I’m 57 years old & have always loved listening to Tom Jones sing Green Green Grass of Home. I don’t know where it comes from, but I think it’s one of the single best male singing performances ever.
I'm 74 and I was 16 when this first came out there is a tale to this I fell in love with an Irish lad here in coventry puppy love he had to go home to Ireland for family problems he asked me to go with him of cause as I'm older I realise it was stupid I married have children grandchildren etc but I've never forgot him it a well known fact my adult kids know I still love him lol ❤
I am a 65 year old Canadian woman, and this song takes me back to 1967. My father would take me out for dinner (daddy date once a month.) My dad loved Tom. So it brings a tear when I watch him in 2022.
My mom made me and my sisters go to bed EARLY when his weekly show came on lol. My day would grin and go to bed also cause he knew he was getting lucky that night!

There are RUclips videos of Tom singing this song from the 60s up to 2013 - and in every video, Tom's voice is EXACTLY the same. I'm really amazed that it hasn't changed as he's gotten older.
