It was an honor voicing Oryx for this project. It's been amazing hearing what the other voice actors can do, see the art Metaworks has come up with, seeing the phenomenal animation from the 3D team, the effects and music from the audio team, and of course, you Byf, for bringing us all together. I might be making lots of jokes in live chat right now, but in meatspace, I'm crying with joy. It's truly been a pleasure.
You did an amazing job! Tho I was saddened that I wasn’t chosen to voice someone (I sound the most like Oryx or one of the worm gods) I am glad that someone with a good voice like you was chosen! Good job!
For a hundred years of local time the siblings fought the Vex. When the Vex came into the sword world, they were inevitably annihilated, but when the Hive went into the Vex world, they lost too much of their power to win. “Father’s going to eat our souls,” Halak sighed. ~Books of Sorrow XXXIX: Verse 4:9
Just wanted to say a huge thank you on behalf of the destiny community to Byf and the whole team, for all the blood, sweat and tears that has gone into this insane project. Honestly the quality and scale of production here is amazing and some of the visuals are better than what we get in the game itself. It really feels like a passion project. God bless
now with Witch Queen out, we know some extra details here: 1. Rhulk was sent to Fundament by the Witness long before the beginning of this story. He fought and wounded the Leviathan, taking one of its ribs as a trophy, subjugated the Worm Gods to the Witness' will, and took their mother as collateral. 2. The Osmium King's familiar didn't just wash up by chance. Rhulk put it there for the Krill to find. 3. The whispers from the familiar were actually the Witness talking to the Osmium King and Sathona. 4. There was no god-wave. That was just some BS the Witness made up to scare the siblings into seeking the deep. 5. The Leviathan told the truth. The Traveller was on its way to Fundament. If the siblings turned back when they had the chance, the Traveller would have uplifted the Krill with the Light. 6. When Oryx communed with the Deep, it was most likely the Witness who spoke back to him and even granted him his Taken powers. 7. Assuming that Savathun was telling the truth, Oryx's power of taking was a similar but incomplete version of something the Witness can do. 8. Savathun, like Oryx, had doubts about the Hive's connection to the Darkness. For centuries, she had been trying to break the pact with the Worms and escape it. 9. If her worm was telling the truth, Savathun saved the Traveller during the Collapse, fooling the Witness into believing it had been destroyed. When the Traveller awakened and killed Dominus Ghaul, the Witness noticed and realised it had been tricked.
the witness most likely wasn't the one speaking to Oryx- in Unveiling, a lore book written directly by the Winnower, the truest form of the Darkness, it says "my man Oryx' and also mainly speaks of one person, using words like I, me, or my, while the witness and pyramid fleet speak in plural words, like we, us, ours.
Oryx took his ability to take from Akka. If Savathun is to be trusted and tye Witness also has this ability, it makes sense that Oryx's ability to take is an incomplete version of the Witness's.
@@Cayde-6sHorn he didn't take the ability to Take from Akka, he took the secret to commune with the Darkness, and enshrined them on the tablets of ruin
So nobody’s gonna acknowledge that Byf canonically lives at the Iron Temple? It suits him pretty well. Personally I like to imagine my Hunter chilling at the Cosmodrome in the King’s Watch control center.
1:13:25 I love the siblings' reaction to the Vex forcing their way into Oryx's throne world. It's like the Hive equivalent of a kid throwing a baseball through the window and saying "Aw man Dad's gonna kill us when he gets home"
Being able to contribute my voice to Yul was incredible. I'm blown away with the sheer level of talent that's come together to make this happen, and I'm humbled and honored to have been a part of this. From 3D animation to MoCap, to the audio team and all of my fellow VA's, this has all culminated into something wonderful. Thank you all for everything. Thank you Byf, for believing in me and trusting me with bringing a Hive Worm God to life! But mostly, thank you, O audience, mine. Without you, none of this would have been remotely possible.
Absolutely fantastic! Thank you for your voice work and to all the animators, artists, voice actors, audio wizards and lore masters who put this together. Thank you! See you starside, either with the Witch Queen Campaign or in the months before Lightfall to catch up on everything. Stay safe and I hope I'll see more of your exceptional work next year. …. And Remember...there's a possibility that the Hive God of War- Xivu Arath will have a staring role in a future season or expansion, so keep your materials saved and backed up to revisit them somewhere down the line and if possible, call back to this conversation and pledge to end the Osmium Dynasty, and the forces behind that dynasty. It'll be a long 3 years. Remember this moment when it all concludes on Feburary 21st 2024 with the Final Shape Campaign or Feburary 21st 2025 with the last season of the Light & Darkness Saga. If Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker has proven one thing, even if you put End in the title and they call it Season of the End...it's only just another beginning. Stay hopeful and stay safe.
There is no way to describe this other than "Foundational." I hope Sony and Bungie take note of your dedication and inspiration and let this drive them to take the expanded franchise that is Destiny to new heights as you have done. This game would be less without you and the rest of the community who enjoy it and welcome everyone with open arms. Thank you team Byf. You are Legend.
1:13:32 is the only thing that i think bungie wouldnt approve to be cannon in this video, but i think it shows how much those that worked on this had fun with it and truly love this franchise. (yes i read the disclaimer)
One of the animators here! Thank you Byf for this wonderful opportunity and being such an amazing producer on this entire project. Looking forward to the future. ; )
Thank you for allowing me to lend my voice to Riven and Ir Anuk! An absolutely incredible project to be a part of, I hope everyone involved is as proud as they should be.
00:00 - Beginning 6:10 - I the betrayal & the bargain 29:11 - II the first war 40:01 - III the crusaders 55:48 - IV king if shapes 1:14:41 - V tyrannus rex 1:27:28 - VI the silent queen 1:44:57 - VII reginae in ultima vertitatis
Until proven otherwise by Bungie themselves, let this be the definitive interpretation of the history of the Hive. A well-told story spanning millennia and forming not only a proper scope, but also a proper gravity of the strength of the Hive and the Darkness, presented to us in an easily-understood, well-crafted movie. It is just chock-full of time, effort, love and care, and I wish nothing but the best for you and all that worked on it, Byf.
I love the touch at 51:37 where Savathun has the knife at her back, clearly indicating she intended to betray oryx a second time. Can't stop being a pathological liar. Of course Oryx is having none of it.
Watching this after finishing TWQ and I love how, even with creative liberties, this feels like a perfect companion to the game. Also, good on Bungie themselves for helping alleviate the copyright issues so this masterwork of fan creation can live on as Destiny hits its own peak!
@@someguy1365 it wasn't criticism of the work, just it felt a bit odd to me to release a big video right before we got to know a lot about her. Like if you released The King detailing oryx's story right before the taken king. Not to the same extent of course and this is probably more like those the story up until the dlc videos
@@HoneyDoll894 Granted, the majority of it came from the Books of Sorrow; which is placed in Oryx's PoV. I'm sure Byf's mindset when making this was something similar to "People should know the past of the Hive as they go into the Witch Queen."
Bungie made me fall in love with Destiny for its gameplay and its music and its worlds…Byf made me fall in love with Destiny through the stories beyond the game, the ones hidden in lore. This was beautiful, Thank you Byf and the team behind this masterpiece. Well worth the wait.
My love for this series and its Lore was already a bright ember before I found Byfs channel back in the day. But now? Now it is blazing flame, burning away and reaching outwards to all wish to share the magnificent stories that this series has to offer. Thank you so much Byf and please continue to make this Lore Community Proud!!
Great piece of added detail at 1:36:20 - The Guardian you see is the one who did go into the Shattered Throne alone at Light Level 999, to kill Dûl Incaru. The armour and weapon matches perfectly from that famous run. Love these attentions to detail!
@@uzikage. idk about exact number light levels like we see being explicitly cannon but the concept is. It is basically a unit of measurement for a guardians strength in the Light. Ikora’s for instance is reported to be off the charts
I want to briefly elaborate on the reason for Nokris' excommunication that was touched on at 1:22:58. (Obviously you can't stop and go into detail in such a long story, but for those who are curious to know more, here ya go) The reason Necromancy is so revilled by the Hive is because it represents the antithesis of the Sword Logic. The Sword Logic being "if you died, you deserved to be dead. By killing, you prove your right to go on existing." Necromancy, reviving someone who had their chance to prove themselves superior, and failed, is blasphemous, as it allows weaklings to go on existing after having shown themselves to be unworthy of it. A Thrall that dies and dies over and over will remain weak, it will never grow strong, never learn from its' failings, never ascend to Knighthood or Wizardry, it'll just stagnate as a persistent pest. The Hive's way of life demands that the weak be culled, and Nokris' practices of resurrection spit in the face of all that. One might counter "What about the ascendant Hive and their throne worlds?" and point out the hypocrisy of this. But as discussed earlier in the Books of Sorrow, returning from the Throne World to be reborn in the material plane is no small effort. It requires a reserve of power and the will to use it. Hence why only a death within the Throne is a 'true' death. Because the sheer will to continue existing means that death in the traditional sense is not an absolute defeat for an ascendant hive, only a bloody nose. But a Hive who hasn't ascended, hasn't proven themselves worthy of it, they die once, and once only. As Oryx said to Crota, 'come home glorious, or die forgotten', they all have that mentality from day one. Ascend and be glorious, or die trying.
@@MackTheMadman Not exactly. With the Witch Queen campaign explaining how the planets were 'moved', we have some insight into Oryx's power to Take. Oryx creates the Taken by moving living beings through rifts in reality, snatching them from the material plane and dragging them into the Ascendant plane, to a place so deep within it that they are consumed by it, their bodies and minds twisted to fit the Witness' purpose, and then sent back with new skills and direction. But they are still the same being, still alive, and in some cases, possessing some fractured remnants of their former self.
Any sentient being who is able to be brought back from death repeatedly will learn from its previous life and why it died and will not do the same thing twice. Watch the movie Edge of Tomorrow
@@lookinforgoodshowsz No, because the Taken aren't killed when Oryx Takes them. Think of it more like a combination brainwashing and mutation; all Oryx does is twist their minds and bodies to better suit his needs, at no point does the victim perish during this process.
This is such an amazing piece of work and delivers what is in my opinion, one of the most important and coolest bits of lore in the entire Destiny universe. Byf, and everyone involved, amazing job! This makes me want a Hive based game based around the original conquest of the Osmium Court.
I’ve always pictured byf running a public library in the city, devoted to the ideal of freedom of information. Kind of an anti-hidden. The opening really fits with that well I think
He'd be like Giles from Buffy - on the surface a regular librarian, but he knows all the oldest most dangerous books. Also, he would probably be a master of L-space. I think he'd get on with Unseen University's librarian. Ook.
As someone who hasn’t played destiny 2 in several years, this was an incredible treat to watch, the new witch queen content has seriously been making me consider diving back in and this is the cherry on top. Y’all should fr be a collaborative team with bungee to be doing their lore and promo lmaoo
As someone who's abstained Destiny for a few seasons, it's worth it. The Legendary difficulty for the campaign is both challenging, and very rewarding. The PVE part of the game hasn't been this good before.
I heard they added that... The old weekly heroic campaign missions from D1 were a blast! I was sad when they took it out in D2. It gave the game an added replayability factor, and could have padded some of their more repetative/monotonous events. Like solstice of heros, particularly when they were about to vault entire DLCs worth of content, it would have been a lot of fun to revisit the story missions with event difficulty. D2 does a lot of things right, but I never liked the way they excluded campaign mode from end game content. I'm glad they did this.
as someone who also took a very long hiatus from d2, and only played the major story beats, I do not regret jumping back in on Witch Queen. The campaign is fantastic, and the new activities are a blast. I've seen more guardians in the tower in the past two weeks than probably all previous content drops combined.
Having beaten the story now and witness Bungie do their best to cover this story in a timely form of cutscenes, I'm so thankful for this video! It was so much easier to understand what was happening.
Byf I sincerely hope you know just how incredible it is that you and your team have created a fan project just as anticipated as the Witch Queen expansion itself. Truly incredible work and I expect this to be one of many things to really define your career. Excellent work from all who brought this to be.
It was so incredible to see Byf’s Warlock (Dawnblade warlock is supposedly his main). I’d always imagined him as this wise Warlock, a lone knowledgeable scholar reading old tomes and legendary texts.
Too bad the sword he gave to the other guy isnt available in game, that was the Raze Lighter, a Solar exotic sword from the first game, and unlike the other two in the set, it hasn't been given a successor, Dark Drinker got the Falling Guillotine, Bolt Caster got the Black Talon, but the Raze Lighter doesn't have a successor, and that makes me sad, I would have liked to have it for my Dawn blade build.
@@DavidKazuma Specifically, you could point out the Negative Space, which was reprised in the same season as the Temptation's Hook and Falling Guillotine came out and was itself a Solar weapon.
For a hundred years of local time the siblings fought the Vex. When the Vex came into the sword world, they were inevitably annihilated, but when the Hive went into the Vex world, they lost too much of their power to win. “Father’s going to eat our souls,” Halak sighed. ~The Books of Sorrow XXXIX, Verse 4:9
I like how Savathun is one of the very few to outplay Riven, a wish dragon, in a deal. Usually a wish dragon has some unforeseen twist to a deal, but Savathun UNO reversed it on her😂
This was the perfect prelude to Witch Queen, and the quality far exceeds anything I’ve seen from any community. Congratulations Byf, you and your team have done work on the level of Bungie and you should be recognized for your amazing work on Dynasty. Edit: YEAH BABY LETS GO DYNASTY IS TRENDING ON YT
The animation and interpretations of Taox, Xivu Arath, early Savathun and all the species the Hive wiped out are all really incredible to see. This is definitely how I'm imagining all of them whenever the books of sorrow get brought up. Its really awesome to see everything brought together like seeing Quria and Crota together now that we know what Quria looks like. Also nice to hear Nihil's Witch Queen tribute soundtrack too. Fantastic work to all involved!
This movie was a masterpiece from start to finish. The voice acting, the art, the custom cinematics, the music, everything was beautifully well done. My english vocabulary isn't big enough to even begin to describe how amazing this was. Thank you for this work of art, I really hope to maybe see more of these in the future!
Glad this masterpiece has been restored. It’s seriously some of the best content out there as regards to Destiny lore and was unbelievably helpful to me and I’m sure many other in terms of understanding the Osmium dynasty and contextualizing the plot of the Witch Queen campaign.
Congrats Byf and everyone involved. I hope the destiny community lives on even if the franchise concludes and I hope you spark a hoard of other shows based in this universe. Can’t wait!
For everyone who plays Destiny. Enjoy it, we are playing and living in history already. 10 or 20 years from now we will miss these days just like the MW2 days. Enjoy it man…..enjoy it.
this sets the bar for ANY destiny film moving forward. The sound, the art, the writing all culminating into a masterpiece, I'd say this is Byf's magnum opus but this journey has only begun. He paves the road that Sony aims to tread and I can't wait to see him tell the stories of the other races as he has done for the Hive. This has to be the single must watch video for any and all destiny players and fans. AND THE FELWINTER TEASER AT THE END HAS GOT ME REELING! GIVE ME THE LIE ALREADY WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
This will go down in history as the best passionate project i have ever seen fans make for a game they like. Well done My name is Byf and the team behind this!
Ever since the days when you and the previous team decided to end the Book of Sorrows tellings, I bet some of us who still remember waited for something like this. I’m glad I waited for this. Mr. Byf, what you and your team accomplished is a testament to the community’s infinite curiosity of the lore, and the compassion within it. Every single one a part of this video has done well. All of you should be proud from what y’all have created. When the time comes tomorrow, let us bask into what Savathun has to offer…or the trap she set up to fell into.
This makes me realize how much I want a destiny movie/series. With how much hidden lore there would be so many stories to follow and so much to watch. I wonder if it'll ever become a thing
I dont think ive ever sat through a fan created story explanation in its entirety that was pretty damn epic. Well-constructed and well executed. Anyone associated with this project should be very very proud of themselves, hats off!!!
Words cannot express how amazing this was. Literally every part of this was so perfect I’m sure that even if you showed this to someone who never played Destiny before they would still be amazed. Truly awesome work Byf and team, can’t wait for Witch Queen
You and the whole entire team absolutely knocked this out of the ascendant plane. Stunning! And what I would not give to be personally handed Raze-Lighter by the Lore Daddy himself.
I wouldn’t say changed but rather recontextualized. All we learned was that the sisters were lied to. Lied to in a way that would spell the doom and corruption of their entire species.
"Trillions and trillions of lives might have been spared." That, right there, is why we will never ally with the Hive. Savathûn might be freed from her Worm, but her hands are still gushing red with the blood of staggering numbers of people who never asked for war. We, the Guardians of Humanity, are the first to finally bring judgement to the Osmium dynasty. We can't stop with Oryx. We have to fight until all their names are dust, and their legacies are less than children's rhymes. This video is so damn cool, Byf.
@@acolyte7858 I appreciate your optimism, even if I don't share it. Until such a time arises, I'll be off blasting Hive Lightstealers in the head and then stomping their counterfeit Ghosts beneath my boots. Maybe once Savathûn is dead, peace will be an option, but only as much peace as one can have with a venomous snake in the corner of their bedroom. (Apologies if I'm coming off as too intense. I get a little too in-character, sometimes.)
This was utterly breathtaking. I planned ahead in order to watch this. I got food ready, got drinks, and took my dogs out before so I’d have no interruptions. And I’m glad that I did, because I was glued to my screen for the entire length of this video. You and your team did a fantastic job, and I know I’ll be coming back for repeat viewings of my favorite parts.
Popping inba year later to say that whoever voiced Xivu in this video is on point because her voice actually sounds similar to the official canon. Great job to that voice actor!
Yes literally facts, Her voice in this almost sounds just like the real voice of Xivu & I hope Our Fight Against her (whenever it comes) will be legendary for all of eternity lol.
I'm a huge destiny lore nerd, this is a Masterpiece. Amazing job Byf and the entire team that worked on this. I could watch this 100x and I will still love it. I hope you guys do more videos like this
This video is actually amazing. The amount of effort in the animation, voice acting, and storytelling are a perfect introduction into the history of the hive, to both veterans and blueberries alike. I love it.
This is amazing I love the origin story of the hive and what happened after. There's so much more that can be added after completing the witch queen too. Great job everyone involved.
This is truly a masterpiece. Thoroughly enjoyed this and congratulate the whole team on something they should all be insanely proud of. Thank you for making this
An absolute masterpiece. A true Magnum Opus. Watching this brought sooooo much more depth to the Witch Queen campaign for me. A truly heartfelt thanks for the monumental time and effort an undertaking such as this demands. Tragic that this got a copyright strike I'm here to do my bit to help get this video back on track. It's the very least I can do to ensure more content of this magnitude gets made in the future.
I never played this game and don't have plans to. I accidentally clicked this and it is...Amazing! I have no idea how many people it took to put this all together and how much time but great job! Now I'm addicted to watching clips about Destiny but Bfy has the perfect voice for telling stories. Thanks for the work!
this is a work of art that should belong in a Museum. the story of the Osmium Dynasty, The Taken King and the Witch Queen was the greatest personal selling point for me to jump into Destiny, and to see it protraied in such a masterpiece like this... i am breathtaken. keep making more incredible work like this, Byf, you truely are a legendary storyteller.
This is such a work of art. Everything about it just gets me so amped up. The crew did such an amazing job. Thank you everyone responsible for this. I hope it gets the attention it deserves!
This was an incredible experience. A culmination of years of storytelling by an Incredible company, brought together in magnum opus by an incredible team. Every word and every frame encapsulating the authentic feeling of this universe we all love and have seen grow over time. A swan song made by a team of talented and dedicated people that brought us a brilliant story. A culmination of years of reading, learning, understanding and hypothesizing that ended up with what is arguably the greatest work of art the Destiny community has seen. Q I think i can speak for all of us when i say; to the team that has made this masterpiece possible: Thank you.
I can’t imagine the amount of work and research that went into this. This video and story you have pieced together over years of in game lore is nothing short of phenomenal. Thank you for hard work
Absolutely enthralling. This is a stunning piece of work and truly a masterpiece of passion for a story that we all benefit from being told in such a fantastic way. Thank you so much to all those involved and thank you to Byf for sharing it with us!
Finally finished this masterpiece. Amazing job everyone! Byf, Rindel, Eggs, and the countless others involved who were both featured in the developers journals and otherwise, you created something special. Something I am bound to watch 5 or 6 more times to soak in.... god I love this community... See you all tomorrow
The lore of the Hive is by far my favourite in the Destiny universe, I've been eagerly awaiting this video. And I gotta say - I loved every minute of it. The voice acting was great, the animations and art were impeccable and as always, Byf's buttery smooth voice was the icing on the cake. This is nothing short of a masterpiece, well worth the wait. Hats off to Byf and everyone involved with this gem, you all did a tremendous job with it and you should be proud.
This is hands down some of the best destiny 2 content I have ever seen. My congratulations to Byf and the team for having such a grand vision and coming through so spectacularly with it. This is a masterwork and sets the bar quite high for any following act.
That opening was just *chefs kiss* so beautiful. I will forever imagine Byf standing in a library lit by a giant brazier in the center, magically floating tomes around to use as resource as he recants all the knowledge he has. My headcanon is that he uses these tomes to show us visions like watching a screen, of the subjects he is explaining to us. Visions showing us how powerful an opponent is to a certain degree of clarity.
This has to be one of the best things a destiny RUclipsr has ever made. The artwork, the cast, just everything about it is amazing. Keep up the good work and keep telling the story of destiny in your own amazing way.
3 hours since upload, 37k views, over 12k likes, what an impressive ratio already, this video is a masterpiece. You’ve outdone yourself here Byf. This is seriously an awesome project you and the whole team put together. Between the production quality, voice acting, visual art, this is by far the best depiction of Destiny lore to date. I hope you have plans to do the same sort of thing with other major lore plot points within the universe. Watching just before servers go offline before WQ releases tomorrow. Can’t wait for you to cover the lore in this DLC and future ones to come.
This is literally my favorite lore video of all time. I'm sure this was a HUGE project but SERIOUSLY worth it! Byf, Team, y'all are amazing! keep making more!
This is by far the greatest project I’ve ever seen come out of any community. Masterful job to everyone involved with this and I’ll see you all tomorrow in game when we invade Savathûn’s throne world.
I seriously thought this was done with Bungie's collaboration the first time I saw it. This is fantastic, and thank you Byf for being the hero our community deserves!
That was incredible, so well scripted, scored, voiced everything. What an amazing way to bring such rich interesting lore to life. I was hyped for The Witch Queen before by Bungies own media and marketing but this just increased that hype tenfold. Big applause Byf and team cannot wait to see more videos as the lore for The Witch Queen unfolds.

Great piece of added detail at 1:36:20 - The Guardian you see is the one who did go into the Shattered Throne alone at Light Level 999, to kill Dûl Incaru. The armour and weapon matches perfectly from that famous run.
Love these attentions to detail!
Woah that's awesome, I didn't realize
it is! holy shit!!!!
wait what does that mean that Light Level is in canon
The guardians name was Bagel 4k
@@uzikage. idk about exact number light levels like we see being explicitly cannon but the concept is. It is basically a unit of measurement for a guardians strength in the Light. Ikora’s for instance is reported to be off the charts
I want to briefly elaborate on the reason for Nokris' excommunication that was touched on at 1:22:58. (Obviously you can't stop and go into detail in such a long story, but for those who are curious to know more, here ya go)
The reason Necromancy is so revilled by the Hive is because it represents the antithesis of the Sword Logic.
I found that hypocritical since oryx takes he doesn’t necessarily kill his in some way was a OP kind of necromancy
@@lorcan0c soooo loop hole?

The Legendary (puzzle solving) campaign was very entertaining for me. I switched load out 3x. STORY/GAME PLAY 10/10 for me.
as someone who also took a very long hiatus from d2, and only played the major story beats, I do not regret jumping back in on Witch Queen. The campaign is fantastic, and the new activities are a blast. I've seen more guardians in the tower in the past two weeks than probably all previous content drops combined.
Dive back in... “and drown in the deep.”
Byf inserting himself into the lore as the one "the guardian" goes to is so... true. 👍 bungie needs canon this.
on the contrary whatever which way this game goes, byf should be hired as the new Speaker of the travellers will imo
I've always imagined byf being some wise guardian that shares lore and stories with other guardians, would be super cool if they gave him a character
@@jacobgilbreath6704 technically every legendary sword in the game before season 11 was a razelighter derivative because it had rhe same heavy attack

That, right there, is why we will never ally with the Hive. We, the Guardians of Humanity, are the first to finally bring judgement to the Osmium dynasty. We can't stop with Oryx. We have to fight until all their names are dust, and their legacies are less than children's rhymes.

1:13:32 I love the tone the sisters have here. It’s like they’ve just broken Dad’s favorite mug and they know he’s going to kill them for it.
Can’t wait To watch this later tonight!! We’re gonna go get popcorn from the theater!
The original books of sorrow videos were what hooked my wife and I on destiny, to see the story told like this is amazing!
Right?! I'm gonna try and get some friends together and do the same thing
51:43 had me on the edge of my seat. Amazing job so far loving every minute of this massive project.
It feels surreal to have been involved with this. My gratitude is beyond anything I can really articulate...all I can say is thank you, again, for including me on such a knockout team. I am so proud of y'all! ❤️
This is amazing and would like to thank Byf and his team for doing such an amazing job to create something so spectacular like this. Really puts into show how much the Destiny community has come and how it will keep growing.
This was spectacular, i simply cannot believe how good this was. The PERFECT lead into the Witch Queen. You and your team have outdone yourselves with this.
Well done!
Byf, this is absolutely unreal. Congratulations. Your team's hard work has created one of the most impressive pieces of content ever produced by this community.
THE Destiny lore MASTERPIECE! Just finished watching it for the second time and might watch again for a third. Extensive research, great writing, stellar performance, and truly professional levels of visuals and editing all around. As a returning Destiny 1 player this makes me realise just how much deeper the lore of this game has developed and the future potential it has in so many directions. You and your amazing team should be proud. This is one for the books.
Absolutely AMAZING, JOB WELL DONE to all who took part in this production!!! Definitely something i will be rewatching in the days ahead. Very highly recommended to all that love or are interested in Destiny!
The worm animation in the fight against Oryx was incredibly well done!!
literally the pinnacle of lore! This is as good as telling a story can get! Great job Byf!
This is definitely getting the community spotlight.
There is literally no way anything can top this.
This is spectacular. Byf, you and your team are a huge reason Destiny is as popular as it is now. Bravo, incredible way to really flesh out the lore and story of this great game.
Incredible, this made my play through of The Witch Queen much more enjoyable.
Absolutely fantastic! Thank you to all the animators, artists, voice actors, audio wizards and lore masters who put this together. Thank you! See you Starside Guardians, either with the Witch Queen Campaign or in the months before Lightfall to catch up on everything. Stay safe and I hope I'll see more of your exceptional work next year.

Being a part of this community has been simply amazing. Thank you so much Byf and the Dynasty team for making something so incredible!
Very well done! You absolutely out did yourselves (everyone on this project). Thank you for taking the time to make this excellent piece of destiny lore/art adaptation.
I love savathun's symbol on taox's nose. The idea that taox either inspired savathun into trickery, or was a pawn of savathun herself would be such a cool theory!

Can’t wait for the felwinter solo movie! Huge thanks and congrats to Byf and his team for pulling such an amazing video (if we can call this piece of artwork a video at this point) and describing such confusing lore flawlessly!
An absoloute masterpiece Byf! You, the art team, the animators, the editors, the voice actors, everyone who worked on this did so well and absolutely killed it! The passion on display here so evident and the quality and care behind this project is amazing! Thank you so much for all the hard work you and everyone did to bring this too us, it was absolutely worth waiting for! Hope you and everyone enjoys the launch of Witch Queen, and also make sure to take time for yourself Byf, enjoy the fruits of your labors. See you starside loremaster Byf.
This is still such a good watch. Bungie needs to pay this man to create a high budget project.
