The Sun as it orbits our galaxy

The Sun, along with its planets, orbits our galaxy in a clockwise direction with a period of about 230,000 years.
Since the entire galaxy rotates, the Sun rotates around the center of the galaxy with it.
But the Sun periodically dances around the galactic plane, oscillating up and down.
This is because the disk of the Milky Way is also bobbing and weaving around the axis of rotation at the center of the galaxy.
But our galaxy doesn't rotate like a celestial body's rotation, it doesn't orbit.
This is because there is no center of the universe at the galactic scale.
