@@BJJandBS the illegal side has a raid siren alarm + sprinkler system that has activated on me twice trying to get over there
@@grandma6356 at the entrance off of the main road? i ride my bike through there down that canal. are you saying that getting close to the water it has an alarm? never thought to fish that side. im always on other side.
@@BJJandBS Not sure exactly where it is but going around the side of the locked gate and down that path there is an alarm, 2 out of the 3 times i've went down there it went off. It's legit like a hurricane siren 😂

Live this dream everyday in West Palm Beach at the spillway! Mostly through plastic baits and absolutely crush them and I'm talking fish over 50 inches. We would call the Mayan cichlids Dalai lompas

@@colemerbler6481 are you going when the locks are open because that's the best place on the planet and some Florida record snook. I've caught something myself over 44 lb. No such thing as the spillway dead when its open and running
@@1carpentrys i can usually fish on the side but are you talking about the gate that is like on the bridge of the spillway right above the actual moving water that leads to the other side because that is never open
do you have to go through private neighborhood to get to spillway or jump the fence with barb wire
No it’s a gate code you have to enter

@@anthonymusser6930 😅 ope Google map> look for waterways that lead out to the river/ocean from inland> follow the canal to the spillway! Every canal that leads to the river/ocean has a spillway somewhere on it. Just gotta look for them and figure it out like me and the rest of the spillway fishing community does 👍🏾

What ounce weight were u using bro? Would a normal weight to uni to uni work for that rig, or a weight to swivel and to leader kind of thing. I have exact same conventional setup and this looks like an effective way to get on fatties consistent in the spillway
So with spillway fishing it depends how deep the spillway is this spillway is only about 7-8 ft deep so I’m using a 1 ounce split shot but if it’s going to be a deep spillway you use a 1.5-3 ounce weight and a uni to uni is good.

@@FishingWithAdrianOjea I fish the other side of that spillway quite a bit. Do you park in that hood and walk through someones yard? I don't see any other way to get there other than parking at the lot on the other side.
