Try to see if it's based on your performance, it could sbmm. They said they have thousands of algorithms coded into the sbmm, not just k/d ratios. Which means if you're performing poorly the algorithms will increase the footstep sounds accurately and vice versa if you're performing good

I can hear them fine. My issue is coming to a area where shots are being fired and you don't know which way the enemy shots are coming from before entering a area. Left or right. There should be a arrow or something that says your team is on this side so you know which way to fire shots. Hate when I enter somewhere and turn the wrong way and get shit in the back 😂
Quick tip to everyone , headsets like the hyper x cloud 2, razer black shark v2x , all the Logitech gaming headsets and just 7.1 surround headsets in general aren’t that great for gaming. Get yourself and audiophile headset cause footsteps aren’t in the bass range they’re in the treble mid range and also closed back headsets (noise isolating) make all in game sounds ricochet all over so noise isolating headsets actually make sound muddier and more difficult to differentiate audio. That’s why I got a sennheiser , basically gaming headsets are more for music and music headsets are more for gaming. An open back audiophile headset is a night and day difference from any headset you can buy from a Best Buy

Actually breaking down the audio presets home theatre is technically better as ambient noise is lower due to the wider range in use headphones the footsteps appear louder however so is the ambient noise including harriers explosions etc etc All in all it’s a 50/50 if you actually know how to carry out the tests and plot the data

In all reality the game audio is jacked up, sometimes footsteps are loud other times nothing...and if you don't have a mixamp for your headset then most settings changes arent gonna make that big of a difference.

Not even the audio queues in game are literally broken. Either many places on the map are missing audio scripts for footsteps in certain areas or this game is just rigged. Had 2 enemies come up from behind on a roof and didn’t even hear a sound. It’s amazing Also headphone bass boost is the worse mistake you can do. It literally muddys everything
