It's true, namjo is a grand,he is the best for change of every music.👍👍👍👍
"Yarom Bia" actually means "come to me my lover!".
In this recreation though, they have used "lover" as a metaphor for Persian art which is under attack and censorship these days in Iran (Thus the weird imagery), they have also used scenes from this movie which is about the life of an Armenian artist (who coincidentally also knew and used to write in Persian) in the Soviet Union ... an excellent choice given the similarities of the situations.
I watched "The Color of Pomegranates" recently, and it was visually astonishing! It's a poetic art film about the life of Sayat-Nova, an Armenian poet and musician whose poems are in Armenian, Georgian, Azerbaijani, and Persian.

Funny story, this morning I was on insta and viewed the story of an expat iranian actress. It was an aesthetic video of her applying lip gloss to this tune which I HADNT YET HEARD OF. It was a very brief section of the chorus and I was drawn to the vibe, yet dismissed it as too 'boring' for my taste.
Several hours later I visit RUclips and come across this video. WOW! Its the same song I coincidentally heard a snippet of, the same day. Its very catchy and I like the slurred vocal style. Fun visuals too.
I checked out some other tracks by this band and was not disappointed.

Kiosk is such an interesting band. And very political. One of the best bands which picture the situation and life under the Islamic regime
The video and the way they rearranged this folk song kind of reminds me of The Wall song and video by Pink Floyd

I think Mohsen Namjoo acting very strange... Think he's trying to stick out by being different, but it's just gonna get weird...
Seems like he often ruins songs by trying to be odd...
the fact that you say that means that you haven't understood Namjoo and his music. nothing about him and his music is weird if you actually even understand the words. he elevated this song, not ruining it!!
