“As the Clone Wars progressed, more and more ground-based legions found themselves pressed into space combat, including the fighting forces of the 501st. For months, every hour of our downtime was spent in the simulator, preparing for the time we would face our enemies from the cockpit of a 170. Finally the day came to earn our wings. The CIS had staged a daring kidnapping of Chancellor Palpatine, and was being escorted from Coruscant by a fleet of Separatist ships. With only a few veteran pilots on-planet, many of the 501st were pressed into service to drive off the Seps, and buy time for a pair of Jedi Knights to rescue the Chancellor.”

Darth Maul You are only half the sith you used to be
Revenge of the Sith and a New Hope are my favorite Star Wars openings
Hey,
I just wanted to share my opinion that this soundtrack is a pure masterclass. The main reason is that, in my view, it's filled with emotions and represents a pivotal moment in the development of Star Wars: both a beginning (of Revenge of the Sith) and an ending (of The Clone Wars, unfortunately). The remix is done in such a way that what I feel when I listen to the beginning is: allright, this is it, we're there! The adventure/ the journey is ending in a way, but what a way it is! I sense a sort of inevitability, we can't turn back, the die is cast. The sound effects convey a sense of speed (the Jedi Interceptor), hence the inevitability, the impossibility to stop, and when they finally slow down, it allows us to realize the journey we've been on throughout the Clone Wars (the nostalgy 😥). That's why I think if you have the opportunity to watch all of The Clone Wars before watching episode 3, do it: the emotions are amplified, and the story makes complete sense.
PS: this is a good theme to listen to before an exam :)
1:46 battle of heroes 👏👌
I would picture Star Wars Episode 9 Duel of the fates using this soundtrack during the battle of Coruscant.

Picture it: 2015; The Force Awakens reimagined; the opening crawl ends and this theme starts over Coruscant once more. This time Luke Skywalker and Han Solo race into battle side by side in X Wings during the final battle against the Imperial remnant as they retake the Galactic capital. Leia commands the fleet from a capital ship while Lando still helms the Falcon with Chewie and maneuvers distractions so that Luke and Han can play clean up. The first half hour or so before a big time jump is our old heroes achieving a substantial victory over the Empire before we jump ahead.

The last 30 seconds of this should play on the last episode of Clone Wars season 7 as Anakin and Obi get on their fighters to save the chancellor. That’ll bring everything full circle and would be so perfect
