Been watching a couple of pickups and scrimmages for the ECS Squad .. Good overall team but they lack in positioning and ball movement and any kind of set plays.. I mean its all good in the Park and stuff, but if you want to move up in competition, you have to change that style of play.. Big fan of the content.

Chris would set a super lazy screen, then just stand there. He's not really moving off the screen to get a pass. You expect the biggest guy on the court to pick, then roll, not set a pick then stand still, then move to the left 2 feet ready to shoot a 3.

Thas cap and you know it. Chris and Duke are very good players and I would argue 100% Duke is better. Duke defended himself well, his back was against the pick/pop Chris when he had an open lane to run to. Especially as a big, even if you can shoot, use your body and go in the paint.

I wasn't the biggest fan of Chris initially but he does a lot of the teams dirty work and barely gets the ball. Sometimes you gotta give your big a jumper, as long as he's not falling in love with it.

Chris and Duke were both right.. Chris was frustrated because duke didn't give him the ball for the pick and pop several times.. So that last situation was the final straw. I'm glad Chris addressed it because that was a simple chemistry issue.. Chris is a pick and popper and Duke envisions him as a traditional roller. Now that they spoke about it going foward duke will instinctively look for Chris at the three point line and if Chris sees duke stuck in a situation like that he won't get discouraged and instead immediately think, "cut".. But when he does roll duke needs to reward him.... That's why getting time in the lab with your team is important. Good stuff guys

After listening to Dukes and Chris argument, Duke points out a weakness from the whole team. Almost every time on offense when the ball handler gets doubled, no one on the team ever cuts to the basket. Or rolling from a pick. They all sit on the perimeter. I agree with Duke in that instance, the angle he was at couldn’t even make that perimeter pass to Chris

Basketball wise and also chemistry wise the golden teeth guy with the dreads is a way better fit than chris white. Hope he will be his substitute: knows his roll, plays hard, actually rolls to the rim and is not complaining all the time. Might look a bit undersized but has a long wingspan and a hell of a athlete. Fits the uptempo style of east cost squad way better.

Love to see the improvement. As time goes on i expect these runs on your own to become way more like practice over time. With more in game situations being implemented and simple screen plays as well as a more thought out defensive/zone plays. Only episode 3, but i can already see this team turning out to be something more special than what you guys already have.

Watching the play that lead to Chris and Duke arguing, in that instance in particular Chris was right. The way the defenders were positioned the passing lane to the paint was covered. Duke should’ve swung the ball to Chris at the 3. There were several other times though where Chris needed to roll his ass to the paint and he lazy set a screen and stayed at the 3pt line. Chris is deadly in the paint and he needs to take advantage of it. This is organized basketball and he needs to realize the role they need him to play. He can take the occasional 3, but set your screens and get up your ass to the paint. You don’t need 5 shooters.

The point duke is making is that chris gotta learn to play the role that fits the team best at the moment, not what he feels like doing. Duke drew both defenders out to the corner of the key, he wanted chris to cut to the basket for an easy dime/lay. Chris wanted to shoot a three. With matt not at the scrimmage, chris the biggest player on the team in this scrimmage, so why is he not cutting to the basket and playing big man? They playing in a league tryna be taken more serious, they gon have to adapt their game, which comes with playing your role and knowing when/what to switch focus on depending the overall team dynamic.
I’d be taking massive pointers from Austin and Zack. Zack played at Florida and Austin played semi pro. Definitely be listening to them

Whether Crs rolls or takes the open 3 is debatable considering where they were doubling Duke. But I will say that wasn't the first time Crs has been wide open at the 3 point line so I get his frustration. I also understand Duke's frustration. Bottom line, with a team like this, every team member needs to have confidence in their other teammates ability to score or create opportunities for others to score. Without that, you fall apart. Love the video and solid competitive runs!

Malcolm is a good screen and roll guard. great pace, and can play good basketball with or without the screen. A lot of these guys are "highlight" reels and this is giving them an opportunity to polish some flaws. Some could potentially play at a higher level frfr.
