I have to admit in the beginning days of this trip I was concerned you had made a big mistake with this trip. It did not feel safe, exciting or clean. But I continued to watch and now want to tell you how much I admire you for this trip. You have shown us a place many will never even consider traveling to and how special it is. Yes, you had some bad moments but you showed us how a traveling family gets through those moments together. You also showed us how to keep our chin up and we will come upon the most special moments. Your children all handle travel well and will hold these memories in their hearts forever. Those of us watching will also hold special memories of this trip in our hearts. I will never doubt you again. So looking forward to the rest of your adventures!!!
Oh, I’m so glad you stuck around! We have hard moments like this on EVERY trip and I felt it wasn’t fair to not show it because it might make people feel like they are doing it wrong or aren’t cut out for travel when they have hard days. The hard days are part of the adventure and really become part of the happy memories too!
Oh no this kind of trip is not for me at all, I probably won't see alot in my life just because I'm a stay in America kind of person. I think I just feel more comfortable in my neck of the woods.
I loved all the different vendors in shops without walls, each selling one kind of product under one roof. That must be nice and social for them, rather than each being isolated in a shop.
I really love how your kiddies are so adaptable and grateful for whatever they eat .. god bless you and your wonderful children . Best family ever xxxx
It was nice watching u meghan doing all d fun activities in the park. We should never forget the child in us because child is the purest form of human. Love you knorpps 😘
Thank you so much for sharing your travels! I have rheumatoid arthritis and have difficulty doing a lot of walking. I feel like I’m seeing the world with you! Keeping you all in my prayers for safe travels! Sending love and hugs!
I'm sure it took great effort to vlog and post, thank you so much for sharing Peru with us all. I'm sure you will never forget the beauty there. : ) peace
Thank you so much for taking us along on your amazing trip. I never knew Peru was so beautiful and now thanks to you I have gotten to visit sights that I would never have been able to see and not only that but have had a small history lesson along the way thanks to you Megan. I have enjoyed it immensely. Thanks again.
If you are still in Peru, alpaca socks are very warm as well as scarves made from alpaca. My guys love using alpaca socks in the winter to keep their feet warm. You might want to consider getting some possibly for Elijah to use when he is in cold territories of Japan. I found black socks from alpaca for my son to use for dress socks. They do have to be hand washed and air dried though.
Another fantastic Peruvian city . It is just amazing how well the children adjust to adventures. They are true traveling warriors. You are blessed. But I did notice a bag in the van blocked out Daniels face. He must be shy. But he does have an awesome 😎 smile and should show it more Much love 💕 to all of you.
I love all your videos, your kids are so nice, obedient, easy to travel with. And that is the product of a good education. And a family who respects all the individuals. Congrats. 👍🤗💝
Bought a tear to my eyes, was lovely seeing you all playing and having fun as a family, memories came flooding back of days of gone for us.But we have a beautiful 5 month old grandson coming to live close by so can’t wait.💕💕💕Happy fun times ahead again.🥰🥰
Hi. What a nice house in Cusco. Very beautiful city with. A beautiful spectacular sky. And the fascinating market and all its products are fresh. The delicious fruit. I loved the video congratulations.
Hello gorgeous ones. Loving those markets....such abundance ...and colours. The airbnb was excellent...Andrew hitting his private tower and courtyard hangout upstairs...lovely !! So great reading the comments from others about their language and culture...and yes I do want some of that special icecream...LUCUMA !!!! I even checked out that fruit on the internet....see what these comments can make one do ? Happy travels....and you are !
You got great airbnbs so far.... would love to go where you guys all went but I’m quite content with going along with guys for the ride atm... always take care...
Great video! So thankful you guys are sharing your experience because most of us will never see beautiful Peru except through your eyes so I'm very thankful for you guys!!!
It’s so nice seeing your Peru videos! I studied abroad in Peru and most of the places that are figured on your blog are places that I was at, brings back really good memories!
God bless you for trying to make each kid happy with which empanadas they got. I often travel alone with my 5 kids, but my anxiety is wayy too bad to try a new country/culture. I'd love to see a video of you guys sharing your tips for safety etc.
Air bnb would be a great option for me. I couldn't handle eating out for most of the meals. The fruit and veggies would be welcome. Safe travels sweet family 💗💗💗
I really like the Airbnb. We have had some bad experiences with hotels and such but also some very wonderful ones. I am glad the you were able to travel back to the nice place instead of being stuck in an awful one. Peru is very beautiful. I had my doubts in the beginning...
Wow those empanadas look exactly like pasties that are traditional where I live in South West England! Originally they were made with the pastry twist (called a crimp) on the edge so you could eat them with dirty hands and then throw away the dirty part. I wonder if there's a similar story here? Love seeing how similar our cultures can be 😊
Aji de gallina (bread, onion, chicken, yellow spicy pepper, milk all blended together) with white rice is my favorite, but had to lol when I saw it as an empanada option.
👍 👍 Anything else before Incas is Calle Pre-Incas. The list of back-in-time people is as far as 15,000 years old as Huaca Prieta. The Civilization as we know is 5,000 years old as Caral in the Coast. Also Chavin back 3,200 years old, Moche (also called Mochica 2,000 years old), Chimu , Nazca, Chachapoyas, Chancas, Huancas, Pachacamac, Palpas, Chiribaya, etc
cusco is such a great place to invest right now. Tourism is booming and so much construction. It is sad, however, that the native will be pushed out in 20 yrs.
Have y’all tried any of the popular dishes of Peru? Aroz con pollo, papas a la huancaina, ceviche, Crema Volteada (Peruvian flan), Lomo Saltado... I’m not seeing y’all have the best food of Peru. Mike tried the Cuy ( Guinea pig) but it wasn’t cooked good. I have a ton of friends from Peru and dated a Peruvian off and on for 6 years. Peru has really delicious food. Your kids would like aroz con pollo ( chicken and rice dish) and papas al a huancaina.
We have tried and loved everything you listed except for ceviche. The stakes were a little high and no one wanted to risk getting sick. I kind of regret not trying that though!
👍 in Peru 🇵🇪 there is a unique fruit hard to find somewhere in the World. It cannot be eaten directly (as an apple), so it can only be eaten as an ingredient of something else. It can be part of a Juice (from a Blender) or as part of an Ice-cream. Name is LUCUMA and Its flavour is very appealing for children. You may eat in "Heladeria Artesanal" where is sold "helados artesanales" (artisan ice cream). At supermarket you can buy a 1 liter of LUCUMA ice-cream DONOFRIO (ice cream industry brand)
Mike and Meagan thank you so much for sharing your edventure with us, it looks like your all having a great time as always safe travels and God bless love ya nancy
I just 100 tell then U all I have enjoyed sing all the interesting places you have then a is really cool the one you're just leaving in Peru that 1 was really cool I hope this next one is as interesting As true God-bless you all And stay safe
A Peruvian cab driver told me about all of the different potatoes in Peru. So cool to see them! He said that the different colors are from the color of the volcanic dirt in which they grow. The blue ones grow in a sort of blue sand. He said there are a lot fo different colors, especially red, orange, and yellow.
Oh wow, I would have no self control in that market....I love buying food 🥰 As much as I love these videos from Peru, I’m glad it’s time for you to come home, just not sure about travel safety and exposure to this Coronavirus 😕 Not sure of the dates, you just said Sunday so not sure if you flew home last Sunday or will this next Sunday but be safe and very vigilant in washing hands and the exposures you may face ! Prayers for safety !
In Utrecht on a street that has been a shopping street since the 13th century, there is a shop with a sign above the door, that says, in Dutch, Potato Shop. The shop now has a different business there. I wondered about a shop that sold just potatoes and now I have seen one in your video.
It’s so hard but since you can’t drink the water you have to be REALLY careful with fresh fruits and vegetables. We did buy some but in small quantities because we have to wash it thoroughly with filtered or boiled water.
@@KnorppandSouth11 ooohh, that makes sense. When I traveled to Italy I forgot and rinsed my mouth while brushing with the tap water. It caught up to me while we were along the beach, down a cliff, about 30 min from a bathroom. 😳
Peru looks amazing! I would live to do this. The best way to learn a new language is to be totally immersed in it and it is great exposure into another culture (which I'm sure is one of your goals in traveling). As a kid, I was sent to Mexico every year in the summer to learn Spanish and, as a college student, I spent time in Italy learning Italian. I speak like a 5 year old in Italian but I can get my point across haha. And just so you know, the man selling the empanadas said they would take quince or 15 minutes. Thirty minutes is treinta. Twenty is veinte, which is similar to "venti" (Italian for 20) which is one of the sizes used Starbucks (aka 20 oz).
Empanyadas lol..hilarious. everytime u say it Mike I am crackin up. I think the name should be changed to Empanyadas lol. I would lke to order a dozen of each. Scrimptious and Heavenly!!! Love these kids that eat everything they are given and don't complain.
Gorgeous BNB .. so much room for your large family. The market was amazing. When Megan mentioned "Gouda" in the cheese area.. I'm thinking loudly.. YESSSSSS !!!. I'm dutch, and would have been clogging if I saw that in an Peruvian market place. At least I would have been able to eat something along with rice, beans, veggies and fruits.. hahaha So nice that there was a park close by to wear off some steam.. Loved the mattresses under the monkey bars. Imagine them after a day of rain.. hahaha.. Great video.. thanks for sharing. 💟 P.s. Did you get all your clothes back from the laundromat?.. Ha

Oh, so nice!
Can you link the award here please? I would love to vote too
Me too x
Best family ever on you tube x🥰🥰
Mike is always so calm, cool, and collected! Those roads alone would have me a stressed out mess.

J Blink America is a huge and beautiful country, so just by seeing that you will see a lot 😊
Could you guys do an updated post trip packing guide like what you actually used, wish you brought, and what you wish you brought instead
Yes! We need to because we learned a lot!
Look at Pearl go on those bars! Well done Pearl!
Thank you all for putting peace in my heart. 💜

10:00 You're correct Mantequilla is Butter. Apple is Manzana though and Manzanilla is chamomile.

The veggies all looked so good also the cheese too .....plus the highlight was Megan on the monkey bars and slide awesome ❤️❤️❤️
Loved the markets, the veggies and cheeses😊
Im a foodie so I love it when you show the market and meal options and finally your choices. 🥡🥢

Knorpp and South Thank you for this trip!

Greetings from Dali, China!!! You guys are awesome!!! Love all the adventures!!!
Here is a new insight. Thanks soooo much.
The time in the park was lovely
I’m curious, why Peru? It’s an amazing place. You have the best behaved children! Have fun!
Good morning Knorp family.. loves from Malaysia.
Really enjoyed 😁👍
"Manzanilla" is a type of flower, like a mini daisy sooo good for tea. 😜 "Manzana" is apple!🍎
Wish you could stay in Peru and keep taking those beautiful videos!
Awsome video thanks for sharing 👍
Another brilliant family Vidieo
Did the empanada guy say “quince minutos”? If he did that’s, 15 minutes. Lol.
Lol yes he did🤭
Look at those empanadas. Oh, yum.
Was the service all in Spanish? Thanks for the vlogs! I just got back from California, so catching up :D
Awesome
Just fantastic 😉
Yeah, I just checked and there is a new video!
I think any place you are trying to find lodging can be a risk unless you have seen it before.
How did it feel to go up the third floor each time at high altitudes? Recommended for an 80 year old?
That airbnb looks like they rent out just the rooms also.
Love that shade of lipstick what shade/ Brand ? Color makes me feel cheerful.
Good spanish!!! Manzanilla is chamomile and manzana is apple ;)
Manteca is lard and mantequilla butter... so confusing;)
Oh man! I was still wrong! I love Spanish so thanks for correcting me!
Haha you did great!
And “quince minutos” - is 15 minutes- But A+ for effort and smiling your way through Peru!!

Are the Airbnb reasonaly priced
May I ask how much this current Air BNB is? I’m just curious how the prices compare.
And I have just say I've never used a air BNB And all the ones that are saying You are use are beautiful and other people the law follow when they Use them they're beautiful so if I ever get a chance to travel I will have to try it and see if I get One as nice as what you have had
Singapore love you all ....
What was that loud speaker noise playing in the background at the start of the video???
There were dance lessons going on just around the corner from the cheese aisle!
What's the weather like?
