different from 8
Definitely an option as a 1-of tutor target.
