Always great content. Keep it up. Might I make a suggestion? Maybe create a "DIY By Request" video theme, I'm quite confident there is ton of folks interested in seeing a specific bait diy and you're quite well versed in how to make it work...
I think that is one of your easiest to duplicate and one of the best lures you have made in a long list of great lures. Keep up the great work. Just a suggestion try crome painting one. Can't hurt to try.
@Engineered Angler Lures I too have been contemplating a different material for the blade. For some reason, I'm intimidated about cutting metal. I don't have access to a band saw...maybe Thad why 🤔. Do you suppose a jig saw with an appropriate blade would suffice? I saw your video using old CDs and a through wire. Do you think the blade material has a large impact on the vibration?...I'm still trying to wrap my head around the physics behind this lures action.
The shape and size are the more influential parts of the design for the action. You can make it out of any flat material that can handle the stresses and can be made to hold the low ballast weight. Good luck
Hey I know this is years late. But I found a huge blade my late dad made years ago for dropping in 100m of water. Due to the weight, and despite a thicker piece of aluminum. It must have been a prototype because there is a 2nd smaller one made from stainless. The aluminum one had clear damage to the tow points from the clip. Any suggestions (or videos) on how to reinforce a tow point? I was thinking a pop rivet, but can only find them in aluminum locally. I can't weld or anything like that 😅.
How long do you think the tow point holes and hook hanger holes will last? I think the stainless steel of the clip and split rings will make short work of the aluminium. Great design though, and the lure looks the part!
Well we need to remember it's the galvanic system we need to consider not just parts. Since we have a hook in the system I'm pretty sure the hook will end up being the sacrificial part. But while it is true that combining Stainless with Aluminum is not a great idea, consider that every aluminum bimini top has stainless bolts...in my experience that means the aluminum will last 10 years instead of ...?who knows.
Thank you, I started to follow on Instagram too 🤟🏽, you can take a look. Your videos are really helpful for me and inspiration, thank you so much, keep going 👏🏼
Wow!! Nice job on the blade bait. Amazing how much action it has too. 👍👍
Awesome. You made a perfect template to make more of blade baits or carving some shape into it and come up with a crank bait.
Great video! Would be cool to see the underwater video from each of the four line tie holes🙂
I was thinking the same thing. I was curious how each hole affected the action and depth.
I’m very impressed. Can’t wait to see what material you’ll use for the next one. Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!

Thank you very much,,I think trailing end could be a bit longer
Definitely going to try making a few of those. Bluefish season is fast approaching! Thank you for the great video (as always!).
Glad you like them! Good luck with the Blues...
It was a quick answer on my question. Thanks. Great idea with balls.
No worries!
You're the best..….Always informative!
Cool lure
Hi there, this lure is awesome with a wonderful action. Congrats for the design and footage...take care
Thank you very much!

You can get stainless rivets.. that's where I would start

I was thinking you could press split shot into the hole using a vice jaw block with dimples on each side. Great video.
Good stuff!
Thanks
Great job, I was trying today one of my lures and is not swimming good , but I did the modification to do another one 🤟🏽
Good luck!

What did you need to modify?
Instead of painting try heat transfer prism foil.
I think this would look fantastic. I loathe painting lol, so this would be my approach
