It was an honor to meet Pastor Jeff this past Tuesday at the Oklahoma State Capitol, and I am so thankful for Apologias ministry. God has used this ministry to further break my heart and equip me to rescue those from the slaughter in Oklahoma. I pray that SB13 passes.
I love that Apologia church is friendly to answers in Genesis, and AIG has great books showing why evolution is not real science like "Glass house: shattering the myth of evolution" and "replacing Darwin made simple."

That's actually more of a burden on the Christian than you may realize. If Yahweh exists and he wants us to spread his message by human messengers, I would expect him to enable the human messengers to be able to communicate at a level the listener can understand. After all, the whole Bible and Jesus himself are supposedly examples of Yahweh condescending to man, and not the man ascending to Yahweh.

Are you high? I never heard any logic and reason coming from Jeff Durbin. All I heard is presuppositional apologetics. Science works regardless of philosophical world view. We see through practical experience that science via the scientific method is the best tool humans have to understand the world around us. It's not our fault that most of you YEC believe dinosaurs were on the ark, humans are only like 6000 years old, and that the earth is only 10,000 years old...which contradicts science worldwide.

Just because the other staff PhDs with degrees in actual relevant fields work for AIG, doesn't mean they still adhere to scientific reasoning. AIG requires you to sign a statement of faith upon employment which includes this gem "By definition, no apparent, perceived or claimed evidence in any field, including history and chronology, can be valid if it contradicts the scriptural record. Of primary importance is the fact that evidence is always subject to interpretation by fallible people who do not possess all information.". Any scientist worthy of their degree would NEVER sign such a preposterous statement.
Proper scientists, atheists or not, do not have presuppositions; pseudo science is what these "creation" scientists bring to the table in a failed effort to legitimize using the Bible as some sort of authority on anything.

This is probably the MOST epic creation debate I’ve ever watched. From you or anyone. You took them on a complete adventure through truth logic and reason while also showing them the beauty of the gospel but also exposed their contractions and how ridiculous their foundation in 15 minutes. Pat Pawlowski While I disagree that he uses straw man arguments, I do think he should be less controlling. I think it’s a tactic of the presuppositional approach.
Jeff is showing incredible patience and Mercy in this video. He's standing before two individuals who hate God and love death and are seeking to allow the slaughter of children, and even so Jeff pleads for their soul. I've never seen greater respect or love for another person than what Jeff displayed here. Praise God for Jeff, and all Glory to God.

Jeff did cut him off quite alot, Would've been nice to have a nice long dialog, In the end i think jeff could've really put a big meaning in his heart, I think the guy was starting to listen abit.

As a humanist, you believe that every human being is to be treated with dignity, that people’s rights not be trampled upon, that we not oppress people, that we share our goods and our power with others and not exploit them. But how do we prove that? Not only is this a set of beliefs, but those beliefs take more faith to believe.
If you are a Hindu, you believe that the world is such that you will get off the cycle of reincarnation and go into eternal bliss if you live a good life but, if you don’t live a good life, you keep getting reincarnated. If you believe the bible, like an Orthodox Jew or a Christian believer, you believe that God made the world, a loving God made the world and you should love your neighbor so that you’re like God, you can know him and be saved. In other words, to live a good life of humanistic values fits in with the Hindu view of what the universe is like and it fits in with the Christian view or Jewish view of what the universe is like.
What is the secular view of the world? It’s called a materialist view which says there is no supernatural. There’s only natural. There’s no soul, there’s no heaven, it’s just everything has a natural cause. To illustrate the problem with that, or the amount of faith it takes that humanistic values with that view of the world, this is from a letter to the NY Times.

Now, the word, SO, most of us think the word SO means “this logically leads to that”. Most think that the word, SO, takes whatever comes before the word, SO, and logically leads us to what come after it. You’re not here for any purpose, no one put you here, you came up through evolution, red and tooth and claw (the strong eating the weak). You are only here because our ancestors killed weaker organisms and, eventually in the end, you are going to die, the sun is going to die and civilization is going to die. Whether you were a genocidal maniac, an altruist or philanthropist will make no difference in the end and since nothing we do now will matter, therefore, the writer says to love one another.
Here’s the question: If that’s the case of the nature of the universe, why should I love other people? If my ancestors got here by destroying and eating the weaker organisms, why should I now suddenly become unselfish. The answer to that questions is this. If you want to believe in humanistic values-it doesn’t follow from your view of the universe at all. It’s an unbelievably HUGE LEAP OF FAITH. It doesn’t take huge faith to go from the Hindu view of the universe to humanistic values, or from the Christian view of the universe to go to humanistic values but it does from a materialistic, secular view to humanistic values.
Friedrich Nietzsche wrote, “If you say I’m an atheist, and then you say but we should not starve the poor and we should honor their equal rights, you’re still a Christian, whether you admit it or not because those ideas came historically into the Western society when people believed in the Christian understanding of the universe-that you’re here for a purpose and you’re made by a loving God and you’re made in the image of God and all human beings are children of God. Those values made sense when we believed the Christian view of the universe but we don’t believe that anymore and therefore, if you hold onto those values, you are actually being a Christian and a very, very inconsistent person, though you won’t admit it.”

I believe that the gentleman probably never knew (or he forgot) why he became atheist in the first place. He also was probably blown away by Pastor Jeff's references to Bertrand Russell and also couldn't respond (in-kind) to reason and logic in his own world view.

This “pastor” isn’t making sense but also didn’t pick the best person to debate. A “belief” in gravity is not the same thing as a “belief” in a god.

It kind of is, i.e. it’s a word we use to explain effects we see in reality. The main difference is that the idea of gravity can provide accurate predictions, but the belief in God does not, i.e. prayers not being answered, the problem of Evil etc. Calling it belief or faith or science or magic doesn’t make a difference to the results and evidence.

The issue isn't that it's difficult to defeat the arguments of atheists. If you know scripture, know something about logic and philosophy, and know something about how to build an argument in a debate, any mentally equipped Christian can crush atheist arguments. The issue is that they don't see it. They are blindly religious. This is true of all of us until God brings revelation into our hearts. This is why prayer is paramount. Love for them is paramount. Jeff and his allies demonstrate this love beautifully, while not giving an inch in the debate.
Show me the laws of logic so I can see them, have them jump on the table and sing in this microphone.
