I don't like encountering deceitful people with lots of masks and when I spot a crack and see beneath the mask, I start a countdown for them without realizing. I just noticed I did that as I'm writing here. I countdown until they make 2 or 3 mistakes towards me by not respecting my wishes and boundaries and when I feel like I don't gain anything by having a person that doesn't listen to my wishes I leave them behind by cutting ties. I withdraw from being in the same places as them but still have to see them around even if I don't talk with them. It's like they start to see the barrier I put up after being refused to engage with them and they go on their way as well.
