I was pleasantly surprised to see two British comedians that I enjoy watching on Taskmaster visiting my home town! Hearing the Lithuanian bird songs and watching you try šaltibarščiai and šakotis was brilliant. And Stebuklas was involved. Did you both make a wish? I have never really seen how šakotis is made - that's a lot of effort 😅
Joe is obsessed with these ridiculous fluffy coats and I’m here for it haha 🧥 😂❤
I'm 2m and I found one at a second hand store that fits me. Slim brown nit with puffs at the collar and cuffs.
It was so funny to see Sarah's comedy show in Brisbane Australia, and now watch her visiting my birth country Lithuania and eating šakotis is just hillarious. Craving for this cake now myself. Time to buy tickets and fly back to Lithuania to see family and friends 🥰
I will watch Sarah do anything. She's such an absolute delight. Much love from Kansas xx
That cake is the coolest baked good I've seen in a long time.
My Lithuanian grandma would send me that "wedding cake" for holidays. It's addictive! You should try it if you haven't!
The cake looks so much fun!! I imagine the flavor is like waffle cones. Delicious!
"I cried when I saw Cardiff."
Who didn't? 🤣🤣🤣
I spent three years in Carmarthen. Seeing Cardiff made me cry tears of happiness. 😂
I love Sarah. She did an episode of another show (can’t remember the name), where Sandi Tolksvig travelled with friends. It was my favourite episode.
A spit-roasted sponge. I've never seen anything like that before. I'd love to try it.
It's like an all edges cake. No spongey core, just all outside edge.
We have them too in Sweden, particularly in the south. They’re called spettekaka, or spit cake.
I've seen them in Lithuania. Never had one and never saw it being made, so I learned something new today, too.
@@beth12svist That's why I like Travel Man -- learn something new every time. 🙂
@@karinhernmarck8281 A long time ago, I was an au pair near Ystad & that's exactly what I was thinking about when I was watching that!
seeing them side by side they really look like theyd be friends. dunno how to explain it, but they look like a very fetching friend pair
I was waiting for this episode for so long! 🎉 🤩
Ah cool, I love both Joe and Sarah and I'm super glad they visited (I tiny part of) Lithuania!
"My and my wife" 💀
Hot air balloon rides look so lovely. It's difficult to trust something so vulnerable, though. I'd want to wear a base-jumping suit, just in case. 😊
LOL! What a funny duo!
That cake reminds me of a waffle cone for ice cream, just thicker
I want to travel with both of you!!
Joe should go to Albuquerque at the beginning of October for the International Balloon Fiesta - the largest collection of hot air balloons in the world. You can walk around the balloons as they get ready to take-off. Over 500. Special shapes and everything. Plus there is Santa Fe and Taos.
They have those cakes here, too (Austria). Called Baumkuchen. Treecake. Never seen them before I came here.
We also have it here in Sweden. It´s called "Spettekaka" (Spear cake) and it´s a tradition in southern Sweden.
What s great adventure..I have never seen cake baked like that...I bet it was delicious since it was cooked over open flame.
Sort of resembles your fluffy coat
Interesting ...like a cylindical crokenbouche without the filling?
I hope you two continue onto new adventures
It maybe has the shape of croquembouche but it has nothing to do with it taste and texture wise. It's pretty sweet and somewhat eggy in taste as such a big cake like in this video can take 60-80 eggs to bake. Texture wise it's somewhat brittle but also chewy and melts in the mouth. Difficult to explain.
The Paul Hollywood of Lithuania 👀
Sveiki, pone, prisijungęs prie RUclips radau pakvietimą, bet tuo pačiu susierzinau, kad esu iš Lietuvos
Ate loads of šakotis in my day, never knew how it was made
he is adorable,
and welcome to visit again next time ♥
I love when Sara encounters cake.. any sort of cake..
I want to go to Vilnius - anyone want to come too?
I enjoyed visiting Vilnius a lot. Hot air ballooning, otoh, is not something I enjoyed and will never do again lol
I hear you😂
'very flavoury'
hope you had fun in our little country :D. All that was missing was a little Alex Horn :(
Would anybody know where I could buy the same mugs as those shown at 1:02 where they pour the Gira, please?
Lithuania
@@DdW85 Very helpful, thanks for taking the trouble.
Most local souvenir shops sell them here
@@Aaa1d11 Thank you. I'll look them up 👍
Where does a man purchase a coat like that? I would very much like one for myself.
Her face trying šaltibarščiai 🤣🤣🤣 gotta be a local to like it😅
I'm not a local but have been exposed :D to various beetroot soups for years. So I loved a Lithuanian variety instantly, too.
camp but never as a boyscout LOL
Döner cake!!!
That guy doing the spitroast was not impressed with Joe
spitcake... erhmmm made from real erhmmm spit
So where is the absolute dead center of the European continent?
Its there, but like a few meters to other side
Joe is so woke.
Don't get why they went to Vilnius for 🤷♀️ absolutely nothing from what can be done whatsoever
Joe Lycett is not funny in any shape or form.
