RosAnn thanks for the kind words! I appreciate the support. I always try and tell everyone the whole truth when it comes to the area that way they know what it’s like before they get here. Do you live in the area?
@@LivingInTheOzarks I do not friend I am in CO right now but used to live in lovely Joplin, I miss it. You are so welcome and more people should be listening to your videos they are great.
I lived in Joplin Missouri from 1985. I moved away in 2013. Never did I think that the crime rate was high. Back around 1988, the Mexican mafia tried to establish roots in town. The KKK took care of that. No more problem. What ran me out of Joplin was the lack of employment due to the 2011 tornado. I miss Joplin. But, I'll never go back. I don't miss the tornadoes.
I’m so sorry that happened to you Tori. I’ve never had any problems like that and I’ve lived here almost my entire life. Not to take anything away from what happened to you, that’s horrible! Thanks for your comment and I hope your doing okay now.
high crime is exaggerated. Stay out of the gross bars and you won't experience it. Only one tornado in 40 years has done significant damage that was in 2011. Still better than Carthage.
This guy has no idea what he's talking about. I grew up in Joplin before graduating from JHS and joining the militarily. Since that time I have lived and traveled all over the US and in 12 other countries. Joplin is no where near the worse place that you can live; neither the best probably, but for sure not the worse. Crime rate, really? Have you actually lived in other places?
I've traveled all over the world and lived in multiple state. Joplin is the last place I'd ever live again after moving away at 22, not due to crime, but the education level of the city is on par with a preschool.
You contradict yourself on all three points. Point #1 - High crime, but you've never experienced it. By the way, we don't have a high crime rate. Point #2 - It's small, but some people like it because it's close to and there's access to other larger areas. Point #3 - Tornadoes...You have never seen one and we have a great tornado warning system. We had one really bad one inside Joplin. That's it.
Have you been thinking about moving to the Joplin area?
If so , we would love to help!

@@demgainz5089 nah we just had a bad one in 2011
I couldn't go there cause it has crappy grass
Great review! I’m thinking about moving this helps sooo much!
No
I'm moving there to work for CFI, and being from Detroit I can make it anywhere
Be VERY careful
He said crime was high 😆😂😆😂 I moved to Missouri from Florida
How did you react when the tornado happened?
I got mugged and beat by 4 guys in joplin several years ago
Im here right now and no one will look me in the eyes or get in the same elevator as me the crime is bad or everyone wouldn't be so sketched out
I’m so sorry that happened to you Tori.

My daughter is wanting to have an audit done in JoplinMo what’s your advise?
no one cares.
Like ANY town, the crime is only bad depending on where you live. North side, in the middle, yes... south side, in the middle, not really.
Don't come here! Please, I like it how it is!

Carthage is a million times better

Funny that the crime directly quaralate around how many people in the city are doing methamphetamines
