Let's go to TARGET!! I went to visit my momma for Mother's Day and I was like mom can I go to target really quick its for a vid and she's like "only if you don't make me go with you I'm too embarrassed" LOOOOOOL
Low key was kind of hard -- actually I went to the dollar store first but it was too crowded and so I PEACED OUT and took solace in the Target... let's go through the soap dispensers and bathroom things!! :)

I work overnight stocking at Walmart and we call this zoning
The little diamond shaped holes are typically used as a guide so you know how far to pull forward (cover the diamond) so cool to see this in asmr I feel like I actually have something to add to a comment section ☺️

When I worked in a grocery store, we called this “facing”, and it was usually a dreaded task that we had to do if there wasn’t anything else. So we had to go to a very busy aisle (like the canned goods) and pull everything to the front and organize it. You are a saint for doing this.
I worked at a supermarked in Germany for 4 weeks & I loved this task because I didn't need to think and could go at my own pace. As an autistic person, for me organizing stuff is really soothing.

Listen I used to work at a Yankee Candle store and facing all the labels to the front and getting all those jars lined up nice and straight was actually incredibly satisfying. The managers were always like “Summer did such a good job closing last night” and l’m like “yes, yes I know. The drawer was off by $4.08 but everything was stocked and straightened.”
Did the $4.08 matter because I work at a walmart and once my register was $80 short and I freaked out and my manager was just like "eh it only flags things over $100, you're good."
@@davis3052 lol we didn’t have to report cash shortages under $20 to the corporate office but it would definitely be noticed. We got in trouble once for having a slush fund in the back, just a cup with change in it for when you accidentally gave back too many nickels or whatever and came up short. A couple dollars once or twice was no big deal but being short on the regular would have been suspicious

This is super relaxing but also stressful because I work at target and this makes me think of work. Also here's some useless information about target that no one needs to know. We call what gibi did in this video zoning, which is when you go through aisles and organize stuff and make things look more presentable. I do it pretty often, but we also have people who's entire job is to do zoning. But um we're really understaffed so if gibi wants to work at target we could use the help lmao

Yeah at first I felt more stressed because I hate doing "zoning". It just drain my sould for a reason. It's realxing as long as I forget what she is doing. Just looking at the price tag and lining the article make my blood pressure rise ha ha. I hate zoning so much I have PTSD of it now.

It was “facing” at Toys R Us...a better term let’s be real. They didn’t have us reading tags tho so it was all good. Just straighten, and “pull items forward till the holes near the edge of the shelf aren’t visible.” I told a 1-star joke to my trainer (“Just get shelves without the holes,” or something), and he reacted like I told a 3-star joke.

Southern Sounds ASMR was the first ASMRtist i ever listened to. She’s amazing.
Fun fact, as a person who used to work at a Target. What you are doing is called “zoning”. If I was the team member in charge is that section, I would LOVE you . It’s WAY easier and faster to get everything back in the particular order Target wants when it’s nice and orderly like that.

As a Target team member, zoning and organizing the shelves is one of my favorite things to do (when I have the time, lol). I love making my shelves look as pretty as possible. I can't do the same to my room, but my aisles sure are organized and pretty! This was so, so satisfying to watch and seeing everything lined up in nice little rows made my little Target heart so happy ♥️ you're the best, Gibi 🥰

It looks really nerve-wracking. I always think about that anytime I see public ASMR, it seems so scary to film in public lol. I'm not a RUclipsr but I don't think I could ever film comfortably, especially ASMR, in public.
There is also the issue that many stores expressly prohibit photography on their premises.

So, if you ever do this again, a tip for you to make it easier. If you look at the tag on the shelf, you'll notice a long string of numbers. That's the UPC. If you look at the tag on the item, it also has a UPC, and if you match the two up, that's where the item will go!
True. I used to work at target and if I remember correctly, each item has a DPCI, and you can use the last four numbers of it to identify pretty much everything without having to read the whole UPC.
@@JayTee95 assuming the UPC isn't missing, obscured, or faded, in which case when I worked at walmart and meijer you had to get a handheld and look up the item by brand, then find the matching UPC, always had at least a cart or two of damaged or unscannable items

Funny story: I was at Target in the past year and there was a trainee who forgot the code for bananas. Of course, it came right back to me, specifically 8011 at Target as opposed to 4011 at other stores. She looked at me like I was crazy.

😂 Gibi, you gotta go to Ross, 99 cent store, or the toy aisle ANYWHERE. I'm kidding though. But this was fun to watch! Relaxing whispers, and that ambience sounds and low dialogue from the other customers was also oddly relaxing. Who knew!
Watching Gibi put so many of the items in a uniform formation really done wonders for my OCD. I also wear hearing aids and the noise of the items clinging and clanking really give me a lot of sensations. I really enjoy watching this channel. Keep up the good work! :)

Honestly, I think it's really nice that she went from a doll video to a shelf-organizing video almost back to back. It kinda shows how good the ASMR community is at squashing beef in the best ways (specifically between southern and karuna asmr!)

@@Amber-sc9jp Basically Karuna called out Southern Asmr on a policy she had on her channel that said “no politics or religion” during the time in which the BLM protests were happening. Karuna’s fans then sent threats and hate to Southerns channel telling her to change the policy and that she was silencing the voices of those effected by the events happening over the summer. Karuna has since apologized (this beef happened during the summer and it’s really all resolved now) Also Karuna was called out for being racist herself in the past on twitter (2014ish) with some screenshots of her promoting white supremacy and other touchy subjects (like the super bowl promoting other languages during their commercials) but I’m unsure if any of these tweets have been confirmed to be from her actual account. Understood completely I have worked at a walmart and a meijers and this is nice but also causes employees a lot more work especially if they had already worked on matching items with UPC's and just went home only to find that the work was undone

I love this idea so much! It’s a great source of ASMR and it lifts a bit of work off the employees who may not have enough time to make these aisles as nice and orderly as they like. Great job, Gibi! I’ll have to check out Mary’s videos next! X

I just got off work from Target and I've gotta say, yes, zoning can take forever and it can be annoying but it's so so satisfying! I often find myself tapping the items when I organize the aisles too :D
If you do this again, you should do candles and describe the scents, just a suggestion
