Catching luderick and drummer off the rocks

Just found your channel, new subscriber for sure, love ya content. Curious about the length of rod you fellas where using, looking to pick up a luderick rod and debating getting the 10' or a 12'

I would recommend the 12’ for rock fishing. It will help you to keep your line above the waves and rocks.

For drummer I use 30 pound main line and 20 pound leader

You can climb down onto the ledges. Quite steep but doable. Only safe to fish in a slight swell though - dangerous otherwise

@@fishingfables3971 i have noticed its a low ledge.might throw some rope in for safety and go for a climb.ive had no luck lately on the drummer.got busted up left right and centre 2 weeks ago.had to revert to luderick hooks and cabbage.they didnt want prawns or cunjie.was a weird session.

For drummer I use cheap bobby corks and for luderick I make my own long stem floats

Hi - Sydney's northern beaches. plenty of headlands to choose from depending on the swell.
