      No it can’t, at least for now because we doesn’t have android-humanoid-blade runner-level of robot yet to actually mimic human emotions and looks. I think it could be helpful for a stunt like in 4:04, because using human in that type of stun is very dangerous (remember what happened to Tom Cruise in Fallout) and using a full CGI will look less realistic. A hand to hand combat fight, complex choreographed fight and basic stunts will still be able to be played by stunt like in 2:54 because I don’t think robot could replace such complex movements.

      Also, it will probably become difficult for stunt-people to get insurance, since there will be a safer alternative. Robots mean no OSHA, no liability insurance, no bad press when stunt people die. Eventually, costs for robots will come down and, stunt-people will be squeezed out. Sadly, I think action sequences will suffer as a whole (the way bad CGI stunts make sequences look stupid and unbelievable now), and maybe one day stunt-people will make a comeback - like vinyl...

      Ussishkin Gang, You could say that about any profession, but it's very rare that stunt people get killed. There are about 7 billion people on the planet, and the population is only getting bigger. Making more humans, while simultaneously making them irrelevant is a huge problem. Amazing tech but Bobby’s right, there’s only so far you can go with robots so I don’t think anyone should really fear for their jobs. We shouldn’t view new tech like this as working against humans, we need to see it as helping. At the end of the day, you can’t beat a human actor or stunt actor. There’s a flow of movement robots will never be able to create but that’s okay

    • @cafemochavibe
      @cafemochavibe Год назад +1

      Give it a year. AI is advancing faster than we can keep up with. You can create a whole AI generated cast that look more and more realistic using tools available to the public. The danger we face is that we don't want to admit it is happening and don't want to adapt or adjust.

    • @klaudia6057
      @klaudia6057 Год назад

      @@cafemochavibe Genuinely thank you for commenting because my original comment is two years old and holy heck a lot has happened in the past two years with AI!
      Humans work against themselves. AI didn’t create AI, humans did and if the planet is failing or X/Y/Z is failing, it’s because humans created the problem or accelerated it.
      Having said that, I also think the biggest thing standing between AI and completely taking over everything (world domination, if you will) is humans. Yes the tech can exist but a lot can be said for people pushing back and recognising that while we have that technology, not everything can and should be replaced by it. Like art. If you were an honest person, why would you feel the need to create a picture out of nothing when artists literally make it their job to create such beautiful pieces with such feeling and meaning and story behind it all? Why create an image of you standing in front of the Eiffel Tower? Go and experience it yourself! If AI ever created a film and rendered faces, it would be an animation and we all know animated faces can never portray as much emotion or as good of a performance as real humans can (even Avatar wouldn’t be as impressive because they needed the humans to provide the base of the movements and facial expressions) y’know? Idk if you’ve seen them but there were a few photos entered into a photo competition and the winner actually refused to accept his 1st place prize because the photos he submitted were AI and it was all an experiment to see how far they could go. I remember looking at these photos of these two women of two different generations and thinking it felt very hollow. Those people did not exist, nor did their clothes and not even the chair one was sat on. It was in black and white but there was no real age or history present. You can’t have a real conversation about that because there’s nothing to talk about aside from how the image was created. Tell me if that’s a world you want to live in where everything is like that. No real history, no life, no adventure, no anything. But once again, humans control the robots. If you let them take over, they’ll take over.

      Not really. The programming will took huge amount of time for each stunt . Not only that, the cost of this type of tech will be a hell lot. Maybe it will be used only in highly risked stunts.

      No, this will save a lot of stuntman from having to endanger their lives. These will be used primarily in cases where it is too dangerous for stuntmen.

      Nah. While they can perform stunts perfectly i think it would be costly and pointless for them to perform smaller stunts and action sequences.

    • @AkashYadavOriginal
      @AkashYadavOriginal 5 лет назад +2

      @Morgan Allen One can't risk human lives. These people could be shifted to some other work. And there will always be shots where real human would be required. But more dangerous stunts can be off-loaded to these robots

    • @AkashYadavOriginal
      @AkashYadavOriginal 5 лет назад +1

      @Morgan Allen so you want them to continue to risk their lives?

    • @AkashYadavOriginal
      @AkashYadavOriginal 5 лет назад +1

      @Morgan Allen Stunt acting is extremely risky. The only benefit Stunt actors will get is that they will not risk their lives. There will always be real Stunt actors required in films. And it's not like these robots will replace actors overnight, it will be a gradual process.

      Akash Yadav there will be no stuntmen in the future or the ones that exist will be very low paid. “Retraining someone” massive time/monetary investment on the individual’s part, so midway through a career you start over both in progression and debt.
