"The Virginia Marseillaise" was written by F. W. Rosier in 1863 in Richmond, Virginia. The tune uses the French National Anthem, "La Marseillaise", composed in 1792 by Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle. The march sings about Confederate Virginia fighting the tyrants oppressing her.
I do not represent any of the ideologies, countries, or religions shown on this channel. The purpose of this channel and its content is to historically present the music at hand and does not show support for nor against the party on screen, rather a neutral preservation standpoint so that the music is not lost to time. Not all parties shown on Danjori are widely accepted, however, I merely upload their songs to record history, good or bad. Видеоклипы
Quite a good song. Legally that’s all I’m allowed to say.
oh man
another "chair moved" moment 😅
People gotta stop messing with the timeline! 😵
The French would have probably been very upset with them for this!
Maybe not, since it's said that Napoleon III personally supported the CSA, although didn't get involved as the US threatened war against any nation who recognized the CSA's independence
@@Danjori Except when it came to the British because they openly traded with the Confederates and Lincoln had to make the war about slavery as Britain couldn't be seen to be supporting a nation that was fighting for something they had criminalised.
@@Danjori I think Napoleon III only supported them pragmatically, since the rebels were keeping the US government busy while France supported the conservatives in Mexico against the liberal regime. With the US in a civil war, they couldn't enforce the Monroe Doctrine to stop France.
Es verdad es el ritmo de la marsellesa
In English please!@@marceldurand2058
Good Video!
The portuguese national anthem is based on the Marseilles 2
great song happy to here thisthank you❤❤❤
Simply superb
This is fascinating! I never had heard of this one before. My knowledge of the American Civil War is lacking.
Прекрасно!
I don’t think the Jacobins would’ve been so hot about the usage of their anthem.
They were kinda opposed to slavery so…
Merry Christmas! What is the "Trenchaat Brand"?
Might be a lyrical take on "Trenchant", like writing it "Trencha't", but it means something that's penetrating or sharp
France: Major Key
East Virginia: Minor Key
I'm not saying anything.
But if the CSA would've won, america would've been weakened and therefore wouldn't have forced Japan to open up all their ports, leading to the slaughter of Asia by a westernized Japan, and the winning of the Filipino Independence War by the Kapitunan, (totally not biased.) Of course acting like this means that any amount of death isn't possible, but realistically slavery would've been entirely obsolete in a couple years, so if we're considering trading lives, there could be worse outcomes.
But there's a fair chance that would have made a solid net positive effect on the world. Spain losing to the Kapitunan could've led to increased revolutionary fervor in Asian colonies, eventually leading to a earlier independent and westernized Asia.
Also I'm a southerner Dixie forever, Dixie forever, down with the Stars and Stripes, states rights, states rights.
dont like the csa but this is a good song
All the talk about "liberty" is quite ironic for a country that seceded to preserve slavery. The mention of whips and bars in the second verse is, well...
Liberty to own slaves
In their mind they were seceding to preserve that which the Founding Fathers intended. Their liberty was the right to govern themselves.
It was more a matter of taxes, seeing as how Union states kept slaves and Lincoln noted he'd allow slavery if it meant the Union stayed together.
when its hairy 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
i love the vid btw
What a soft and lovely tune for the nation built on a horrible concept
But lets not start a Civil War debate now
Civil war debate, huh?
DURING THE THREE KINGDOMS PERIOD THE DEATH OF ZHUGE LIANG WAS THE GREATEST TRAGEDY TO EVER OCCUR IN CHINESE HISTORY AND SHU HAN SHOULD HAVE WO- oh, wrong continent.
Ah yes, La Marseillaise, truly a "soft" and "lovely" tune.
Let's not talk about taxes in regards to the Second American Revolution, yes. Let's only stick to the narrative, according to a man who did not live past 1865 which the Federal government built a cult around in order to prevent revolution for a THIRD time.
You just did
