These amps are great. Mine had a Kustom eminence instruments speaker that was dying when I bought it and it had been serviced and updated to 3 prong power cord. The speaker I put in mine is a Jensen c12n, it also has a lot of amp noise but if you get a higher wattage speaker the noise can become less noticable. I have a 1968 K-25. Put in a Jensen C12N but I still have the damaged old CTS.
