I would recommend the Bob Books. I haven't used the Scholastic Little Readers books, but did take a look at them online. Unlike the Bob Books, the Scholastic readers do not seem to be focused on phonics and giving a student practice in decoding (reading). And the one book I was able to look at online didn't have any kind of story, just a series of sentences. The Bob Books do each have a very silly basic story that my kids enjoyed. So I wouldn't use the Scholastic Little Readers for kids that are just learning to read. I hope this is helpful!
Yes, I actually have a video that talks about this - Favorite Books for First Grade 📚| Teaching Reading ruclips.net/video/AxC3TpD-5_s/видео.html. I create a book list for each of the kids and progress through each list generally with increasing difficulty. Hope this helps!
Thank you! This is exactly the info I needed. :)
You are so welcome! I'm glad it was helpful, and thanks for watching! 😊

Do you have your kids read regular books when they are done reading Bob Books?
