Clockwork night is a must play in this deck, target for ballista and tanker, can banish from grave to add any monster to your hand. Plus that 500 attack puts ultimate at 4900 base.
I would love to see more of these types of profiles even though they might not be “meta” they are just cool decks you enjoy and you can talk about sick tech with them.
I get the exclusion of box. It is definitely a brick, but in scenarios where you can actually utilize the box it can be an important chain block for your combos. Really nice list! Can't wait for my cards to come in.
I really love to play a copy of greater poly, for that sweet Chaos Ancient Gear Giant being invincible, however I dont see a lot of people playing it, maybe mainly beacause you cannot search it?
The deck can actually go first pretty well I've been testing a little and can end on apo for 3 + photon lord/or Hope harbinger + ancient gear dragon off some 2 card combos and if it gets nibbed you can still go into apo for 3 + dragon so not bad. (This is with ancient gear statue). Also what do you think of goods + clockwork I find it pretty good because goods can act as an extender by dumping cat or a starter when dumping clockwork, even with clockwork as a brick you can still discard it/pop it and get value from it and it can search regulus if you choose to side it for going first as extra interruption if you have full combo.
I picked up the new stuff cause my Fusion loving heart wanted to try this out as the go second big smash deck over Tenpai (I save my Quick Effect Synchros for Ghoti), but god please give us a Fortress reprint Konami. Fortress is like $25-30 on TCG Player now from the buyouts that happened after the initial announcements and uggggggh I can't justify that for myself right now.
Really cool tech choices, but what is your win con against Yubel? I currently run Heavy Armored Train Ironwolf with a 3 attack Megaton Golem, but i have to run 2 Ancient Gear Golems for it.
My idea is to summon Dugares > detach 2 materials for any effect depend on the situation > summon XYZ Armor Fortress > detach material so that you can xyz using it > xyz summon "Full Armored Crystalzero Lancer" > activate effect to negate all face up monsters your opponent control. I think taking 2 spots in the extra deck is still better than adding 2 bricks in the main deck
Lol actually what it looks like is the robot from aqua team hunger force. One thing I hate is the few holos Konami does for this deck and then forgets it and moves. All they need to holo is the new cards and hound, fortress, gear box and howitzer
Eclipse is a strong board breaker for ancient gear, however, I don't think eclipse will be great for this particular format. But if we end up in a format where it's strong, I highly recommend it
Your deck list is so much different then mines because I don't play geartown and I don't play commander and neither the trap. My build is aiming to make the fusion quickly playing under nibiru so I don't care about nibiru and I barely normal summon and if I do it's to bait out the ash blossom or anything that stops me from getting my fusion out.
@@Namor87 I play under nib plus why would I put the trap and a monster when I could use that space for more interrupt or anything else plus if the trap isn't in your hand you need to search for it in which they could ash you.
Depends on how you look at it. Will ancient gear ever be a tier 1 threat currently? Of course not. But as a decent rogue pick I think it has some potential
Yeah, it says "you can't set for the rest of the turn" instead of "You can't set the turn you activate" so you actually can set your cards first before using the effect

No hunting hound?? Is that because there’s so many ways to search a card that mentions ancient get golem?

Dragon is a good card. But statue is a GREAT card. Bonkers for the archetype

The format is not very clever to this card right now but Book of eclipse is an insane tech choice for this deck.
Eclipse is a strong board breaker for ancient gear, however, I don't think eclipse will be great for this particular format.
But if we end up in a format where it's strong, I highly recommend it
