Is Jesus God? - Debate - Sheikh Ahmed Deedat VS Dr. Anis Shorrosh. This debate took place in Royal Alber Hall in London, England, in July 7, 1985.
Sheikh Ahmed Deedat:
In 1986, the King Faisal Foundation awarded the King Faisal International Prize for SERVICE TO ISLAM, to a South African who is more or better known than many dignitaries in their own countries. This was the first time that this prestigious award has been awarded to a South African. The recipient of this award was a man totally dedicated to his faith and its propagation and who was not afraid to challenge any one to a debate to settle once and for all the matter, who has the good news right? He was none other than Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, reverently known and called UNCLE by those who hold him in high esteem and admiration.
The award came after a lifetime of struggle to propagate Islam and to defend Islam against the onslaught of the missionaries. Finally, he was given recognition by the international Muslim community that he deserved and focused more sharply the attention of the Muslim world on the most important aspect of his work, the challenge to propagate Islam. This was his life long ambition to focus the Muslim world's attention and resources on the propagation of Islam, and at last he succeeded. What a moment of jubilation, achievement and personal gratification for Sheikh Deedat the award was, a turning point in his life.
Sheikh Deedat did not have much formal schooling, but he was self-taught through experience and a penchant for reading, debating, discussion, and a profound sense of commitment to a mission and goal. He was driven and goal oriented. He was focused and never let up until the job was done. He was sharp, perceptive, forthright, fiery, and daring in his challenge of those whom he debated, particularly against those who equal his missionary zeal and sense of audacity. Formal schooling did not destroy his creative prowess, his tenacity, ambition, drive, and sheer daring to swim upstream.
Sheikh Deedat was more a scholar of the Bible than the Qur'an, and was more familiar and adroit with its teachings. He had an insight and perspective of the Bible which made many Christians he came into contact with rethink and re-examine their faith, particularly those aspects of the Bible and the Qur'an that deal with the divine mission and life of Prophet Jesus.
On May 3, 1996, Sheikh Ahmed Deedat suffered a stroke which left him paralyzed from the neck down, and also meant that he could no longer speak or swallow. He was flown to a hospital in Riyadh, where he was taught to communicate through a series of eye-movements. He spent the last nine years of his life in a bed in his home in Verulam, South Africa, encouraging people to engage in da'wah. He continued to receive hundreds of letters of support from around the world. During these years, rumors spread throughout the Internet that he was already dead, and even some websites that contained his pamphlets mentioned as early as 2002 that he was dead.
On August 8, 2005, Ahmed Deedat finally succumbed to his prolonged illness and died at his home in Trevennen Road, Verulam in the province of KwaZulu Natal.

A Question, a very simple one:
If Jesus was a son of God, then he must'v been younger than God, and God the father should be older than Jesus his son, No??

Before Ahmed deedat debate with Anis Shorrosh in 1985 , Ahmed deedat prayed to God to "mute" a liar and whoever is mistaken!

Allah said: 'O Jesus, indeed I will deliver you to the end of your death...'" (Surah 3:55). Isa Al-Masih did not need angels for His revelation. He also does not need anyone's intercession to communicate with God. He has a close relationship with God. Every word He spoke was God's revelation and promises. He is always right in every word and deed. "That is Jesus son of Mary, who spoke the truth..." (Surah 19:34). Therefore every believer needs to follow the teachings of Jesus. "There is none of the People of the Book, except that he will believe in him (Isa) before his death..." (Quran 4: 159 )

There is absolutely no evidence that the Bible has been revised, edited, or tampered with in any systematic manner. The sheer volume of biblical manuscripts makes it simple to recognize any attempts to distort God’s Word. There is no major doctrine of the Bible that is put in doubt as a result of the minor differences that exist between manuscripts.
Now consider the Quran - its author, Muhammad, performed no miracles to back up his message (even when he was asked to by his followers - Sura 17:91-95; 29:47-51). Only in much later tradition (the Hadith) do any alleged miracles even show up and these are all quite fanciful (like Muhammad cutting the moon in half) and have zero reliable testimony to back them up. Further, the Quran makes clear historical errors. Muslims believe the Bible is inspired but with some errors from editing (Sura 2:136 as well as Suras 13, 16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 25). The question they cannot adequately answer is: "When was the Bible corrupted?" If they say before 600 A.D. then how can the Quran admonish believers to read it? If they claim it was after 600 A.D., then they have jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire, for we have absolutely no doubt as to the accuracy of biblical manuscripts from at least the 3rd century forward. Even if Christianity were false, the Quran still has an insurmountable problem because it makes judgments against Christians for believing things that they do not (nor have they ever) believed. For example, the Quran teaches that Christians believe the Trinity is the Father, the Mother (Mary), and the Son (Sura 5:73-75, 116), and the Quran also teaches that Christians believe that God had sex with Mary to have a son (Suras 2:116; 6:100-101; 10:68; 16:57; 19:35; 23:91; 37:149-151; 43:16-19). If the Quran is really from God, then it should at least be able to accurately report what Christians believe.

John reiterates the concept of Jesus’ deity: “The Word [Jesus] was God” and “the Word became flesh” (John 1:1, 14). These verses clearly indicate that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, “Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. And this same verse declares that God purchased His church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!

nabeel muhammad Yes, almost the entire Old Testament was written in Hebrew. But a few chapters in the prophecies of Ezra and Daniel and one verse in Jeremiah were written in Aramaic.
The New Testament, however, was written in Greek. Greek was the language of scholarship during the years of the composition of the New Testament from 50 to 100 AD. The fact is that many Jews could not even read Hebrew anymore, and this disturbed the Jewish leaders a lot! So, around 300 BC a translation of the Old Testament from Hebrew into Greek was undertaken, and it was completed around 200 BC.
The original language documents have not changed. The Dead Sea Scrolls helped prove this. The scrolls testify to the accuracy of the people who copied and recopied the Scriptures over the centuries. Despite minor errors, they show us that the Bible has not changed since the first and second centuries.
About the Qu'ran, the presence of foreign loan-words as well as certain grammatical errors embedded in the text, points to a more mundane point of origin for this book.

Your perception and my perception is human perception, which is limited. However God's perception/wisdom or understanding is unlimited. Man has only five senses, does God have only 5 senses? Absolutely not! So yes in God's realm, yes he can create a circle that has 3 corners, the problem is that our senses won't be able to perceive it. Is God able to do evil? Jesus Himself claimed so, in John 8:24, "...for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." The pronoun "he" is in italics in the King James Bible, meaning it was added by the translators for clarity, and isn't in the Greek. Thus, it literally says, "...for if ye believe not that I AM, ye shall die in your sins." See Exodus 3:14.

I hope you do know that the Ten Commandments(Aseret HaDiberot) are also in the Qur'an. And I hope you also do know that the word Shari'a literally means Law and comes from the root Sharh(Law). Also do you believe that a Prophet can commit Adultery and Idolatry ?
