“I sit down and I think.” = writer’s job description
Black leopard red wolf is my favorite book of all time. It’s incredible and I keep coming back to it
I just finished black leopard, red wolf a few days ago. it was the first book I ever read by him but I really enjoyed it.
Love a Brief History of Seven Killings.
He's really switching genres here. I'd be interested to see if he can pull it off.
Let's be real, though, the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi really is overwhelming, between the fingerprinting and the guns and the threat of closed airspace.
hopefully his books get better film adaptations than hellboy's
🇯🇲
I don’t like to support just because the person is black I’m not hearing any good things about this book I need to know is it good because it is good not because it has a black Author 😫
Terrible writer!!!!
What a fun interview. Bring him back!
There is something I love about creating a trilogy of the same story from different perspectives. It truly makes the reader determine and question what they believe by engaging with the material.
And alongside the Reddit posts, Im excited to see all the RUclips Documentaries about “Does (Perspective A/B/C) Make You a (Mental Disorder)?” Can’t wait to see those conversations
So glad I didn't send Marlon a link to my gushing video response after reading Black Leopard, Red Wolf.
:)
What a cool guy. I'm going to have to get that book.
This is my brother
Your brother's writing is superb.
He is brilliant. Read his book.
Maybe I'm late, but he needs way more exposure. Hopefully, he'll consider adapting his books to screenplays. This type of talent must be witnessed by EVERYONE!
The story concept sounds so cool!
This was a great interview. I need to grab his book.
One of THE BEST MAN BOOKER WINNERS - in 2019 none of the other winners have surpassed this master piece
I love this guy!
I’m going to read this book! I’ve been searching for a new trilogy.
He's an amazing writer, can't wait to read Black Leopard, Red Wolf!
Just from reading this book, super intense but an amazing read.
Kudos to the intern who uploads the RUclips vids for the meta joke in the title.
Absolutely! So sad hardly anyone seems to have noticed!
I heard a radio interview with him on Monday , February 4 , 2019 from a CBC interview done by Tom Power for a show called " Q " . People should try to get a copy of that . It was much more gritty and enlightening than this interview . ( I am not criticising Seth . The formats are different . )
I know what he said but for a second I thought he said "Jar-Jar Martin" for some reason. o.O
That's what I heard too.
That's what I thought too!
Jah Jah Martin
What a charming guy. I got totally immersed in A Brief History of Seven Killings when it came out. That one too seems like ripe material for a long form series.
Can't wait to read the new book.
And as an Indian, Marlon, we grant you a pass - that airport really does suck.
It's definitely going to explode on Reddit. I wonder if the books will be like American Gods and be able to someday become an amazing TV series.
Michael B Jordan already bought the movie rights to the book before it was published
@@blubon
Yep. Warner Bros will produce and distribute the eventual movie. So they'll have their own Black Panther-style universe.
@@GlareBoxTV Please don't make it like Black Panther. 🙄
@@anonb4632 It's far more violent and twisted than anything in the BP comics. It'll prob end up on HBO max or an R-rated movie.
SHOW THE BOOK: BASIC
No, not basic. One side tries to flog a product, the other tries to get info and the two do a merry dance.
What was the title of that book?
Black Leopard, Red Wolf
Seth never showed the book!
I noticed and kept wondering if I missed it!
Yea what's the tittle of that book?
@@rethbell Black Leopard, Red Wolf
the cover is gorgeous I don't know why he wouldn't show it
True! He needs to show it in the next episode
If this series is like Game of Thrones I'm not buying it. If it is like A Song of Ice and Fire count me in.
Damn, he sounds different than I expected.
He sounds like a Jamaican which he is. Slight US intonation.
Who doesn't like reader feedback? Positive or negative, at least you know someone is reading..:)
You also know they're reading when they buy your book.
I'm sure if your every waking breath for 12+ months is put into creating something from your mind, heart and soul, having some 23-year-old who's never written a sentence outside of their tumblr blog tell you what they would change in front of an audience would be pretty fucking infuriating, no?
@@JakeStarstorm Seriously! and if it's a forum for questions, and someone just wants to state their own opinion... there are other places for that.
Jaq Tweedie Not really some readers do experience buying books and a couple or more years later of never picking the books up to read; they come to the conclusion that they probably won’t as interest has been lost. In fact I’ve heard booktubers talk about this.
We're getting used to the idea of not trusting the storyteller thanks to FOX News.
"FOX NEWS. The KINGS of unreliable narration!"
I doubt Seth read it
Beautiful, charming man. Wonderful book.
agreed; he's quite the hottie!
