I never would have thought a 98 chevy shortbed with 150k was worth 16k plus😮 I know it's a real clean truck but wow I need to start snatching those up in my area😂
My dad had one of these back in early 2000 with 2wd for his used appliance and service business. It was a Cheyenne with 4.3 v6. It was, white, long bed,.blue interior. Would drive fully loaded to and from Toronto to grab used fridges, stoves etc to sell in our smaller town. That thing was a trooper. It had an electric lifting metal tailgate i used to love riding up on into the bed. Never thought these would ever become future classics like this.
I remember like it was yesterday taking my uncle's new 98 Silverado for a spin. It is exactly like this one only blue in color. I floored it from a stop to see how fast it would go and I had to let off. It roasted the tires which was totally unexpected. Even tough I bought a brand new 6.2 lt 420 horse 2018 GMC, his '98 still impresses me. He still has it to this day.
I have a 98 K1500 with the 5.7, three door extended cab with leather, 187k. Runs like a champ, had a door replaced, another re-shot and had the hood repainted. I can’t go anywhere without someone wanting to buy it. I bought it from the original owner in 2013, and even though we were in IL he had a drain in his heated garage and there is very little rust.
I drove one of these for work for a few years. Sonuvabetch to park but dead easy to work on an if you didn't mind the fuel efficiency, they could get our of their own way.

These are great trucks and we have had a few come through our dealership.
