Thank you so much for your honesty in your reviews as it makes us trust them 100%!!! At first we thought “wow a great new hotel” when we saw the thumbnail and then said “we’ll never stay there” after your review. $600 a night or more you expect things to be repaired and properly working and better amenities for sure. I love how the Spunky Princess says “mmm” before each answer at the end. She gives us a little pause while she decides to answer or not it seems. Such a cutie!!!! Thanks to OC Girl for filming so well!! ❤
Very interesting to see this review. We have stayed at this Hotel back in 1995 when it was The Marriott Desert Springs, It was for a work convention. It was a nice hotel back then, very large and took over 10 minutes to get to our room from the lobby. I think the rooms look good with the update, but I agree with you still looks the same as it was back in 1995. Thanks Chris

I'm thinking 3 tophers for this place. Too many issues for the price! The AC is critical. I would have left if it was not fixed. VERY complete review. THANKS Chris!
Oh my gosh! We went there for Spring Break from college back in the 90s! I can’t believe they still have the boats. It was an amazing resort back in its day. Now we frequent the Hyatt Indian Wells which is also showing its age…
Thank you for your review! I was thinking of staying here next month, but if the room was warm in December, I don’t want to think about how it will be in August !
Thanks for the video. I live an hour away from this resort and always wanted to stay there because of the lagoon. But the rates was always high. I’ll be keeping away.
Great info, Chris! I have had a drink in that place with my mom, but that was it. We actually stayed at the Shadow Mountain resort (I think that is the name of it), right behind that hotel you stayed at, and we loved it! My mom has a time share, so that is why we stayed there.
Fun facts....the lake that the boats run in is 23 feet deep.....to provide plenty of water for fire department to draw from. The boats are electric like a golf cart and are not on a track....they have to be driven manually. In the heat of summer, the lakes and water features on the property lose 100,000 gallons a day from evaporation.
Too bad you were overlooking the pool? I would have slept with the sliding glass door partially open if it was quiet. I hate hot stuffy rooms. Then just run the fan.
Those glass doors, especially the one for the toilet could be a major safety hazard. Being in an unfamiliar space, in the dark, sleepy/groggy and walking into the glass. Either a bad cut hitting ones head or shattering the safety glass. Not a good idea in my opinion. I've stayed there once and your points are spot on. Time for a remodel. The place is really set up for corporate events, meeting and golf. That is their bread and butter.
I’ve often been kind of curious…does Traveling Princess know exactly WHY her Mom and Dad have these times when Dad is talking into the camera Mom is holding? I’m guessing she’s occasionally seen these? What’s her reaction?
At this point she definitely knows we are making a video.. yes. She watches them after the fact too. Sometimes she binge watches her Spunky Princess channel videos to relive the playground. Sometimes when I'm recording her and put the camera away, she asks me to take it back out again

Thanks for that perspective Colleen! Yeah. I'm sure it was really nice back in 1995

You’re Awfully kind! 3 1/2 stars for poor service? poor staffing? uncomfortable room? Seriously overpriced? I wouldn’t have been quite so generous…
Thanks for that perspective. I could be convinced to go lower.
this is a lovely video . well worth visiting indeed thanks for posting
Thanks Stephen!
Your daughter wanting to just be a part of everything you do is cute 🥰 she adores you

I started to book this hotel just because of the boat ride alone, but I will pass on this. Thank you so much, awesome review
Yeah. We really wanted to ride the boat too. Then found out we couldn't when we planned cause it only ran at night. Lame.
Thank you for sharing, we're thinking about going there for my husband's birthday.

That's a deep lake!
Staying there for Coachella 2023
Enjoy! I bet it costs even more than $600/night then!
Awesome job Chris.😊
Thanks Adam!
Great hotel review! My family and I have stayed here 2 times back in 2013 and it was a great hotel!
Thanks Hotel Productions TV!
I remember staying here while they were filming the show saved by the bell at the Hotel. Good times. Haha
Neat!

You have the best co-host I've ever seen wnd very fashionably on trend😁 , I liked the handheld shower too.
Awww
Bookings and expedia have rates around $285 per night. Their website shows room at the $300-$400 range. Probably depends on when you go.
Oh for sure... highest rates are around February/March
Mikado for dinner is always amazing!!
Finally stayed here. Gonna drop our tour and review soon. Would be an honor if you watched and commented
Sweet. Lemme know once it drops 😀
@@YellowProductions we just dropped!!!
Hi what bldg did you guys stay? Main or springs bldg?
LOOKS LIKE A GREAT PLACE
Hi Chris. How about in the WESTMINSTER orange county?
Marriot Desert Springs Villas. Cheaper price and way better!

Hi Chris. Thanks for the review. It's a nice place but not for $600. Take care.
My wife & I stayed here god the activities pools and food amazing! But don’t get too excited about the rooms really basic sad

You're most welcome
How would you compare this to Shadow Ridge or Enclaves?
Hmm. I haven't stayed at either so I'm no help in that department
Is it just me but i went to the hotle and its so hot super hot and they had a golf comp
Just the basics, big bathroom , separate toilet room. Not so fancy, affordable in WESTMINSTER, or close by in orange county. Thank you
Any other hotels you like in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area?
The weird window is so that one person in the bath can talk to someone in the bedroom.
❤❤
I hope TP's agent has got her SAG union scale rates and bennies 😁
Hah
You think it has an 80s vibe? They filmed an episode of Saved by the Bell there. It was even “worse” back then.
💜💜💜
I have stayed there and yes it's worth it
600 sounds way too much
That “desk” / “dining” table didn’t make any sense!😂
Topher got many emails from this establishment.
OMG love your little girl!!
Thanks Piano Classic!
There shouldn't have been any issues occurred at all for a $600 a night place
Pronouncing the name correctly is probably a good idea. Marriott Mary ott.
I have a whole video about this. But it is indeed actually pronounced like "Marry It" -- most people mispronounce it

Good moral!
Been many times…but NOT worth that price at all.
Just stayed and the downtown Marriott and it was a dump and the worst service I have ever seen
Sorry to hear that!
This place is an absolute DUMP
