Dude you have obviously done this many times before. Cutting that metal without gloves makes you a brave man in my book. Last time I cut galvalume without glove I got 6 staples.
Thanks for the video. I am trying to find a whirlybird with a square base like the one you have. Everything seems to have an octagon base can you tell me what manufacturer and model that whirlybird is that you used? Thank you
This product is not a Whirlybird brand turbine. Those units do not use plastic bracing like the one shown in this video. Go to Lomanco.com and check out the vent resources tab. Look for the install sheet for metal roof turbine installation. Color photos, should answer your questions.
Please, Where do you find that model base, all that ones Im finding are not square like the one you have shown in the video? The one you have is EXACTLY what I want! Do you have a part number and or a supplier for it so that I can order one? I live in Texarkana, Arkansas United States and can not find a square base like the one you installed in this video?

You can buy whirlybirds with the square base from here: roys.au/residential-whirlybird-300mm-throat-sky-axis-wind-turbine/
Thanks for the succinct but clear demonstration. I installed 2 whirlybirds in my shed today using your video as a guide. All went well.

Brilliant demo many thanks - simple, to the point, just what we all look for; appreciated!
Thanks for posting this, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to do this right on a metal roof!
No worries, glad we could help :)
Finally! Thanks. The chicken coop desperately needs this but the steel roof was the first hurdle.
Great Video Roy seen them done with the base plate on the underside. OMG what a pain that would have been. Well done thank you.
Thank You for posting this video. Saved me incredible amount of prep time.
No worries, have a great one :)
Thank you. Excellent video
Will it not spin if it’s not level?
Thank you. Excellent practical demo.
Very nice work, quite well done
Thanks .What do you do if where it is going the the ridge cap is not 90 degrees to the way the galv is running ….Cheers
Would sealing the lower edges trap in the condensation that forms and therefore should be left unsealed?
Question!
I can use this method to install a solar fan?
Please help!
Thank you
It should be similar, however we have not installed a solar fan yet. Best to have a look at the instructions that come with the solar fan.

You haven't answered a single question.......
Silicone is not the right sealant for metal.😢
