It's still surprising to see a woman like her in a Tourbus, surrounded by 11 guys. She doesn't look like someone who gravitates towards the metal scene. But she is hugely successful, which makes all the difference and motivates her.
@@rolsen1304 Well, metal "credentials" don't matter at all, but it should be said that the type of "black metal" she listened to back then and stuff she listens to nowadays is quite popular amongst non-metal enthusiasts. I don't think she never was into properly riff-orientated metal music. Though, I think that same can be said about other Epica guys except Arien and maybe Rob. I guess.they are more metal enthusiasts. For an example Mark said that he doesn't listen to metal a lot nowadays.
She is a unique character in the metal scene. She has kept her feminine identity while still fronting a very heavy metal band. I have had the pleasure of meeting them several times. But make no mistake, she is in charge on that bus. Believe me

Man she was listening to norwegian black metal back in the late 90's. She's metal to the bone, it's just very pretty bones.
