Dear SG, despite BJP's 240 seats, TD and JDU will get some plum ministers. It is not about how big BJP is but how critical these smaller parties are.
I'm glad if the kingmaker is going to be a capitalist leader like Naidu. BJP just needs to give Andhra Pradesh extra funds for Amaravati which is anyways good for the country so its a win win for both

The one thing I can say as an 18 year old is that I have been able to enjoy my rights and freedom in Modi's 10 years of being at the helm. I am not his supporter in any way, but all I am saying is that India's social construct in a way is highly progressive and any party at the helm can't alter the slow yet stable growth of this country. In my opinion Modi is a decent represantation of our country. People might think otherwise but we must stay open to all opinions.

Their is no provision in the Indian Constitution, where the entire nation can be brought under President's rule, in case of an uncertain verdict. Article 356 can apply only to States, The BJP is the only party which has clocked a 3 digit figure in terms of Parliamentary seats. The Indian National Congress is just behind with 99, but with all odds stacked against it, has put up a creditable fight. The allies will try to extract mileage which shall be disproportionate to the number of seats won.. BJP must send a stern message that 16 and 12 seats respectively cannot give you bargaining strength above your weight. You are up against a numerical value of 240. If the interest of the nation is at his heart, Mr Modi should gracefully step down and allow a fellow BJP leader to don the mantle of the PM.

1. BJP got the same vote % what they got in 2019 (37.36%) v 2024 (36.58%)
2. BJP in 2014 got 31% vote share and 282 seats
3. BJP in UP 2024 Lok sabha got same vote % as they got in UP 2022 Legislative assembly

there is no "genuine" coalition. coalition can't be genuine it comes at the cost of national interest especially in a complex democracy with a federal structure.
