Great advice We recently took 5 days to recharge We rented a little house from Air BNB that was literally in the middle of nowhere … on the edge of a canyon cliff in the flat plains of the panhandle of Texas . Got up in the middle of the night to watch the stars … n then the sun rise . The quiet was somehow incredibly profoundly loud . ❤️ The totally flat lands gave us the coolest sunrise …. With a totally uninterrupted view. That opening view of you guys in the middle of the river… makes this Texas Mimi’s heart sing . Thanks for the glimpses 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm a worry wart always planning everything. Always been that way but now that I'm retired things have gotten a lot simpler.ALL i worry about now is Dr. and hospital bills. Aint that the way it is save money and then give it up to Drs. and hospitals. Good vid Brent
Good points Brenton! I think too some activities keep us in the moment! No point worrying about something three days ahead as it is easy to focus on today's tasks! To your point, those tasks are all at hand and usually not too stressful, until a Wing Dam reaches out and grabs you! Lol! AllthebestRoy
While I totally agree, and want this simpler life. I struggle with it as I’m always on the go, or feel like if I take a day to just be lazy. I feel like I’m behind in getting something done. I was feeling anxious after being off of work for the Thanksgiving holiday. Sunday I was checking my work email and seeing the multiple days worth of work to catch up on. Maybe when my daughter is grown & on here own, and my carrier is winding down I will be able to focus on a simpler slower lifestyle. I hope!!
I struggle with that too Todd. I feel like a kind of modern day homesteader, in the sense that I have hundreds of "jobs" (since I don't have one "real" job that pays me to pay everyone else to do those hundreds of jobs) this can feel like work is never done. I've definitely made progress in the past couple of years of being able to trust myself and the process to leave things undone, knowing I will get them done eventually. Modern life is way too stressful to be happy. It takes a rebel.
Un clutter your life. The worst thing we have now is being tethered to the "smart " phone. Reduce stress by by eliminating financial and other un necessary obligations that are just not priorities . Drink some good coffee and relax... Like Brenton & Wavey

Excellent perspective, thanks!
EXACTLY, we’ve found that living small is living large.
Simplification of today is the refinement of tomorrow.
Absolutely hit the nail on the head!
I fully agree. It takes me time to remember where everything in my life is at when i get back from a long trip
As Saint-Exupery said:

Didn't get a fold up wagon yet?
Yes we did ;) a friend of the channel brought us one on Alton. Will definitely be using it soon. This gas trek was all mud! ;)
@@brentonsriversidehermitage Good, that'll make it a little easier to get gas and groceries.
