for me moustache starts off like Dior Homme intense or Valentino Uomo intense and in the dry down you have some of that mysterious Dior Fahrenheit darkness. Compliments galore!
I love all of these hidden gem reviews lately man. Instead of reviewing all of the mainstream ones. Thanks great review! Thinking about getting this soon. Is the pink pepper super prominent in this fragrance or is it the main note but not overwhelming?
Am also curious! I have really fallen in love with the sharp, peppery/spicy but sweet aspects of Layton and also enjoy the pink pepper in Toy Boy. I’m really looking for that spicy, peppery sweet frag, something Layton does superbly well, but most others fall short in the spice department. Great review by the way!
Thanks! And I I agree with you, nice to branch out instead of listening to the same recommendations all the time! Anyway the pink pepper is nothing to be afraid of in this one in my opinion. I've smelled many other fragrances with a much more dominant pepper note. Here it just assists the citrus in giving it fragrance and balancing the sweetness of the vanilla. You would have to really hate pepper to be thrown off by the pepper here.
@@WillKieger I wouldn't call this a spicy fragrance if that's you're after. Instead, the pink pepper here serves to give this fragrance a fizziness, like how vanilla Coke is sweet but still refreshing :)
I have this and Bentley Men Intense, and smelling them together, there is a big similarity for sure....but I like this way better. I think the floral notes make this a little more intimate and softer edged, that the Bentley doesn’t possess. But to my nose, they are similar.
~ On my skin, Tuxedo by YSL leans too soft and feminine for my liking. So I ordered the beautiful, big bottle of Rochas Moustache EDP. It is wonderful...
It’s interesting how you and many reviewers say they can’t smell much rose in this but it is the dominant note in my bottle. It’s basically an airy sweet rose scent. I got the pink pepper but only in the first 30 minutes and just a bit of vanilla in the far dry down. Could this be due to batch differences?
You know I think it’s a matter of how you perceive the scent and what that rose feels like to you. It definitely there, loud and clear as you say, but to me I’ve smelled much stronger interpretations so that’s why I say subtle. I think it’s all relative
Really appreciate your description on this fragrance. I’ve heard many good things about Rochas’ Mustache and compared to YSL’s Tuxedo. Yes, it’s hard to find Tuxedo and it’s very expensive if you find it but I recently bought a rendition from this great fragrance company called ALT. fragrance and their scent is called “Suit and Tie” and I love it. They also have other clones or renditions from other houses but without animal testing or byproducts. Maybe check them out. I will buy Moustache soon, after many good reviews on this fragrance. Thanks 🙏
For me, it does smell similar to tuxedo but it's missing some factors. I bought a sample of Tuxedo and to me, Tuxedo has a stronger pepper and patchouli smell if my nose is right (new to fragrance). Moustache on the other hand smells lighter and less spicy while projecting way less compared to Tuxedo. I smell a bit more vanilla in Moustache compared to Tuxedo also. Other than that, Moustache does give me a bit of a headache compared to Tuxedo if I try to smell it up close too long. I feel like you could rock Moustache on more occasions compared to Tuxedo which is why I still bought it. Most likely going to still buy Tuxedo later on for special occasions. Wished it wasn't sold out everywhere.
It is a matter of taste, to me, it has a mature and upscale vibe, I am in casual style, got this because of the hypes, but it doesn't work for me, I don't like it. for tuxedo, the main note is patchouli, so it is different than this for sure.
@@Jaysgamingchannel I disliked it, and I have a bunch of housemate between ages of 20 and 25, I dont remember exactly with wich fragrance I compared it, but all of them without thinking chose the other, that other one was designer fragrance, not niche,
Top quality content! You deserve more recognition and bigger numbers here on RUclips. Cheers, man! 💪🏼✨

Отличный аромат! Один из моих любимых!

Great review. I agree on all points. This is a beautiful, versatile, all occasions, all seasons fragrance. Definitely an ideal signature scent.
I think it shines best for formal occasions.
Great video!
Very good review 👍🏼
Very nice review and explanation man, kudos to you 👍 price point is crucial for me in trying new fragrances, so your review really helps.
Have one bottle. Getting a backup on my next order. I’m tired of reformulations.

I agree that there are significant similarities between the two
Nice one. Reminds me of Givenchy pour Homme.
Great review! I have it also. Can you do a fragrance + outfit video on the future?
Yep already use it a lot!

I actually get great performance from this fragrance. Strong projection for at least 3 hours.

Just blind bought for $34, hopefully i like it.
Did you like it
@@sunnysingh7640 yes, i thought it was sweeter than it is but is a nice scent.

Where did you purchase it?
Random but if you had to pick one for a signature scent, this or the EN noire sport?
Wondering since you gave the noire a great review as well
id say EN sport since Moustache might feel overpowering on hot days
Very pleasant scent, makes me feel calm 😅
I wish it lasted longer on the skin/clothes

Hey buddy. 🙂
Smells amazing but it gives me headaches. Reminds me of these “papiers d’Armenie” we have in France.

Interesting, I think it can be casually pulled off too, just a nice black t shirt, black pants, and a black jacket...pretty casual

I will buy it from you.
I gave it a shot and it’s just a cheap, weak drugstore fragrance. I don’t get the hype. I wished I loved it like others but I can’t get there.
I did blind buy.. the performance is very very weak.. disappointing and won’t re purchase
I put like 20 sprays of it just to smell anything lol weak shit! Basically a skin scent right the way.
