Was never really a Kobe fan but any time I wanted to get hyped, I'd come watch these highlights. I used to hate on him for copying MJ and I still think it's weird how he even tried to talk and look like him but as someone who grew up idolizing MJ, if you're going to copy someone, copy the greatest. I won't say I became a fan of Kobe after he died but I did develop way more of an appreciation for him. Kobe, Patrice O'Neal and Neil Peart are the only celebrity deaths I have ever cried over. Kobe's was so horrific and such a sobering reminder of how fragile life is. The man could be something like a god on a basketball court but his death was just an awful reminder of how we're all just flesh and blood.
