I hope all is well. Welcome to my latest travel excursion. Travel has been limited lately, but this little break was well needed. In this video I share some of the hot spots we visited and things to do in Detroit in 2 days. We visited the iconic Motown location as well as 8 mile road. I also share a few eateries that are worth visiting as well. I truly believe that Detroit is the Soul of America.

I forgot about motown and the Ford place being there. Definitely some historical places there. Definitely worth the trip to see those places
Detroit is such a historical place and I can’t wait to visit. It’s a huge plus that’s it’s so close to Canada. I plan to put Detroit on my list of places to visit.
I’m from Cleveland and Detroit is right next door to us. I have cousins there. Hands down one of my top 5 cities. Detroit is a beautiful city with is much rich history. Happy to hear you enjoyed it.
I always forget that Motown is in Detroit, I would love to visit one day.
Finally, I figured out What Motown is. I’ve always thought it was a group/band like menudo. I’m not from America and even tho I’m familiar with Motown I didn’t really know what it was and never really searched it. Glad you included it on this video🙏🏻😃
I love how deep that pizza is. Wow! The wings and salad look great! Nice view from the hotel window. Underground tunnel sounds intriguing. Love the Motown information! Interesting to see 8Mile. I didn't know that about Henry Ford. Glad that you had a good visit!

I have this happen to me all the time whenever I go anywhere. There’s all these amazing places but they’re either closed or limited access so you don’t feel like you got the full experience. But it also does give you a reason to go back
I absolutely love your video, a great representation of Detroit. I was born and raised there but live in the Dallas TX area now. I still love my city, my favorite time to visit is in the summer with all the free festivals, outdoor concerts, outdoor movie nights downtown at Campus Martius, and just hanging out downtown. It’s a great city, I’m glad that you and your family enjoyed it.
Hello Traci 😀 Thanks for watching & subscribing to my channel. We had a wonderful time in Detroit even in the winter. We didn’t get to do everything because of time, but I would love to return during the summer for the events. Sounds like a great time in the Motor City. Dallas is awesome too. There are some stunning homes in Detroit - they're older than in most cities though, so they're not as big as they build them now, but have all kinds of richness and beauty once you get a closer look. For example, check out the Whitney mansion if you go back (which has been converted into a restaurant so you foodies can eat there too!). You can also do tours of Meadowbrook, the Edsel Ford house, and many others. While you're at the Whitney, you will also be across the street from one of the top 5 art museums in the country, the DIA! If you like architecture, the Fisher building and Fox theater downtown are definitely worth checking out as well. And if you have time left, the Detroit Zoo is one of the best in the country too.

I was most excited to see the Motown house ! I love old school music and most of that music was created in that very house or gained there stepping stool and opportunities. Looks like Detroit has a lot to see.

Oh wow 8th mile is real?? I never knew. Detroit looks really nice, just like most states I know. And I love those brown houses with the snow in front, looks like something from a novel. I would love to visit here for sure.

We've never been to Detroit. Actually never been to Michigan, but it's on the list! Would love to see some of the 8 Mile sights. My husband would love the Henry Ford place. He is all about history and we love Fords!

Ceaser Salad is my favourite 😋🤤 and the pizza looks so good! The view is beautiful! But since everything is closed, it's sad 😕 Can't wait to go to Canada 😍❤️ It's in my bucket list now for sure. You guys had so much fun especially the food 🤤🤤 I'm craving so bad for it now.

Detroit is one of those cities I never hear about as a non American but it looks soo prettyy ; the view from the 18th floor was stunning 🌃🏙️

Peach and pepper wings 🤤🤤 that sounds dreamy. Lol my favorite part of traveling is discovering new restaurants and food. Traveling with covid is a whole new experience, I’ve had a few international flights but the flights are basically empty since such few people are able to cross boarders, domestic flights still look so crowded 😷
I would love to visit Detroit! We are trying to transition in going back to traveling again yearly since pandemic. Hopefully everything will be smooth and safe for us

The breakfast looks so delicious, I always order pancakes but mushrooms for breakfast sounds good too . The waterfront looks almost identical to the one in my city

Oh Detroit . I think the last time I was there was for work. I stayed at a Marriott but I can’t remember if it was the courtyard. Was the hotel a black building? And you have to go back and go inside Motown one day! It’s so good! I haven’t been to Ford. Idk why! That is a nice neighborhood you drove through.
Oh yeah and people should know not to cough in public anymore. Lol you shamed that man lol. But I would’ve did the same.

The closest I’ve been to Detroit was driving through it. I’m need to get out and travel more because I’m a hermit crab 🤣. It’s not that far from me and I live in Illinois. The pandemic has us all on edge when we hear a cough. We be ready to pull out the Lysol!
