I'm not quite sure about the carbon capture, but you still have:
    1) the pharmaceutical industry
    2) total synthesis/pharma, especially when it comes to big-on-volume structures, like proteins (which is excellent timing of you guys with the m-RNAs structures just making baby steps into the world)
    3) total synthesis/oil: not all plastics (more big molecules) are recyclable and not all petroleum products are being produced without gas emissions
    4) Theoretic/Quantum physic
    5) Theoretic/Quantum/Physical Chemistry
and I suppose others, but I started writing this after watching just 2:38 minutes, so I'll just continue. It looks awesome 🤗

IBM is taking the lead on quantum computing, with this headstart you can expect them to dominate this field when quantum computing applications go commercial in the next 4-5 years.

Maybe before C 19 but 4-5 years is far too close with our current supply chain situation. Set us back at least 2-3 years. Back to the original timeline - 2030 is the most realistic

There are no practical use cases, and won't be for decades. As for the basic quantum advantage demonstrations, the one done by Google was always on shaky ground. Boson sampling is much more concrete (exactly proven to not be done classically), although also not particularly useful.

Extrapolating from my experiences during the pandemic, the actual State of the Union 2022 can only be the minor part of truth: military grade processors having always been two or three generations ahead of the commercially available/useable ones, is suggesting that covert customers like Pentagon affiliates or NSA et al. for sure already are enjoying quantum supremacy to break all of the conventional encryption not yet broken via standard methods/technology ...
