For me I would loveeeee to see them do a Parallel Universe concept there would be loads of opportunities for a great story because there could be multiple different outcomes.
Ok so let me get this out the way first lol.. for me the most important thing is the music.. they can do whatever concept visually or story wise they want as long as they carry on with their 90s club genres... i only point this out because now min heejin has 3 underlings that are loyal to hybe her future plans for the group will always likely be outvoted 3 to 1 by them... if their future music has hybe making them sound like le sserafim or blackpink i will be so mad as i really don't like that style of music. Anyway sorry to sound so negative but its a real worry for me. Onto future concepts i like your idea of parallel universes.. i often think they touched on that a little with ditto and omg being connected but seemingly set in parralell universes.... i think visually the retro 'hip hop' outfits is honestly their BEST look they look so cool ... in particular i think it REALLY suits Minji, Haerin and Hanni SO WELL. Dani and Hyein still rock it but the other 3 seem to perform the 'attitude' of it so well. I wouldnt be mad if they carried on with that look.. really dont want to see them do a 'sexy' look as its so overdone already and despite how beautiful they all are i dont think it fits their music styles at all.. I want more uk garage and more new jack swing... those genre tunes of theirs are my favourite from them. Conceptually i really dont mind.. as long as they keep doing these deep lore videos that i have sooo much fun trying to decipher...
@@jaynadiah5498 you are such a genius they should hire you! I def want more UK Garage I’ve been obsessed with their outfits lately. I’ve been thinking about something lately I hope people don’t take it the wrong way. But I watched their bts of supernatural and for one they were giving Haerin this direction to act mad and haerin is so cute but I haven’t really seen her do many other facial expressions so she was just doing her normal Haerin face lol and it got me thinking if they did more acting maybe this video would have came across differently and I would understand it more. I would love something that they could truly act in with lots of lore!!
@@Nicoleboojie They did not mess when they picked these 5 girls lol... not sure if youve seen the coke studio performance of how sweet but keep an eye on hanni her facial expressions are so bad ass hip hop girl its crazy lol. Minji and Haerin too fit it so well... The lack of expression you say on Haerin actually makes her fit in with the hip hop vibe a lot.. giving her an almost dont give a f vibe... and minji just looks badass.... dani still slays the choreo but their constant smiley face (usually her greatest asset) doesnt give of the attitude the other 3 do :P im also obsessed with baggy fits this comeback as its what i used to wear in my teen days in early 90s as well lol... i am in my 40s now so i havent really cared about designer brands and such these days but i kept getting so envious and nostalgic seeing these girls wear some of my fave nikes of my youth they actually made me go out and spend £140 on some Nike Air Max 90 Goretex lol (my fave pair i had when i was probably about 15 lol). Also is that the same Behind the scenes where minji is hilariously picking on everyone for being so short lol
@@Nicoleboojie honestly though their lore videos are always made difficult to understand they are meant to be broken down.. i mean you may think the theory i had is a bit out there but thats literally what is happening.. once you know and watch it again it will make perfect sense.. i mean they literally all board a UFO at the end and go back to the bunny dinosaur planet... the video is minji trying to convince Heyin to leave the boy because she needs to go back with them as all 5 need to together... them being aliens i beleive is a metaphor for idol life... idols arent 'normal' people.... constantly under scrutiny and if they make a mistake (haerin makes the 'mistake' of showing her powers to the humans) then the netizens (humans) will 'attack' them with hate. Also (most) idols aren't really allowed to publicly be in a relationship as most companies think it hurts their image. The Hyein/Boy is a metaphor for that. With Minji trying to get her to stay with the 'group' and not leave newjeans by staying on earth with 'the boy' . Its about idol groups only having each other to get by through both the good and bad times and the need for them to stick together. Also the Part 10 at the end i think is meant to be a timeskip and it just means they have been back on their homeworld for quite some time probably around 40 years later.. as the first part had them time skipping from 80s to present day during the choreo so they were probably on earth for around 40 years ... not aging... like a timeless pair of 'newjeans'
So basically what’s going on in this music video is that you see Danielle, talking about the weather and how they’re going to be unusual species coming and stuff like that. So hanni and minji are fighting about how the storm is going to affect their powers and can lead to their powers getting revealed. With hyein, she likes the boy but minji only wants to be the boy’s friend so she explains to her that’s why she doesn’t make strong relationships with other people because they could end up hurting others. In the photo shoot scene where they’re taking pictures of minji you can see the light flicker off and Haerin runs off. the cause of the light turning off was because the storm is slowly affecting their powers. and later in the video you see bunny type aliens. These aliens are looking for a new jeans and that’s why there’s a storm. And the part where minji starts speaking. Spanish is just the captions being messed up.
NewJeans ARE the aliens from the bunny planet... its the humans that are after NewJeans after they find out NewJeans are actually aliens... this makes newjeans want to retreat back to their home planet for safety... but hyein doesnt want to leave because shes in love with the human boy... the argument is hyein explaining to minji that they need to leave now back to their home planet... minji says we 5 are 1.. meaning shes not prepared to go back without hyein.. so this is why she keeps trying to split them up... after their conversation on the boat minji convinces hyein to come back with them so next scene shows minji leading bunny hyein back to their spaceship where they return home... part x probably just means a bunch of time has passed and newjeans are now back happily on their homeworld... probably also metaphor on how and why (most) idols arent allowed to have relationships

from what i do understand tho about the guy storyline is that hyein liked the guy/wanted to be his friend or smth but minji was trying to stop that because it was dangerous since they are not normal people, at the end when they are on boat thats when hyein understands that and minji looks at the guy and laughs at him and hyein is now like why did i ever like him

I actually really liked this video although I can understand the confusion. So many videos, and even songs, in Kpop just lack creativity to me and just feel like the same redundant tired out formulaic thing (picture boy groups jumping around, stomping a lot, and screaming and girl groups doing "girl crush concept" jumping around, stomping a lot, and screaming all with dark backgrounds and rapid scene changes). NewJeans is different and this is what I love about them. They tell stories and their music is fresh and R&Bish. I would really recommend viewing the video put out by ADOR, "[Making Jeans] NewJeans (뉴진스) 'Supernatural' MV Behind...," because this video gives a lot of context, background, and highlights some of the most intriguing features of the Supernatural videos.

For me, I just enjoy the music, visuals and choreography. I don't want to think, I want to feel, so I'm not even trying to understand the storyline. That will come bit by bit over time with repeated watches as it did with Ditto and Cool With You. 🥰
