How would more people going to the gym make the average bench press go down? Lol. The average person does not go to the gym anyway and most of them who do, don't work hard. Older generations were more physically active in general regardless of the gym and they didn't eat as much or as unhealthy as people today. Plus testosterone was higher on average back then because they ate better, they weren't poisoned by shit in the food, water and air or having a bunch of drugs pushed on them, and they got more sunlight.
@@McCarthy1776Before 1950 most would have grown up in an environment where daily physical activity came with daily living. A lot of people going to the gym today is just to maintain a basic physical capacity while in the 1950s it was more for a purpose of being stronger or having more distinct muscular growth so they would lift harder? But the average would perhaps not change that much if still testing the same type range of people (as people going into military service, which used to be mandatory).
On average boys/ men are getting weaker. May look fitter but not up for a hard days work. Here in Australia you can see it just in trades, everyone i talk to struggle to find workers and apprentices for anything thats a hands on trade.
On a fitness level gen z is polarized. Conservative zoomers have incorporated fitness into their pop culture and are obsessed with fitness which I think is healthy and reassuring, but the other half support the body positivity movement and think fitness is toxic and become fat slobs. But you're right about mental toughness, I've worked with a lot of zoomers and I'm a millenial and the even the difference between millenials and zoomers is NIGHT AND DAY. They are soft, weak and lazy.
Even if you didn't NEED to shower everyday, which is bullshit, but let's say you didn't then that just means you're incredibly lazy if you go all day without breaking a sweat and you have an incredibly easy job even a tough office job will make you sweat from stress. I mean if you're being literal nobody technically NEEDs to shower but you're gonna smell like ass if you dont.
I don't think it's that black and white though like the "red pillers" make it out to be. In principle I agree with most of the "red pill" "manosphere" ideas but they have unhealthy exaggerated understandings of things. I believe a woman can be a traditional wife and mother while also having a career. It happens all the time, plus in the reality of our trash economy it's often necessary for both parents to work. My mother owned a business and ran it very well, was very successful while she also raised me, kept the house clean and organized, and cooked for me and my step dad. Most people in general won't be that high performing but it's possible for the average woman to do both to a certain degree. Being a wife and mother should come first but if you can do both then why the fuck not? I don't agree with the idea that women are dumb and mentally weak. They have different strengths and weaknesses than men. They can bring value to a business, their motherly instincts can actually benefit a business so long as they are kept in check with masculinity from men in the business, yin and yang. Today we see a lot of toxicity from female DOMINATED fields combined with toxic ideologies. If it's all women then people will often be too coddled but women tend to be better with organization, they make great secretaries there's all kinds of inherent traits that women have that make them useful in business. It's not that men or women are better with business, they bring different things to the table. Generally men do better as the leaders but there are some women who make great leaders and plenty of men who are trash leaders. General trends exist but they aren't the end all be all when you zoom in on specific circumstances.
I'm always the one pushing back against people saying women could do great in the Army infantry and MMA and they are just as tough as men in that aspect. Because generally women have to work 5 times harder to get half the fitness results as men and the women who can keep up with the men tend to be butch masculine women. But when I started at the fire academy, after having spent my whole life in the gym and serving in the Army and working blue collar jobs as well, I didn't think the 2 women in the class would be able to keep up. I honestly didn't think women should be in the fire department at all. But one of these girls, as feminine as they come, super sweet, child like high pitched voice, she was SMOKING 90% of the men in PT, and these were all well above average men physically. It became a whole running joke in PT every morning "we'll keep going until Miss Pac gets tired' and by the end mostly all the men were dying and she's over there looking fine yelling trying to pep talk us yelling in here high pitched feminine voice. It was almost comical, it was unreal. But my point is. The world isn't black and white. I believe in traditional culture and building society based on general trends, but I'm not against making exceptions for anomalies.
You'd have to be delusional if you think men havent been getting softer with every generation since WW2. Now the WW1 and WW2 generations were harder than those who grew up in the roaring 20s right in that gap between the 2 wars. But other than that its been a general decline. You could argue that millenials have a struggled more than boomers because they grew up in easy times but in other ways they were raised harder than millenials. But Gen Z is hands down the softest and most hedonistic generation in American history. And the boomers are hands down softer than their parents and grandparents, no doubt about it.
It really is alarming, especially the mental weakness the small jaw lines and the isolation. This is what happens when women feel bad for kids not winning a trophy and failing like adversity is such a bad thing, even though it's part of the human experience and of course builds character. I'm just glad to not be the "3 out of 4" (Obama), or, nowadays, 4 out of 5 boys with issues coming out of single mother households
This one isn’t complicated. The biggest difference between our generation and our grandparents and great grandparents, is they understood that bad things happened in life. They accepted the fact that someone could die in war or die from an illness at a young age. Today, we can’t deal with that. Mark also hit it on the head early in the podcast when he said that the goal might be to destroy the families. That is the primary goal of the feminist movement; to take women out of the home.
@@garyledoux4871 more like it's to take the strong virtuous man out of the household. These women want to be men so badly that they will adopt all of the attributes that they hate of certain men and basically become the men they want to marry and they wonder why no man wants them
