Absolutely beautiful; encapsulating the anger, the pain, the sorrow, and the joy, lust, excitement, ecstasy and the stupid irony of life. Thank you for uploading this, Daniel
Marvelous performance! I've been enjoying your channel tremendously, Mr. Kurganov- you have impeccable taste in fiddle players, and you are quite a wonderful violinist yourself! Have the pleasure of performing the Brahms Double with Mr. Kaler and his son Daniel with the Rockford (IL) Symphony this evening. He's still going strong and he and his son play together with an emotional intimacy that is just lovely to witness.
Please, would you kindly advise who the wonderful, and sadly uncredited, collaborative pianist is? With all due regard, without the foundation of the piano, this would be quite a different performance with just a solo violin! THANKS!!
I am in complete agreement! The pianist here is excellent, incredible style and nuance, which is a perfect match with Kaler. Unfortunately I am not sure who the pianist is. I am 75% sure it's Leonid Blok

Blok (1936-2016) studied with Dmitri Bashkirov and Alexander Goldenweiser.
Very good interpretation! Marvelous violinist! Who is the pianist?
Doesn't it say the pianist is Leonid Blok, because that's exactly what someone else asked. I'm very confused, so could you explain?
