I love these videos. I've watched every single one so far. I think what gets me every time is the intensity of the language combined with the movie titles. "I'm gonna abandon you in Gotti" always makes me crack up.
One of my favourite parts about this is NL roasting the absolute hell out of chatters who dare to challenge him on his turf.
What gets me is every time he gasps "They don't have it?!" when a movie doesn't show up, and every time chat tells him he's either misspelled or misremembered the name of the movie.

That back to back to back battle with 2girls1game was impressive. Held his own with NL at the start but had no stamina, and NL found his weaknesses by game 3.

@@matikkkii3482 He doesn't understand how to play his bans as traps, though. At 6:00 his opponent uses Kirsten Dunst as his FIRST move, thus being ban immune, to go into Melancholia. From this point on, his opponent is subject to his bans, including Dunst and Raimi, which would make it optimal for him to actively move into Spiderman and spring the trap you say he built it for on him, but he doesn't catch it whatsoever.

well the whole point of the game is to connect movies with other movies via actors and directors. It starts with a random movie each day and each player takes a turn to name a movie that shares an actor or director with the previous movie (the connecting person's name is written between the big colorful boxes saying the title of the movies) each connecting person is only allowed to be used 3 times total leading to strategies like being the first to say a relatively unknown actor, leading your opponent to name a second movie with them in it, and finally naming the last movie as something that basically only stars that one person (what NL calls a punch out sometimes) leading them to be unable to follow up within the 20 second time limit thus winning the game. To assist you in play there are 3 life lines, 15 second which obviously adds 15 seconds to the timer, cast which shows the player that uses it the cast of the current movie in the chain, and finally skip which allows the player to skip their turn passing the current movie back to the person that played it (keeping in mind that if both players skip it will result in a draw so skip at your own risk as it puts you in a situation where the game can be drawn easily, and play at your own risk as if a player skips you will have to deal with whatever you sent at them meaning you can strand yourself by accident). Unfortunately this is one of the few games NL is good at along side issac due to his absurd knowledge of every movie and actor ever leading to at this point a very Pog like 80% win rate.

You know. Watching him play I thought I’d give it a try. the fact that he’s interacting with chat while instantly recalling all these movies actors, directors, and titles is insane.
I tried to play today and as soon I needed to recall a RDJ movie I couldn’t remember tropic thunder… Pineapple Express was the only title I could remember.
I can't stop playing this game now. My body was not ready for the book moves. Time to research up brothers.
From Snakes on a Plane you could go to Good Burger, although that seems like you could just end up in an even worse trap.
If you could get somebody with no skip to guess Last Voyage of the Demeter or Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, you could use the director to dump them in Trollhunter, a Norwegian movie packed full of people who have never been in any other movies.
If i was trying to take NL down i would try to take him down voice actors from animations, however i don't know 99% of the movies or actors he names

Insane battles this episode, holy.
Even if all stream snipping is obvsly inevitable, sucks a bit since it always opens space to question the opponent's legitimacy, like the dude with 11 losses being one of his best battles so far, or the last guy turning his W into a emotional L. (Not saying all chatters (or even that particular guy) are on suspicious activities, but it always makes it feel more likely they might be)
And that one guy was purely disgusting behaviour but that's completely outside the usual stuff
So that was me. I didn't stream snipe and ran into NL on pure chance. Didn't turn his stream back on until after it was over. It was the middle of a slow workday but I still had to get some work done so I couldn't risk going another 50+ rounder.

But if you did you had to know how it came off. If you didn't, don't take offense to what I said. His use of bans is a massive waste and he essentially never remembers that they only affect opponents, he opens himself up to a 3rd strike killshot all the time when he has easy ways to avoid it (though he seems to be doing this less now), and he has lost god knows how many rounds to forgetting he can just use the person from the previous connection again @@dave3429

I think the way you have to kill NL is by taking advantage of something like John DiMaggio in the princess Mononoke dub and abandoning him in the anime tunnels. I doubt that’s on the website though.

40:00 I think this is a terrible take, you definitely should tweak your bans, it is fun to see if they can lead you into a different trap. If you want to get gigabrain then you take time to make it look like you're tweaking your bans, then don't actually change them, take them into your trap via a different route and when they think it is safe to escape then BOOM you're dragged to hell via the "Ban Raimi gambit"
