I just saw a video of this ship getting attacked by pirates. They went in by foot, jumped up and gave a single shotgun headshot from behind to the player and captured the ship
@@B00MSPL4T really now? Are folks mostly on that one moon that had the Dev made city on it (can't remember the name of the moon)? I fired the game up for the first time in eons but there was nobody around the starting station (not surprised).
@@EvilAnomaly - I wouldn't say the population is bustling exactly, but it's certainly on the rise since the last Starbase announcement. There are several groups known for camping the Elysium moon city, as well as the gate!
nice design is mining steering more and more towards moons or asteroids are still viable given the new features to be added so it doesnt take hours on end to get anywhere in belts?? just wondering.... played during the start but stopped for a while until game gets a bit better since devs picked up work again
There is a pretty even split. Mining asteroids can be more efficient, but requires constant player input. Moon mining is less efficient, but once you're at location and set up, it only takes a few button presses and then the ship takes over
How is this game loop supposed to be done: you build a station at a moon and mine your safezone deeper and deeper or do you just mine somewhere and pray that pirates won't find you? Also about your comment on minimum forward speed, have you tried counter-thrusting? You could have another Fcu flipped around and have a global multiplier for the counter thrust. I only tried it for rotations, which kinda works okay. Excellent marketing videos of your ship designs, btw.
I would recommend mining in your safezone until you get a return on your investment, then once you've covered your costs take a trip to a crater for the more concentrated rare ores. Some prefer not to take the risk, and use multiple ships in safezones to mine, but each to their own :) The "Auto-Crawl" already uses a dedicated FCU, utilizing counter-thrusting to achieve the lowest minimum speed possible while simultaneously breaking the "space goo".
We going bankrupt with this one boys

😆
It certainly happens! Especially now that the population is starting to come back xD

Can't wait to get my hands on the new version!

You can buy the BP for it from the USB discord: discord.gg/QYRWQmgrqz
is there a way to test ships on a moon in ship design?
Sadly not, no
