Hi kevin been there 6 times on holiday over the years its got more more expensive over the years but it is a very nice place and clean. Cavtat and lapad are great shame you didnt visit them when you was there.
Kev, you missed a trick, that bar that was opposite the upstairs Irish bar offered cheap to go coffee , is a cheap locals bar, bottles only €3 a pop. Surprised you missed it being as tight as a drum😂😂😂 everywhere is getting expensive to us but that stems from our wages growth being stagnant since around 2008 whereas other major economies has seen an increase since then, that’s why the yanks, scandies and Aussies think it’s cheap in Europe, blame our dire politicians mate
@@ScotsmaninTenerife the USA was on my list but from what you experienced and also a mate just came back from Santa Monica, it’s just too expensive plus Europe is lovely anyway, going to Thailand and the surrounding countries again in Jan, 11 weeks mate, it’s still really cheap there, especially class hotels

It seems as though the successful formula for city break videos must be. Some lad following his mrs round filming from behind. Very little info about the city but loads of info about the dress she's wearing and make up she's got on. Give it a shot!
Some people do not understand that if you go to cities prices are more or less the same. When I we went to London or York recently beers were about 8.50 per pint which equivalent to 10 euros, so not bad. Don't get me started on five something or other brand which works about the same.
You can blame Hollywood and its game of thrones series for the hike in prices in Dubrovnik. Complete overkill. But if there’s a market for it people will pay. I’ve been twice to Dubrovnik the last two years but the prices do put you off. Montenegro much much cheaper and just as beautiful
Normal city prices , but I can’t for the life of me understand how anyone can charge what they do for a burger these days. Maybe it’s because I don’t like burgers, god knows .
Looked at Dubrovnik last year and was put off by the prices. Ended up going to Budva in Montenegro. Really enjoyed it and very reasonably priced. Only downside was the building work and roadworks going on. Reminded me of Benidorm in the late 70’s.

Dubrovnik is the most expensive tourist destination in Croatia. Prices outside the old town are generally cheaper.

the prices used to be very low but that was before the euro. accommodation for 2 nights for 2 people was about 50 quid in old town

Dubrovnik was always the most expensive city in Croatia, as far as I can remember, basically double the prices of other cities.

Dublin is more expensive than Dubrovnik.
Definitely a more expensive city to visit but like most if you veer away from the main tourist spots you’ll find cheaper places.
