After listening to this play, now understand what is meant by the word, "Gaslighting." I recognize it happening at the highest level. I also recognize WHY it is happening at the highest level. Gaslighting at the highest level is exasperating, but it has no power to cause insanity when the Truth has already been witnessed & verified.
The Great Jack Benny often liked to imitate Charles Boyer on his radio program. So he must had a ball performing a parody of "Gaslight" with the help of Ingrid Bergman.
Sounds like they got most of the film's original cast, or at least actors that sounded like them, except for Joseph Cotten's character. Damn he was amazing as the detective. Nancy is definitely Lansbury.
Ingrid Berman one of the most beautiful actress’s of the silver screen
Just excellent! Thank you!
As always, you're welcome!

Well, I'd guess that is common knowledge, the term really does have it's origin in the 1938 stage play.
Watch the movie
My family has always told each other " Your Gaslighting me!" Haha... we really are crazy though! Thank you.
That's funny - Thanks for sharing!
I've heard tell that Charles Boyer was the inspiration for WB cartoon star Peppi LePew. Hearing him, I can believe it.
It could be - but one thing for sure, Boyer has an excellent first name!

I've always loved Jack Benny - He also starred in 4 Suspense episodes! (all are on my channel)
This radio rendition is better than the actual movie dialogue.
That's because it includes more exposition, rather than the visual cues.
The movie is a masterpiece.
Came here after Dr. Kynan Bridges video on Narcissism (a commenter suggested)-- I guess Radio Theater will be ok :)
Not as subtle as the movie, but a great performance! Thanks! Watching this on Ingrid Bergman's birthday.
This very movie was on TCM today!

I try to post my Radio Theater uploads that feature (at least) the original lead actors - thanks for your comments!
This is one of my favorites, but I'd love to know who else was in the cast and which character they played.
+Strange Paradise Usually, they'll give credits at the very end of the broadcast - but not always.
Poor Paula
