I tried at Ulta twice, it opens up candied orange like you said but then on drydown it reminds me of pour femme like you said great minds! Great review Soki ♥

Tried this today and the candied orange and vanilla aren’t overbearingly sweet, it’s a good one for fall/winter/early spring. Has a mild Christmas vibe while still being a bit fresh. I like it.

I tried it at the store today, the initial seconds it was very citrusy, but when the sweetness came out it reminded me of lemon muffins! One of my favourite treats! It also reminded me of old scented toys from the 80s...I really love that, so I bought a bottle.

My fave (orange stick) candy treat now in a bottle, I'm loving it. Bought it a few weeks ago along with Q. Devotion lasts a long time whereas Q doesn't. Definitely will be buying a bigger bottle.

Smells like a more expensive and sophisticated version of lush avocado co wash! And warmer. Loved it at first sniff and had to get it 😍 I agree it’s similar to Kilian LDBS and Elie Saab girl of now, with a fresher citrus vibe. A scent that will make you feel happy and a beautiful Christmas scent 😍

The marketing of this had me hooked immediately…a perfume that smells like panettone?! 🤤 I already own Lira tho, which is more like limoncello pound cake…but I can’t wait to smell Devotion.

I randomly sprayed a store tester of this perfume and I was shocked at how much I loved it. I rarely find sweet perfumes that I like, but this was love at first smell. A warm comforting candy, it’s just delicious.
I got this today and I can’t stop smelling it! It’s my new go to. Smells delicious! I got several compliments on it today at work. I will buy this over and over again!

I just picked up a travel size in case this doesn’t work out for me. I’m prone to severe migraines and sadly learned my perfumes were one of the triggers. Recently I’ve discovered that the fruity scents don’t affect me like the floral scents which are an automatic trigger. Excited and hope this works because the scent is amazing. I tried several others at Sephora so I won’t be able to tell until maybe tomorrow because something over there definitely triggered me.
I just received a paper sample in my ulta circular and I am in love with this scent! ❤ I have to try spritzing it on me at the store to make sure I like wearing it before I decide if I want to purchase it or not. My all time favorite d & g perfume is Sicily. I had a sample a long long time ago and is now discontinued. I love vanilla scents!

the dry down was very familiar to me but i couldn’t quite remember what it smelled like to me, and after you compared it to Burberry’s Goddess I yelled YES!! Lol!!! it’s dry down is very very similar to Goddess, smells a bit more creamy than it though!! Great review - this was also a love at first sniff for me!
I really want to try this but I hope it doesn’t pull a play dough undertone - B Goddess is good but it has that undertone on my skin - I found Vanilla potion from TJ Maxx that smells like Goddess after G has dried down on a piece of paper for a while. Oddly Hypnotic Poison did too - frustrating because that cheapens it on me - I pull the weirdest notes, like Tease Creme Cloud, In The Stars, and Kate Spade New York have strong pepper notes to my nose.

I loveee this perfume. To me this perfume smells like Kissing by Kilian. Very sweet, but also very interesting.
Love the smell!!! In my opinion and on my skin it is just too lemony for fall/winter and too creamy for spring/summer. It makes me think of a lemon merengue and a lemon gelato, just don't k ow when I would wear it
it's orange cake in a bottle, which doesn't sound very appealing but the dry down is addictive

I got this in a paper sample. So yesterday I rubbed it all over my shirt and wrist. I liked it. And then my son came home from school and gave him a hug, first thing he said wow you smell good mommy. I love that smell! And so I gave myself another sniff and yes it's so good. I had to look for your review. Thanks Soki! ❤

Lucia, The One for Men EDP is my favorite as well! I really don't connect with most other D&G scents, although I like L'imperatrice in the hot weather. I tried Devotion and it is really pretty but also pretty basic. Lots of other similar fragrances out there. I will say it is stronger than most of theirs so it might last.
Not sure if I will buy this. I'm still hooked on The One & Q which to me, is heavenly although it doesn't last. I'm wondering if this new one has any staying power. 🤔
I have to truly say this one took me by surprise. Originally I was in Sephora looking for a perfume to layer with new sol Janeiro 59 and someone recommend this scent. To my surprise when I initially sprayed it I was like omg this is really citrus 🍊. But the dry down caught me completely by surprise. I said I have to have this. However, I have the scent love don’t be shy and it has that same candy orange blossom scent. This will be next on my list. Unfortunately I don’t think this layer well with the new sol de janerio cheirosa 59 at all. It may layer better with Rio radiance or cheirosa 40 for all my sol de janeiro lovers out there. Yes there is a Killian LDBS vibe but it’s deeper & warmer.
And for me it was much longer wearing even on dry skin!

Soki! but u can still create a Candied! perfume no matter if D&G did this first. U can put ur own twist/ spin or something. U can still make a fragrance with yummy notes.
This one Devotion! uses 🍬Candied Lemon🍋. And for me another mouth watering fragrance is Toy 2 Bubblegum when u 1st spray it that mouth watering note i think is the 🍬Candied Fruits🍉🍇 that is stating it has. But then that rose ruins it. Also another new fragrance (Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar) it has a
🍬Candied Pear🍐. So it seems that most of these fragrances/ brands use and play with candied notes. This one is being compare to Lolitaland! which that one smells like lemon cake so yummy. So to make their perfumes smell like mouth watering u need to play with all those sort of notes. And not too much flowers or ruins it. I also heard another note that is juicy is that (Green Anjou Pears). Theres lot of things to play with. Im still waiting on a candy theme perfume from u soki.

I've made a blind buy :) 100%love.. it s for me the same sensation that a little christmass morning..a cooking moment in family with vanilla, lemon, mandarine.. love this.. long lasting but no *sillage* . Love this really. Signature perfume i think..but maybe more for 20/25 year.. i have 33 :( .. really good

What similar perfumes to it with different top note instead of lemon
I’m having a conflict with this fragrance. I absolutely love the scent. in fact, I had been looking for something like this a while ago. I love it but it does not project. It’s so close to the skin. The first hour maybe, but then it’s just me smelling it. Nobody else can. Unfortunately I returned it because of that. It is not cheap and I expected it to last longer on me. It could just be me of course. Maybe when they launch the intense version if they do. This scent is perfect though. I’m wondering, is it long lasting on you? I am completely blind and I love how you describe everything and I really enjoy your videos. I have actually purchased a few fragrances because of your recommendations.
Go for Arabic brands if you want projection and longevity.

What are arabic fragrances that are sweet and feminine and also original? Devotion is lovely but has no projection and lasts about two hours just as a skin scent
Did you spray it on skin or clothes? I tried it on my skin and it lasted until the next morning. A good 15 hours it took for it to fully go away. The people on the bus could smell it. I only did 2 sprays.
@@Cindybabe99 ! That proves once again that every single pH is different. I sprayed and over sprayed on my skin, I could smell it for a few hours and my husband could smell it for the first 15 minutes. It was pretty much nonexistent for everybody else after the first couple hours unless they were really in my space. I’m glad it lasts and projects on you though. It’s a lovely fragrance.

based on the notes and reviews of how this smells i expected to love it when i tried it at sephora but it smelled nothing like described to me. it smelled like a spicy men’s cologne and I got no citrus or vanilla at all I didn’t hate it but i didn’t like it… I was very confused. the bottle is a a stunner tho

I love this perfume, when I wear it I get a lot of compliments but everyone thinks it's a vanilla scent, that's how this perfume smells on me, it's funny how certain perfumes smell on different people.

This sounds similar to Poison Girl with the orange creamsicle vibe--can anyone compare the two? I have had and liked Poison Girl but it was a touch too powdery for me in the dry down to commit to a full size bottle so I've been buying decants of it here and there. It also sounds a bit similar to Love Don't Be Shy which I can't stand because of the neroli note (I don't get along with neroli at all and orange blossom can be problematic for me, too). Just want to see if it's worth testing or not as I will be buying it blind by sample.

Well, I went to Ulta, smelled it and it was a HARD pass for me. I just can't get on with orange blossom it seems. Smells more like a lightweight designer version of Tom Ford's Soleil Blanc to my nose than Poison Girl. It's also really odd that it's being released in the Northern Hemisphere as we're going into fall/winter because it smells like a typical beach/sunscreen fragrance to me. Would've made much more sense to release it in the summer rather than now, but I'm not gong to be wearing it so it's of little matter to me.
Tried it yesterday, to me smelled like a lemon cheesecake flavored candy. Lasted on my skin until the next day (around 15 hours).
I do love lemon cheesecake... but to me it just lacked some acidity to be fully convinced. Might as well because later on I gave my dad a hug and he told me "WHAT IS THAT???!!!!" He then clarified... "whatever you sprayed on at the mall... it smells like insecticide"

Super dissapointed. Husband bought me 50ml.....it fades almost immediately after applying, no compliments, smell fades shortly after applying

You forgot ti mention the "500 added teaspoons of Synthetic Sugar" this new D&G fragrance has.. Gag! 🤢 That's why I steer clear of most designer scents as they have waaay too much of a sickly sugar(ey) sweet smell.
