Didn't you specifically provide ChatGPT an updated understanding of select markets (i.e. crypto, stock exchange, banking collapse, etc.)? In the video you show that ChatGPT told you to put money into BTC and ETH in a 10:5 ratio, but you said that it told you to put the money in evenly. What happened?
What you probably didnt consider is that even though you told it to time travel to 2023, it still only knows information from when it was created, 2020. So technically, from then until now all of the stocks that it said to invest in have increased since then. CHAT GBT wont work for investing in real time currencies because it doesnt have real time input
@@petersui9532sorry, I just came across this video now as a suggestion from another video... anyhow, I believe it's backwards...the Bing browser (or bing chat /co-pilot) uses chat gpt-4 as well as dalle-3 to get real time data... ironically, chatGPT has a subscription fee to access chatGPT-4 whereas it's completely free if you use bing chat...not sure if chatgpt has more features since they charge for it though.
The answer is that he SHOULDN'T have! Chat GPT is only 'trained' up until September 2021, so I can see why this date is significant. But the problem is that he TOLD Chat GPT that it had time travelled to 2023, and asked it to make investment decisions from that date going forward. He then seemingly forgot that he had given it those instructions, and backtested the dates to Sep 2021 and said it had made losses.

8:38 It didn't say "split evenly" it said 10:5 (or 2:1). Still woulda lost money, but gotta do what the robot overlords say if you want them to stay happy.
It clearly just looked at those graphs he showed and saw a steep curve right before choosing it, which they all have. Since the goal was to make money quickly, obviously those would be the best. It just didn't factor in that growth isn't always a straight line up and would need a much broader perspective to understand that.
Awesome experiment and informative video. Though it seems like at some point everything peaked before the graphs started going down. is that because you mentioned that chatGPT was trained on old data, and you had to give chatGPT some context of the current state of the market. What if those peaks suggest that the context was perfect for that timeframe since the market is forever changing. Meaning you would need to constantly tweak the parameters of your context. so maybe feed continuous data through the context you give it and use fixed timeframes to be able to track the progress of each update you make. Keeo the timeframes smaller. Thanks for the awesome video!
No, he just completely messed up the video - he told chat gpt that it had time travelled to the year 2023 and asked it to pick a portfolio starting from 2023... but then instead he backtested it to Sep 2021 and said it was loss making. He had literally already told it that the current day price of ETH and BTC is lower than the Sep 2021 price, so why would chat gpt suggest including them in the portfolio? Simple - it didn't, he just forgot what instructions he had given to it.
We have to understand how AI works to answe this. AI is basically a program that can learn extracting data from other sources. Chat GPT is not aware that the market is constantly changing, it's meant to give you results based on the abvailable data that it has untiil the moment you ask the question. Chat GPT believes something is true until it has enough data to beleve it's not, therefore, it sucks at predicting data as it lives, sort of speak, "too in the moment" for it to work as intended. If they made a program that learns by analizing continuous data, then this AI could potentially predict the market, but you wouldn't be able to have a conversation with it. So, Chat GPT would never be that, but I;m sure they're working on something.
All of that comparing would made sense if u didnt ask to teleport to our year right? Cuz tbose predictions are based on the present and not on September 2021
I'm confused why are we going back to sept 2021, did you not give it parameters for today's market, in which it would be informing you to buy at a time when these stocks were low...there also seemed to be a jump before each stock dropped. I think too, you split the crypto, the wrong way
I think with you giving it info that is of the present, it’s telling you to invest this way as if it were today, not 9/2021 Because in September 2021 none of the inputs you gave it were accurate and it was taking that into consideration as if it were.
I was thinking the same thing. Really confused as to why he said invest like it’s today and then measured the investments as if they were actually made in September 21. It makes no sense.
It'll be interesting to know what happens to the stock market if AI is ever able to be used to pick winners with a high degree of certainty. Everybody will be buying the same stocks and not buying others, and that would create a crazy world.

Just going through the moo moo Ts & Cs - for the Australian platform works off a custodial system and therefore is not CHESS sponsored. Not sure about the US side.
When GTP-4 told you to put $15 into cryptocurrency (BTC and ETH, respectively) in a 10:5 ratio, that does not mean that you split it evenly, as mentioned in this video. That is not how ratios work. GPT-4 is instructing you to put twice as much money into BTC than what you are putting into ETH. It is telling you to put $10 into BTC and $5 into ETH.
I feel like we are doing this a little wrong. You told it that it time travelled and gave it current information about today's economy, so it's making investing decisions off of the data you provided plus a little stuff that it already knew. But you're showing as if it was bought back in 2021, the bot doesn't know that it needs to time travel back and invest because you didn't tell it. So the comparison from 2021 to today's price doesn't work.
Wait, why did you compare his performance as if he bought in Sept 2021 if you updated him and told him what happened since then and asked for a new investment plan. These are things he recommends TODAY not from a year and a half ago
I think the thing is that chatgpt is a language model and all the data it provides you it takes from some blog posts etc on the internet, as it doesn't have any inside information or secret databases to look into.... so it offers what influencers are suggesting, and the results speak for themselves
The Mikayla that graduated B school with a boring job but got rich-ishhh by watching finance videos and not giving up on multiple streams of income thanks to u lol
This all seems great, but do you need a lot followers or subscribers for affiliate marketing? Just wondering... A good experiment would is to ask Chat gpt how do get lots of followers with $100 lol.
If you provide a goal for the AI to achieve I don’t see why not. If your “goal” is to increase shares at the most cost effective rate then I would think feeding the AI past results would work however I wouldn’t trust it’s advice.
Even if it could connect to the internet and give you up to the minute advice, it would still be obsolete and saturated by the time you try it. Because everyone else will be doing the same thing.

But i don’t understand something. You told it that it is 2023 and explain the situation, you it is telling you on what it can grow or will do better on the future. Not that much on the value that it has lost since 2021z But still it is amazinf
what the heck?????? you told the AI what the current situation is today and that you want it to help make a decision what to buy today (Mar to April 2023). but then you evaluate the bot with if you bought back in 2021? what are you doing?
I don't get why you put in the current information then back dated the experiment to September. Wouldn't it have given you different advice in September? If all those things are down, maybe we should buy them. Like the very overgeneralized advice "Buy low sell high". If markets are down and the robot says to buy.... it's not clear that it's wrong. At least it's not clear yet. I don't think you designed a good experiment here. Love the idea though. Let's see what those picks do in three months from now. That would be a fascinating follow up.
I wonder if you could ask it what sort of modern information it would need, if for example you wasn't sure what to give (like all the modern context you gave without being asked)

it said a 10:5 (2:1) ratio BTC to ETH not "evenly" as you said.. Not $7.50 into BTC and $7.50 into ETH. It would actually be $10 BTC $5 ETH
So basically, you have to have a bunch of followers before you do any of this
I feel like we are doing this a little wrong.
Because of this video I now am going to conduct my own experiment and I gotta say I'm scared as hell.
@@kimmanthe86ai deleted him 😮
Wait, why did you compare his performance as if he bought in Sept 2021 if you updated him and told him what happened since then and asked for a new investment plan. These are things he recommends TODAY not from a year and a half ago
You are quick and accurate. that is some Great info, as usual. Thank you.
I think the thing is that chatgpt is a language model and all the data it provides you it takes from some blog posts etc on the internet, as it doesn't have any inside information or secret databases to look into.... so it offers what influencers are suggesting, and the results speak for themselves
Damnnnn Andrei did it again!!🎉
LOL, is this Mikayla, Mikayla?
The Mikayla that graduated B school with a boring job but got rich-ishhh by watching finance videos and not giving up on multiple streams of income thanks to u lol
Hell yeah, Keep it up brother
This all seems great, but do you need a lot followers or subscribers for affiliate marketing? Just wondering... A good experiment would is to ask Chat gpt how do get lots of followers with $100 lol.
If compiled investment data from Sept 2021 to the present and provided this to ChatGpt would it be possible for it to be more acurate and profitable?
If you provide a goal for the AI to achieve I don’t see why not. If your “goal” is to increase shares at the most cost effective rate then I would think feeding the AI past results would work however I wouldn’t trust it’s advice.
It's because every markets in the world are down lol
Hi Andrei, I just wanted to say that your head is not proportioned to your body in this video, maybe angle problems. But the content is crazy!! Thanks
lol thank you! It's because I slightly lean in to the lens but you can't tell on video
Very interesting content. Bravo!
Even if it could connect to the internet and give you up to the minute advice, it would still be obsolete and saturated by the time you try it. Because everyone else will be doing the same thing.
Its like asking a blind super smart person what the future looks like … haha 😂
Why do you keep referring to September 2022, once your video was published on March 19 2023?
This seems like the worst period, even the markets are very unpredictable. Starting investing recently when the market prices were a bit high, today am more than 60% down
Got my girlfriend to finally start investing after years lol at least 100$ a month at the start of the crash and shes down like 10% 😂😂
just keep investing during these down times, so you can average out, with a long term goal....popular low fee funds like vti or voo...
@@fuse911 yup: investing = how to lose money 💰
low-key sounds overrated and used to clickbait if it was so powerful it would have been kept from the general public
A vital reminder for clarity and transparency! It's commendable to emphasize that the content is for entertainment purposes and not investment advice.
...and if someone has no cash to start?
I just wanted to say that I truly appreciate you, your the reason why I started my youtube channel in the first place. Thanks to you I now teach people about financial literacy and how to invest their money. Thanks once again, and I hope you could inspire more people just like myself to build a youtube channel. 😊❤
weird self promote
@@JmacBoganI checked it out so it worked lol
But i don’t understand something. You told it that it is 2023 and explain the situation, you it is telling you on what it can grow or will do better on the future. Not that much on the value that it has lost since 2021z But still it is amazinf
So he sold securities? I hope he registered them with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission or relied on an exemption. 😬
Is that the flight of the navigator prop behind you?
Please let's not forget that his Twitter campaign is what brought him the investor(s), not ChatGPT.
Right? And he has over 120K followers on Twitter. I feel like this is a pretty big step.
what the heck?????? you told the AI what the current situation is today and that you want it to help make a decision what to buy today (Mar to April 2023). but then you evaluate the bot with if you bought back in 2021? what are you doing?
I don't get why you put in the current information then back dated the experiment to September. Wouldn't it have given you different advice in September? If all those things are down, maybe we should buy them. Like the very overgeneralized advice "Buy low sell high". If markets are down and the robot says to buy.... it's not clear that it's wrong. At least it's not clear yet. I don't think you designed a good experiment here. Love the idea though. Let's see what those picks do in three months from now. That would be a fascinating follow up.
We can always check to see what happens to the portfolio a couple months from now
I wonder if you could ask it what sort of modern information it would need, if for example you wasn't sure what to give (like all the modern context you gave without being asked)
That's pretty interesting... Kind of like asking it to see its own blind spots... thats a cool concept Jamie.
I asked ChatGPT who is the king of finance on youtube, and it sent me here, amazing 👏
BAM! lol, there's no way that happened but thank you
@@AndreiJikh That actually happened, when I asked it said - As an AI language model, I don't have personal opinions, but there are many RUclips channels and personalities that cover finance topics in their content. Some popular ones include Graham Stephan, Dave Ramsey, Suze Orman, Andrei Jikh, and The Plain Bagel. It's important to note that while these individuals may have a large following and provide helpful insights, it's always a good idea to do your own research and seek professional advice before making any financial decisions.--- I mean sortaaa
It would be interesting if you could run this experiment again but using the plugins to get live info, which is the biggest pitfall in this experiment
So true! Wealth has no shortcuts, here are ways to acquire it..🔥
I am fortunate I made decisions that changed my finances for the better (acquired over 1M in 2years) through my financiaI planner. Got my 2nd house in July and hoping to retire nxt yr.

Wait... You specifically provided ChatGPT an updated understanding of select markets (i.e. crypto, stock exchange, banking collapse, etc.)? If this is the case, stating how much money ChatGPT lost between 2021 (the time the model was trained) and 2023 would is not following the scenario you set up right?
Theoretically, ChatGPT would be making recommendations based on an UPDATED understanding of today's market as it stands and predicting what the returns would be after that fact.
*The Fed will acknowledge that they were late to the game, that inflation has been more persistent than they were expecting. So they probably should have tightened sooner, Some analysts believe that the larger banks are resilient and are more worried about the smaller and mid-sized banks. Well, I'm still at a crossroads deciding if to liquidate my $138k stock portfolio, what’s the best way to take advantage of this bear market?*
