Kyle Hamilton is extremely talented. Maybe he can read the whole field during every play(?). He reads the ball, quarterback, running backs, receivers, etc. without any errors. He also lines up anywhere in the field, so lends to being unpredictable. Very quick!
Exactly. Can cover receivers deep as a free safety and punish people lining up in the box for a safety blitz. The dude has a perfect balance of strength and quickness. Excellent open field tackling, and has a a knack for finding the ball. Add in his monstrous hits and his obsurd 6’4” 220 lb frame, this guy is the prototypical alpha male, and will be an immediate day 1 impact for whichever team that picks him. 👌🏼🔥
What a steal, I still can’t believe he was there at 14. One of the best things about this kid is how tall and rangy he is, and how well he uses that size. 4:10 see so many players in college and a lot in the pros also miss these tackles. Damn near routinely in college are these tackles whiffed on. Dude is in perfect position to just wrap the TE and instead ends up on his stomach reaching for dudes ankles lol. Luckily that Hamilton cat comes through for his boy and seals the deal. But the regularity in which DBs miss these tackles is wild
A true generational talent. Kid breaks the mold of modern day defensive players, a true linebacker/safety hybrid. It's insane. It's like if you combined Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor into one player. Might be the best safety prospect of this century bruh. The ultimate defensive terminator. Can cover RB's in space, can blitz and rock the QB, can play single high and cover literally the entire field, can dominate in man coverage on routes that even many top corners can't defend, always in the right spot, tackles like a mfer with full will and intent. Love it man, absolutely fucking love it.
If he can go to a defense that already has some elite pieces in place and he can be used like a true defensive chess piece, it's over bruh. Absolutely fucking over. 1st down if you let him run clean through the los he can easily take down a run in the backfield. 2nd down he can shut down a screen pass, can beat the blocker in space and make the tackle literally by himself, and trust me he will not miss the tackle. 3rd down he can line up in man coverage on the TE and basically eliminate almost any starting TE currently(save a couple), or you can line him up in single high and just let him roam the field. If you have a decent pass rush, or hopefully a good one, he can ball hawk like a fucking madman. Kid has a chance to be a revelation if he can land in the right scenario. Even if not he can still be damn good, and a true building block piece.
I would take him top 5 and as the 2nd or 3rd non QB off the board, only because pass rushers are just so valuable and important, and KT and potentially Hutch are just that damn good. But Hamilton might be and probably is the actual best player in this class.
Finally baltimore drafted a guy that can fix our TE problem. That always has been an achilles heel on baltimore's defense. We couldnt cover tight ends.
I hope minnesota gets Hamilton. Just imagine seeing Kyle Hamilton and Harrison Smith in the secondary. Just what we need! And Smith won't be around too much longer but the perfect opportunity for Hamilton to learn from one of the best veteran safties in the NFL. That would shorten his learning curve tremendously.
Born March 16, 2001. Played high school football for the Marist War Eagles (GA). Played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Drafted #14 overall by the Baltimore Ravens.
man is this kid special! Would absolutely love if my giants snagged him at 5 or 7 to compliment Xavier McKinney. That would be such a dynamic duo between them. Sadly I doubt he falls I see him going top 3.
Man, this kid is a freak! An excellent cover CB/SS/FS. He has crazy closing speed, great hands and love to stick his shoulder in the ball carrier’s chest. He wraps up when tackling for minimum to no YAC. He’s that Swiss Army knife I saw in his ex-teammate JOK. I want Buffalo to take Jameson Williams, but if he’s gone, I’d be perfectly fine if the Bills grab Kyle Hamilton in the first round.

4:25 Even on 3rd down, I have no clue what he was doing here lol. Easiest read and pick ever. If QB is set on hitting the seem then he needs to throw it way earlier. But in his progression streaming across his face is his slot on the drag who’s picking up 10-20 yac if he just takes the simple read and throw. Even if he’s short, it’ll be 1-2 yds w/ a decision to make. Best chance pre snap is to look to grab the 1st w/ some yac since the def is giving up so much space. Chances are that Hamilton will blow him up short of the sticks. But still better than throwing right into the def. Good QB knows to take the L and not compound it.
That's why I think whoever drafts him there gonna turn him into a Hybrid LB watch like what they did with Mark Barron, Keanu Neal,Deone Bucannon that's just to name a few that were Safety's
@@angelvalentin4755 he is far better in coverage than those guys. Kid definitely runs faster on film than what he posted at the combine. Great reads and acceleration. Impressive. If he falls to 17 for whatever reason, that would be interesting for Chargers. Pair him and Derwin together?
@@megaladon5203 to be fair he also played last year when Dame was 12-2 including playoffs and the games he played this year were some of the toughest games (Cincy, Wisconsin, Purdue) were the games he didn't play were easier ones (Navy, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Stanford). The one game he missed that it would have been nice to see him play would have been UNC because although they are mediocre they have a NFL draft pick at QB and Downs at WR is future 1st rounder. Other than that Kyle played against the better teams and players on the schedule this year.
This kid hits like a linebacker, covers like a corner, and has the awareness of a QB... I get Troy Polamalu vibes. All over the field, allowed to run free and make plays cuz of the talent around him.
This kid has Sean Taylor type instincts and athleticism. He's not as big as Sean Taylor but he has the same type of attitude. If Kyle Hamilton can put on 15 more pounds of muscle he'll be real special in the NFL. Hopefully he'll go 11 to the Redskins, WFT, Commanders.
Only scenario I see us getting him is if we trade back to 5 with the giants and get their 3 second rounders. I can’t wait for the draft, it’s our Super Bowl lol
He's going #2 to the Lions, no trade back. Safeties with his talent can change the game. Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Brian Dawkins, Troy Palomalu.....Detroit needs a safety who can help their hybrid 3-4 defense, being a safety who can come up and disguise as a linebacker, pop running backs, blitz, and lock down tight ends, but also able to drop in to pass coverage on 3rd downs, staying on the field all 3 downs. No reason to overthink this one. At 2, he can be drafted for sure, and he will be by the Lions.
@@robertguth5332 totally disagree, there’s no way Brad Holmes is taking a safety at 2. Also you’re comparing him with the best safties of all time and he hasn’t set foot on an nfl field. We are also moving to more of a 4-3 this season, probably a lot of 4-2-5. This saftey class is insanely deep. I can get a starter at 34 and I can get a starter like marquese bell all the way in the 5th or 6th. If hutch is gone at 2 we are either taking Willis or a team will trade up to 2 to take him. Not to mention hamiltons best season was his freshman year. You and the other 50 percent of lions fans thinking that taking a safety at 2 is insane.
You have to look at every game he played to see if opposing WRs had a game or could not play at hype level when facing ND s star Safety. ND was on TV a lot nationally but I dont recall any star WRs of having the stats needed to overshadow the Safety. Its more than grouping up every highlight film on a player to grade that player, for it is watching those games of opposing WRs stats of ND Games. If it shows most WRs didnt have the hyped stats of their regular play outside playing ND but it is a real window of seeing the real value of that player of their opposing positions. He needs a few games where the opposing star WRs didnt get their normal stats and it mostly has to do of how well the opposing Safety of handling the WRs..
Present restrictive rules against hard tackles diminish the impact Kyle can have on the game. Ronnie Lott, Jack Tatum, and Sean Taylor played under different rules. But I do love the pick at 11. He is the best all round defender in draft.
@@r3tr0actiongamer24 In last year's draft, it's a strong possibility he would've fell out of the top-10 with all of the offensive talent. In this draft, it'd be a miracle for him to fall to #11, where we pick. Smh
Versatile Hybrid Safety that you can play at Rover, Strong Safety, Nickel, Mike LB or Sam Backer. He fits the same mold as Isaiah Williams & Jayron Kearse, he's a Swiss Army Knife player that you can move all over the field.
Honestly if Hutchinson, KT and Neal are all taken then I hope the Giants just take Kyle Hamilton and worry about the edge or OL with our second pick. I’d love to see Hamilton and McKinney together
As a ravens fan, I didn’t understand why until I started watching this guy. He’s got the radius, instincts and ball skills his 40 was underwhelming but he’s rangy in the SS role

Probably gonna replace him this yr
If it wasn't for the elite talent of edge rushers coming out this year, I could see him going #1 overall...yeah, he's that good
Hopefully we pick him. #WFT
@@freddiej2411 fr
@Freddie J that would be nice, I don't see him slipping to 11 but it's possible just because of how teams devalue the position
@@Anthony_Etheridge415 Yeah, VERY unlikely he falls to us. 😔
"with the second pick in the 2022 NFL Draft the Detroit Lions Select Kyle Hamilton".
Sorry to burst your bubble fellas
Dude is getting gonna even bigger once he gets into the NFL training program. 6'4 monster
Like a super athletic tightend in the secondary lol
Dude would be perfect in Brandon Staley's defensive scheme.Man if he falls to 17 to play with Derwin and JC Jackson that would be deadly.
Finally baltimore drafted a guy that can fix our TE problem. That always has been an achilles heel on baltimore's defense. We couldnt cover tight ends.
4:28 I'm not comparing him to Ed Reed. Nobody is Ed Reed. But that was an Ed Reed type read there. He broke on the ball before the QB threw the ball.
Love the highlight vids
Thanks my man!
Xavier McKinney + Kyle Hamilton🥶🥶🥶
His anticipation is ridiculous
I hope minnesota gets Hamilton. Just imagine seeing Kyle Hamilton and Harrison Smith in the secondary. Just what we need! And Smith won't be around too much longer but the perfect opportunity for Hamilton to learn from one of the best veteran safties in the NFL. That would shorten his learning curve tremendously.
When harry retires we still have Cam Bynum who played well. Hamilton would be a beautiful upgrade

This dude ain’t no damn 90s kid.
Plsss fall in the eagles hands 🙏🏽
Jets do the right thing and bring this guy to NY
I feel sorry for anyone the jets draft. Y'all need some more offensive linemen so Zach's career doesn't go straight down the toilet.
@@arttrumbo9496 Jets line has been hurt and so have their best playmakers only weak link is the RG spot with GVR. The defense has been the problem recently. Jets address that by taking Kyle Hamilton.
@@arttrumbo9496currently we have 2 top 1st rd picks in the 4th and 7th slot and I still won’t draft a safety I would take Center and Edge. Safety is a finishing touch on a defense luxury pick like RB

Hey my guy it's that time of year and I know who to dome to to see great vids of these young guys.
That's what's up Walter! I appreciate you
A RAVEN FOR SURE! PLAY LIKE A RAVEN AND GO HARD!
This guy is a beast! Hopefully it translates to the NFL. 🙌🏾
Oh it will
Just imagine in the 2022 Draft teams trading down for QBs, but trading up for Kyle Hamilton.
Anyone who trades up for a safety should be fired
Giants need this guy 💪🏾😤
🤣🤣🤣
Future Raven 😈🔥🔥🔥
I hope my giants draft Kyle Homilton him and Xavier McKinney will be a great duo giants play make it happen 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Or convert him to middle linebacker & become the next Brian Urlacher
@@Inspector-71whatever to make our defense better
Definitely would mean the TEs would stop abusing the middle of the field against them
🗣Go get this man Howie
Kyle Hamilton is very good on stopping the run and rushing the quarterback and good in pass coverage
That's why I think whoever drafts him there gonna turn him into a Hybrid LB watch like what they did with Mark Barron, Keanu Neal,Deone Bucannon that's just to name a few that were Safety's
@@angelvalentin4755 he is far better in coverage than those guys. Kyle Hamilton got played in 1v1 coverage and did really well throughout his career but I see what you are saying about them using him more to cover slots and TEs at the next level but in all honestly most teams use safeties for that anyways as TEs have gotten so damn fast.
This kid is a beast, I see a generational talent,And he is good on his pass defense,He also is a hitter.Real Deal
Future Texan👀
Old school hard hitting db right here reminds of watching nfl in the 2000s

Kid definitely runs faster on film than what he posted at the combine. Great reads and acceleration. Impressive. If he falls to 17 for whatever reason, that would be interesting for Chargers. Pair him and Derwin together?
I could tell why Notre Dame went 11-1 💚💚💚☘️☘️☘️
He didn’t even play six games cuz he hurt his knee
@@megaladon5203 to be fair he also played last year when Dame was 12-2 including playoffs and the games he played this year were some of the toughest games (Cincy, Wisconsin, Purdue) were the games he didn't play were easier ones (Navy, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Stanford). The one game he missed that it would have been nice to see him play would have been UNC because although they are mediocre they have a NFL draft pick at QB and Downs at WR is future 1st rounder. Other than that Kyle played against the better teams and players on the schedule this year.
@@thomasdemay9805 true, but I would’ve liked to see him play out the year
This kid hits like a linebacker, covers like a corner, and has the awareness of a QB... I get Troy Polamalu vibes. All over the field, allowed to run free and make plays cuz of the talent around him.
Really hope the Falcons get this guy🙏🏻
This kid has Sean Taylor type instincts and athleticism. He's not as big as Sean Taylor but he has the same type of attitude. If Kyle Hamilton can put on 15 more pounds of muscle he'll be real special in the NFL. Hopefully he'll go 11 to the Redskins, WFT, Commanders.
Now that they hired Wink Martindale i can see the Giants taking him at 7. Pairing him with McKinney would be nasty
No Fly Zone going on in Bmore!! 🔥🔥🔥
I hope the Lions end up getting him, he definitely has All-Pro potential
