I know, right? It's such a sweet vibe even for hard rockers to think so. They have some really great tracks. Thank you, mom, for showing me this experience. Even as an angsty teen boy, I still dug this tune. All of their tunes even.
Number 1 Billboard hit in the U.S. for the Bellamy Brothers the first week of May 1976. I remember this song constantly playing on the top 40, along with Dancing Queen, Paloma Blanca, and 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover. Good times.
This song actually was a favorite on the mainstream rock radio station when it came out, only song of theirs I know that was not a bona fide country song.Great song!
It actually hit #1 on the Billboard charts and #2 on the Adult Contemporary charts, while only hitting #21 on the country charts. "If I Said You Have a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me" hit #1 on the country charts but barely cracked to Billboard top 40.
The Bellamy brothers live close to me. My hubby and I were looking for a fishing spot and came across an old graveyard on the dirt road we were on. We stopped to look at some old tombstones. Their mother was buried there. "let your love flow" was part of the inscription written on her headstone.
Other Yokum Dwight Yokum yeah Other Yokum Dwight Yokum yeah I did pretty good I like a Other Yokum Dwight Yokum yeah I did pretty good I like a doubt to get a 1000 miles after Sometimes I locked Sometimes I locked me in a 1000 miles after Oh divide it take you there Songs code a 1000 1000 miles😅😅😅
Yay!!! I pitched this song the night of the baby shower stream and I was so thrilled that it made the cut. Watching the expressions on your faces was fab. Your love made Jack! And now that love will continue to flow, as you watch him grow and thrive. Parenting is one of the most difficult, but one of the most rewarding experiences of humankind. I am so happy for y'all! And thank you for playing my song!!! 💖
Awesome Lori!! Such a wonderful song, thank you for requesting it. I always loved it (I'm 53 lol). That was such a great livestream, maybe their best ever! I'll always remember that night. Great baby shower for Lexy. And we will always have Brad's interpretive dance, with Lex up front pitching in, on the song Your Eyes by the wonderful Peter Gabriel. That was an instant classic! 😄
Wife here...Love Love Love The Bellamy Brothers.!!..,Alot of their songs has a slight reggae sound,..Which was something that was relatively new in Country music in the 80's...Though they identify as Country ..this song charted high on both Pop and Country charts!! They have alot of Awesome songs!!
I remember being real little skiing with my Dad up in the white mountains of New Hampshire, sitting in the lodge at the top of the mountain on a fresh and sunny early spring day, having a hot chocolate break, looking out over the incredible view and I remember this song playing on the radio and for a brief moment life was perfect.
Love this song! Hadn't heard it in a long time. Ya'll's reaction to the song while playing made me smile.😊 As well as your comments. This song fits you two perfectly! You're going to be great parents!❤
I don't Group The group Federate railroad then I got a song code a Confederate railroad that's a group they got a song called trashy trashy woman Also you know I know I like I like women a little under crazy Little bit on that direction side😊😅😅
Everytime I watch you two you make me smile and the way you feel while you're pregnant and the joy that you're feeling will have such a positive impact on that baby😊❤😊
One of the finest three cord songs ever done. Country music was always ridiculed for being three cord music, but Nashville wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. It took years for them to gain acceptance, but then they dominated Country radio in the 1980's.
I am so Happy for Y'alls Happines of becoming parents. Just don't forget it's not just about when the baby comes out but now there because the baby is already there with you hearing you and responding to your voice, emotions and love. Some of the best parts of becoming parents is the anticipation and is a great time of celebration and building memories for your later years when you look back to cherish all of it. Enjoy every minute and continually remind yourself how blessed you are. Thanks for another great video I always loved this song😊
I'm not a huge country music fan, but "Let Your Love Flow" might be my favorite country song of all, and it's definitely one of my favorite songs of the 1970s as well. It makes me feel good every time I hear it. The Bellamy Brothers are officially two-hit wonders. They had only four songs chart on the Billboard Hot 100 from 1976-1979, and only two of those four were Top 40 hits. "Let Your Love Flow" is their biggest hit by far, and their signature song. It spent one week at #1 on the Hot 100, beginning May 1, 1976. It was also a #1 hit in Germany and Switzerland. Ironically, it only peaked at #21 on the Billboard Country chart. Their biggest hit on Country was their other Top 40 hit, called "If I Said You Have A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me," which peaked at #39 on the Hot 100, but #1 on Country, both in 1979. Their follow-up to that song was called "You Ain't Just Whistlin' Dixie," which peaked at #5 on Country, but did not chart on the Hot 100.
I was 10 years old when this song came out. Have always loved it because it is so positive and sweet. Lex, let that baby listen to the music! Put another set of headphones on your belly!
These guys were considered pop music in the beginning, but this hit crossed over to Country. In their albums after this, they tended to lean to Country music.
I remember seeing these guys way back in the very early 80s, they were playing at place in Florida called River Ranch Resort. It was inside an old fashioned saloon really cool memories back then 🤔
Interestingly enough, the Bellamy Brothers are way extended family of mine on my mom's side of the family, specifically her aunt's side. I've alway dug this tune. Love your vibes and reactions guys.
This is a great song! Yes, its' country music, late '70s or early '80s. Big song. Came on movies and TV shows, too. Yall hear the twangy music and singing. It could be country rock, too. They are from Tampa, Florida area as well. "Dancing Cowboys" and others are good ones, too. Check them out.
Country duo, but this first hit was a huge crossover on the Pop charts. Yes, they are brothers. I was 12 when this was released. Been a fan ever since.
I don't recall this song when it came out in 1976 (I was 4/5 years old), but it was etched into my brain when I watched Little Darlings in 1980. It starred Tatum O'Neal, Kristy McNichol and Matt Dillion. Still broken up about Kristy being a lesbian. Same with Jodie Foster, another of my early crushes. I sure know how to pick 'em, lol.
I agree that you can get a sense of a baby's personality before they're born. When I was pregnant and went to get an ultrasound they had to have an extra tech to grab my stomach and hold her still because she zipped around like she was motorized. I would lay on my side on the bed and she would bounce off the bed like a basketball. She texted me from college a few years ago to tell me she had been diagnosed with ADHD. I told her they were slow on the uptake; I knew that before she was born!
Just tried to comment but it went to your Heart video from the other week. Anyway, you guys have great reactions ...I suggest checking out some Jeff Beck content as he passed on recently...."Beck's Bolero," or his work with the Yardbirds "Shapes of Things" has a great Jeff Beck psychedelic guitar solo. He's up there with Hendrix and Eric Clapton as a top notch guitar. Also, David Crosby passed on recently...it would be cool to see your reaction to his sing as a member of The Byrds "Turn! Turn! Turn! Or "Woodstock" which he sang as part of Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Brad and Lex rule!
Love this! Always have! Anyone out there remember the movie “Little Darlings” with Kristie McNicol sp), Tatum O’Neil and Matt Dillon?? Great “coming of age” at summer camp movie- 👀 lol. They use this song in it, and I ALWAYS think of the movie when I hear it. 😀. Y’all should check it out if you haven’t.. especially if you grew up in the 70-80’s..💯🙂 💖💙💙
Brad & Lex, it's country but it was a crossover hit, country/pop. When it hit the air waves, it hit hard, set the world on fire, a huge hit, their careers got started with this one, & Jack will love jamming to it!👍✌️
..."Class of 76"...Such a Classic...They also did a trilogy of songs know as the... "Old Hippie" songs which were released every 10 years starting in the 80's...90's and then the 20's. Must hear and play them in order...of course I believe #1 is the best but the others show the progression of life of a "Old Hippie" Enjoy!
How could anyone NOT love this song.
💯 agree
Oh probably some rockers...
@@michaelasay8587 I'm a metal head and I love it because it's from my childhood. 💖
I know, right? It's such a sweet vibe even for hard rockers to think so. They have some really great tracks. Thank you, mom, for showing me this experience. Even as an angsty teen boy, I still dug this tune. All of their tunes even.
Man, my uncles love to jam this on Saturday nights 😂
The smiles on your faces through the duration of the song says it all. Thank you.
An underrated gem of the 70s.
Two old hippies that sang great country music. I like " If I said you had a beautiful body " and " Do you love' . They were great. God bless you guys.
One of the catchiest songs ever!

Oh wasn't it though! Man the music we had growing up on, can't beat the 60s & 70s!👍✌️
This song remind me of being a toddler in bellbottoms, and lounge wear, running barefoot across the yard .....it's my childhood.
Such a feel good song. Would definitely make my "Happy" playlist.
This song actually was a favorite on the mainstream rock radio station when it came out, only song of theirs I know that was not a bona fide country song.Great song!

As a lover of rock music, I also love this song
Great tune!
Always gives me AM radio vibes.
This was on the radio so much in the '70s....it always had a way of picking people up. Instant cheer.
Fantastic song! One of my all-time favorites. We need more songs like this right now.
The Bellamy brothers live close to me. My hubby and I were looking for a fishing spot and came across an old graveyard on the dirt road we were on. We stopped to look at some old tombstones. Their mother was buried there. "let your love flow" was part of the inscription written on her headstone.

I’m a Metalhead and I love this song. Always have.
What genres of metal or bands do you like to crank up?
I can’t hear this without thinking of the 1980 movie Little Darlings. Staring Tatum O’Neill & Kristy McNichols
Great song. I always remember it from the movie Little Darlings with Tatum O’Neal and Kristy McNichol. 1980.
At the end of the movie!

Used to live about a mile from Bellamy Brothers Blvd!
Another favorite of mine is “Old Hippie”
I had the 45 in ‘76. Thank y’all for keeping it about the music and your brevity is perfection.
Great Choice! I haven't heard the Bellamy Bros in such a long time. They are a country act, but I believe this song crossed over to the pop charts.
Check Bellamy Brothers Blvd off 52 in in pasco county ..they lived near there..

Yes they’re brothers David and Howard
One of the best songs ever from the 70s, a timeless piece. Still include it in my live stage set to this day.
I'd lie to you for your love, my favorite song of theirs.
Ahhh I can see the love light shining all around you three ❤
You are so ready to be a mama and papa.... everything is relatable to that one significant occurrence...so thrilled you are nearly there...🥰
Huge crossover hit.

Lot's of "awwww" moments in this one. I'm so happy for you two and the baby!
Great classic. Proof that all you need is 3 chords great arrangements and vocals to make a great tune.
