Ok, can someone explain why around the Quarry the puzzles seem to want you to get parts of it wrong? Like they're doing the puzzle, it's throwing up that error message where the wrong parts blink red(usually just 1 part, but sometimes more), but it's letting them through anyway? I didn't see anything to indicate that you should get things wrong, nor do I have any idea what those tetris pieces in some of the squares mean. They don't seem to have anything to do with the puzzles they're in, so why are they even there?

There are few randomisers created by pretty talented modders. I suggest searching for Sigma randomiser. It procedurally generates a random puzzle for almost every panel (with exception of elevators or panels too heavily reliant on outside elements like first half of jungle)
In the puzzle on the door into the workshop, there are eight different shapes you can outline. The eight vases on pedestals each match one possible shape, and the matching pedestal gets raised slightly. When you solve it with the shape of the relevant vase (inward, then straight up), the vase will meet the line.

The sideways L and J are laid along the bottom, overlapping. The L is on the left, the J on the right, so the single tiles that stick up are in the middle. The negative square removes the two sticking-up bits and fixes the two tiles below them where the L and J overlap.
Place the shapes on top of each other in a way that the negative shapes negate the overlap.
