You have the Total Control rule wrong, just have a look at the Quick Reference on the back page of the manual - Total Control is when you fill ALL the spaces. Control is when you have the most pieces there.

Apart from the Total Control error - good video and cleared up in my mind a few game play mechanics I wan't sure of.
